My wife and I toured The Reserve in Gardner, KS with Assistant Leasing Manager, Jenna. We were very impressed with the grounds and amenities. The display townhouse was attractively designed and well appointed. The bedrooms are a little smaller than the ones we have now but not altogether uncomfortable, especially for the price. Jenna was courteous and pleasant throughout our tour of the facilities and not the least hesitant to answer our questions or concerns. I liked what we saw and when we are ready to move this Fall I have no doubt we'll visit with Jenna again. read more

I moved into The Reserve at Moonlight a few weeks ago and I love living here. Everything has been easy and a big part of that is thanks to Lacey from the office staff. She was super friendly and helped me a lot. She has a great attitude when I come to the office and she's even learning Spanish which I think is very good. I recommend this place to live. read more

We occupied a 2b/1b upstairs until from 2022-2023. During our time at The Reserve we had a multitude of maintenance requests, including but not limited to the washer/dryer combo, air conditioner, and oven not functioning properly. The oven was replaced promptly as there was an issue with the knob and it would not shut off. However, the replacement was an older model brought in from their storage garage. We are certain that the replacement led to an infestation of roaches a few days after it was replaced. We bought expensive treatment ourselves and that solved that issue. The left-front burner on the replacement stove never did function correctly. At various points during our lease the washer or dryer in the combo stopped working. We were without a washer for 2 weeks at one point and a dryer for about a month. We had repeatedly requested a replacement of the combo but that was not fulfilled until a week before we moved out. The air conditioner was an issue at two different points; it was not fixed at the point we moved out. The trash disposal situation is a nightmare. Residents do not place items or bags in the receptacle, so there are commonly flies and piled bags surrounding the dumpster area. There is little done by management to encourage any change in trash procedure. The wood on our deck was very brittle and in areas it would give under a person's weight, especially close to the storage room door. Management IS very watchful of what you keep on your patio, which is good, but seems a little mismanaged as trash bags and items remain on some units' patios for an extended period of time. In Gardner, your options for reasonable apartment units are scarce, but I would encourage you to research other private landlords or options within the area before signing a lease with this property. read more

I have lived at Moonlight for around 6 months now. I am not really an apartment person but was attracted to this complex due to the way it was set up. Looked like little "mini" homes, lots of space outside so no feeling of being crowded. The staff are excellent. The maintenance crew are phenomenal. It is quiet, well maintained and clean. I would recommend this complex to anyone! read more

I have only lived here for less than a year and it was not that bad until i decided i wanted to move out. Lacey and jenna are amazing, but Stacey Mittelstaedt is unprofessional and very rude. Instead of speaking to me on the phone she decides to text me. Making me feel very uncomfortable to where i do not want to go to the office. I had not signed a notice to vacate form and she already had my apartment on the market. I had spoken to one of the gals there and she had told me i had some time to decide whether or not i wanted to move forward. Then immediately I had received a message from Stacey stating that my apartment was already on the market. I had told stacey i had not signed anything and she told me they don't need my signature just a verbal. Not only is she rude, but the apartment complex is not clean and yes it is convenient to the school if you have kids, but you are paying way too much to be living in a crap hole. I would not come here and just go to a townhome or duplex where you can pay the same price. I have tried to reach out to the regional manager Brandii Spradling and she is never there. I called and stacy answered i hung up the phone and she texted me saying looks like i called. I have told the girls there i am not moving forward with my lease and stacey still contacts me via text. I thought when you are making any kind of transaction you need to speak on the phone as things can get mixed up when texting. read more

My opinion..They are all telling the truth. Good reviews are all fake reviews. Somebody very greedy this Apt.They will take your money away every penny 's you got.also I lived 2years nothing nice things to say about this place . So many silver fish always constantly maintenance came in check with something very annoying.Water bills so high we have to pay for outside sprinkler which is often broken running water on the street often like a River.We have to share water bill same unit . my water bills is so expensive every month.Swimming pool never clean kind a greenish water mold always inside.. When I move out pretty clean I didn't get any deposit back l don't recommend anyonemove in to this Apt. when you decided to move in good luck ! Office workers bit wired. and house balcony door l got mold growing tiny mashroom grown .cuz door fram was so soft and old. This is a great friendly place to stay. The front office staff is great to get along with. Lacey at the front desk is wonderful in helping out. The whole office staff is great! Maintenance is very quick to fix any issues that arise. This is a pet friendly place. I love the fact I Get to have my dog with me. The extra thing they offer are super great. read more

