Having nothing to do, I walked the dirty & sad streets of Downtown LA, when guess who I run into? An old mate, pal, comrade or just friend if I'm starting to get annoying. He too at that moment had no prior engagements and thus we were blessed with the opportunity to catch up while having a few laughs. As we tried to decide what to do, almost magically we caught knowing eyes with each other and blurted out simultaneously, "Talk like 1920's gangsters while smoking cigars!" And as fate would have it, there was King Cigar Lounge, not but 50 feet from where we stood. Talk about synchronicities, right? We stepped inside and took a look at their diverse cigar stash, then proceeded to the outside smoking area for some puffs and people watching. All along the way our conversations were filled with words like, say and see. Actually every sentence we spoke the whole night consisted of the words say and see. The people sitting around us were quite annoyed but neither of us noticed as we puffed our cigars and drank the sodas we bought from inside, since our throats felt like a dry desert. However we soon bothered nobody with our old timey gangster twang since they all seemed to be members which allows you access to the more spacious and comfortable back room, where there are also lockers to keep your cigars and personals. After a few hours, the cigars were finished and there was a nice buzz that it left behind. My friend and I hugged and said our good-byes, hoping to run into each other again. The setting was perfect, it's smaller and less crowded than Bar Jackalope and the good feelings from seeing an old friend after a long time was a nice present from the universe. Keep keeping your eye out for synchronicities and presents from the universe my friends...

*The Best Cigar Lounge within an Hour to Disneyland*…read more My fam went back to Disney every night. I couldn't find a lounge Sunday or Monday. Then, Tuesday I found 8 Eighty Eight Cigar Lounge! What a great lounge. The parking lot it's in is the same you'd use for Cultura Tacos y Mas and Fuoco's! What a trifecta!!!!First, up front Robert (Bob, Bobby) is the best! Very knowledgeable able and top notch when interacting and delivering great customer service. Love they have Opus X's and the next two nights I went to town haha. They have 4 chairs in the front room and very well lit. Middle Room, Bar Room, is where McKenzie is throwing down! This is more that darker, club vibe. This has a lot of hightop seating and many TV's, not to mention a killer bar. Also awesome. She recommended a burrito place in the same parking lot and it was the best burrito I've ever had! The Third area is straight lounge chairs, music, digital jukebox and bathroom, with medium lighting. This lounge is very deceiving one would think it's very small if you go to the front but then you'll see if it's very large. Loved spending my time there both nights. *Overall, there aren't many lounges now down there, thank God this one's so good!*

Using Yelp, we located this hidden gem. I called to confirm they were open, but no one answered. after 30 secs I got a call back saying sorry I missed your call. I was speaking with Mario who I had the pleasure to meet shortly after. Walking in, there was a nice size humidor with high end, medium, low budget options. I picked a few shown in the attached pics. Both well aged and conditioned. Worth noting, It is rare to find a cigar lounge with a full bar in OC and in general in California. Only other two I've been to is one in San Diego and another in Danville. Vegas lounge vibes with dimmed lighting and multiple screens. The front cigar-bar lounge has ample high top chairs and tables. Easily can seat ~30 people. Every seat has a view of the screens which is great. High ceilings and very good air ventilation. The bar had great supply of everything, and service was great. The bourbon was reasonably priced but the Japanese scotch was way way over priced, ah well lesson learned, won't order those again. The second/rear lounge had larger leather couches and chairs with a few screens with less distractions for cigar enjoyment. Can seat another 20+ people. Overall I would rank 4.0 stars! one suggestion is for management o provide a menu with alcohol pricing instead of us needing to ask waiter each time what cost of a drink would be. I will definitely be back!

The walk-in humidor has some of the best selections of cigars you can find. If you don't know what you want, the owner provides great insight and recommends you a cigar based off of your experience and needs. Choosing to set inside or out in the patio is always a tough choice because you cannot go wrong with either one. If you choose to sit inside, it truly feels like being at that part of your home were you go to relax and unwind. There are multiple tvs with primetime UFC, NFL, NHL and NBA games. If you are looking to do some activities while you enjoy your cigar you can grab some friends and have a poker tournament or play some board games. Or you sit on one of the many sofas, read or get some work done. The outside patio feels serene. The lighting and set up of the patio gives an area of peace and quiet in an otherwise busy city. It feels like a great temporary escape from everyday life. Very beautiful. Along with the cigars that are a variety of snack and drink options. Always keep an eye out on the socials from special events i.e jazz nights. Overall, I highly recommend La Casa Cigar Lounge. You can't go wrong.

The service was great I believe Kayla, was the young lady who helped me. Now I almost NEVER let some one cut and light my cigar in particular I like a crown cut or a center punch and it's intimate to me having someone light your cigar and hold it up to your face... it's similar to not letting just anyone blow your dice at the craps table. Idk it's my thing. BUT I DECIDED to let Kayla give it a shot and she did amazing. A perfect symmetrical crown cut and even light. I told here right then and there she can cut and light my cigar ANYTIME. If you should be so lucky to get the opportunity... take it. That said the vibe is great here it's an intimate size with maybe 9-14 chairs and one of the most comfortable couches I've ever sat in, an outside section in the back and a member upper level. Terry the owner is a great dude, and seems like a wealth of wisdom. Derrick is an immaculately scented debonair gentleman who I believe manages the place, we got to talk about Horus and golf (I was wearing the eye of Horus and he was wearing an ankh) Overall I had a great time and would come back in a heart beat highly recommend a visit! If you're in the area definitely stop by and check it out.

Minestrone: Better than the Caesar salad. Warm, light with tomato. Caesar Salad: Tastes like any other caesar salad. I loved the topping of sliced cheese grating, it was a nice added touch. Calamari Fritti: Subpar, the breading was light and squid was soft. Nothing new in flavor. But there was a lot of calamari which was Escargot Bourguignonne: Paired with light lemon juice. The escargot was cooked softly. Okay, but not surprising in flavor. Prime Rib of Beef-Medium: I can see why this dish is popular. It dish was huge, despite the cut being so thick, the texture was really tender. New York Cheesecake: Just like a normal cheesecake drizzled with raspberry sauce. Chocolate Flourless Cake: I would say, the flourless cake was surprisingly better than the cheesecake. The cake wasn't dense but it's like a Japanese chocolate cheesecake.
