Came here for a coffee and yap with my mom. The shop is located inside an old-school movie theatre that also houses a church. The inside is large and spacious. You walk in to the lobby of the "movie theatre" and immediately see the counter to order/where the baristas are. Straight back is a dimly lit seating area with a variety of seat types and directly to your left is the cutest little nook with two high back chairs positioned in front of the window. The barista was friendly and when my mom asked for something not quite on the menu, she was able to make it. We ordered the salter caramel pistachio latte and a shaken espresso with whole milk and sugar free vanilla syrup. Both were delicious. I can't wait to come back and try other items from the menu.

Stopped in this past weekend before walking around the Palafox market. I ordered a matcha latte with coconut milk and pistachio syrup. It was very good matcha, you can tell they use quality matcha powder. My sister got the cookie butter latte which she loved! My niece who is 8 months old enjoyed the "lil rex" with strawberry.

I'm gonna be honest... I only found this place because I was walking to Fosko's x) But I am ALWAYS looking for smaller and/or lesser known businesses to support, so I decided to try it. First, the people are great. I had the pleasure of interacting with multiple employees, all of which were so friendly. I was welcomed in immediately, which was such a pleasant experience, especially when you're used to almost being ignored when walking into the bigger, busier shops. The vibe in here is so chill and romantic. Easy background music, warm lights -- "inspired by European cafes and old Hollywood movies" was the inspiration, and it couldn't be more accurate. Multiple little nooks for you to sit down at. I got the iced chai tea and banana bread, both of which were delicious. If you're a student or you work from home and are looking for a new place to enjoy your work days -- REX IS IT.

Great coffee, friendly service, and a relaxing environment with WIFI. A nice spot to relax and enjoy a moment during your day! There's lots of modern comfortable furniture to sit, bring your lap top, and get some work done while sipping on a cup of deliciousness.

I've been on vacation in the area for about a week now. Tried multiple coffee shops that seemed really popular but found them all disappointing. I suppose I'm a bit of a snob and want my latte well made. I stopped by here and noticed the good reviews online. It was excellent! The people working were nice, and seemed to know what they were doing. I make lattes at home myself and am a former barista, and noticed they did it all right when I briefly watched them make it. It was delicious. Highly recommend

Great new coffee shop downtown with the most Delightful of spirits serving you! They also have THE best espresso never consumed!

This is my favorite place! When I was pregnant, it's all my baby craved (yes... gestational…read morediabetes followed ). When it's been a hard week at work, this is my go-to pick-me-up for coworkers. It gives total "wow factor" vibes when someone tries it for the first time. And now I have one more reason to love Bagelheads -- the service!! I accidentally ordered online for the Davis Hwy location instead of downtown. Before I could even panic or ask what to do, the workers said, "Don't worry, we've got you, girl." Now I'm sitting in my car writing this review because I just love this place and the people inside it so much.

Best bagel in Pensacola. Full stop…read more If you are along the water and looking for a breakfast spot, then Bagelheads may be your jam. Bagels and pastries of so many kinds plus phenomenal breakfast sandwiches and so much more. Almost everyone loves a good bagel, and they even have some gluten-free options (with some qualifiers). You can get a number of cream cheese options or other toppings, and their lox has that phenomenal smoked flavor. The Lox Works, complete with cream cheese & capers, can be done on your choice of bagel. In fact, any of the breakfast sandwiches can be done how you want it, and there are literally a million combinations. There's plenty of seating inside & even outside, so you can enjoy the view of the placid gulf as it laps up to Pensacola Beach while enjoying your breakfast. Bagelheads even offers their own roast coffee blend, called 'Mac Daddy', and it's a very robust cup of coffee. Self-serve coffee runs you $3.50 & you can get a dozen assorted bagels to go for $20, which will make whomever you bestow them upon very happy. You can even drive-through! Great local small business with an outstanding offering, great service, and a great brand.

Had lunch here and tried a few menu items. I liked the smoothies, avocado toast and tofu scramble,…read morethe açaí bowl was ok but the açaí itself didn't have much flavor. The everything cookie and matcha cheesecake were really good. All the staff were super nice and accommodating, and I enjoyed the live music on Sunday. Will be back!

Cafe Single Fin: Great Concept, Average Plate…read more Cafe Single Fin is one of those places where the experience starts before you even find the restaurant. I drove around the block several times looking for it. Turns out, the restaurant is tucked inside a surf and skateboard shop. Once I finally figured that out, I walked in and immediately knew this wasn't going to be your average Pensacola lunch. The cafe is basically the centerpiece of the shop, surrounded by some seriously interesting vibes. I was greeted by scream-o music, which eventually segued into coffeehouse music and then some lighter indie stuff. Quite the musical journey. I half expected the playlist to ask me to pick a lane. What drew me in was the menu. Clean, interesting and exactly the kind of thing that makes you think, OK, these people might be onto something. I went with the blackened mahi tacos with rice and beans. And this is where things got a little less interesting. The food was fresh. The presentation was nice. Unfortunately, the flavor never really showed up for work. The mahi was supposed to be blackened, but I'm not convinced the blackening seasoning actually made it from the kitchen to the plate. The beans were also undercooked and under-seasoned. Nothing was bad, exactly. It just lacked the punch that the menu had promised. And that's the frustrating part. There is clearly a cool concept here, and the menu has enough personality to make you expect something memorable. The plate just didn't deliver the same energy as the room. Maybe I'm simply outside the target demographic. There seemed to be a pretty strong twenty-something surf/skate crowd, and perhaps I'm just not fluent in the culinary dialect of that demographic yet. Interesting place. Interesting concept. Interesting vibes. Friendly/helpful staff. Pretty average food.