The Reserve at Moonlight is clean and the Staff especially the manager Brandii, She absolutely went above and beyond to help us and to make sure that we were pleased with our apartment and the complex. I can't recommend this any higher. The staff is so knowledgeable and Friendly. The pool are is always clean and You always feel safe at the reserve. An awesome place to call home. The entire complex is neat and clean and maintenance is always ready to fix whatever needs fixed WhIch I have to say we are lucky we haven't had to call them. . I hope you enjoy living at the Reserve as much as we do. read more

RENTERS BEWARE!!! I toured a couple of the apartments and the model when looking to rent here and everything looked great, especially the model which was staged wonderfully. It was the middle of the day and most residents were gone at work and it was very quiet. Stacie(management calls her Weekend Stacie as that is when she works most) showed us around and she was absolutely wonderful. She was very kind, easy to talk to, and answered all my questions. They call themselves a maintenance free community, stating that we will never have to do any work on our place and they will do their best to fix any and all issues. However, since moving in to a second floor unit there has been nothing but problems from day one. The washer/dryer combo has stopped working multiple times, three so far. Maintenance does not service these themselves. They will come and look at them but any work done on them is handled by a GE technician and there is only one that services all of the Gardner area. Minimum time to have this fixed has been week and the longest has been three weeks. I was also missing a set of blinds over the window in the entry way which sits about 10 feet up. I asked to have this replaced so the neighbors could not see in and was told the maintenance staff could not fix it as it was too dangerous for them to be on a ladder there. All other surrounding apartments have these installed though. There have been leaks in the roof in multiple locations in the unit and I don't mean just a drip. It was streaming down a window and sliding glass door. This required more than four months to get fixed, more than five trips out from maintenance, and finally a roofing company came out to fix it right. However we had to call the office twice to get them to get the company to come out and actually fix the problem. As they got an on-site estimate but never scheduled them to fix the problem. The heart rate sensors on the treadmill in the gym will shock you and I don't mean because they work so well. They literally shock you when you put both hands on them. The grounds have a sprinkler system and as I was driving through one night, I notice one that was busted spraying like a fountain straight in the air and landing on a tenant's car. That was month ago and it is still busted. They don't care though, because the water bill is shared by all tenants and high, as in $50-$60 per month. I never paid over $25 in my previous town home in Lenexa. There have been other issues but the absolute worst of them all is the office manager. Her name is Stacy, not the same as Weekend Stacie who again and I cannot say it enough was absolutely wonderful. Manager Stacey is down right RUDE. When you tell her about your maintenance problems she barely looks at you while you speak and rolls her eyes, as if it is some great inconvenience for her to listen to your problem. She keeps horrible records of the maintenance requests as well. So if you are having a repeat problem they have trouble finding or evening locating the past request at all. If you call in your maintenance request good luck getting her to answer, when she works it almost always goes to voicemail for her to handle later. Even then she will not call you back to let you know it is being taken care of, you just have to assume that it will be done. Also any packages larger than your mailbox will be delivered to the office. They have a separate locked closet where these are all kept and residents are supposed to sign for them, when they get them for you. Manager Stacy leaves the door unlocked and will tell you to get it yourself. You are nothing more than a rent check to this person and not a loved tenant. PS I have NEVER had a late rent check with them, not even by a day. I even over paid them once because of an issue with their online system being down. They have changed owners twice since moving in and yet the same management staff remains in the office. This can't be a good sign as to the quality to anything about this place. To be honest I cannot wait until my lease is up so I can leave what has to be the worst renting experience in my life. Back to the Overland Park area where the rental properties truly seem to appreciate your business with them. read more

We used to like living here. When we first moved in 3 years ago, we loved it. Then this year they made some changes and not for the better if you ask me. Things kind of went downhill. Most of the same people work their....but it's different. The maintenance crew is different though. We liked the other ones better. More personality and they were nice. These newer ones are like talking to a brick...so much fun! They let anyone in here, and they don't enforce the rules without making you feel like a tattletale. There is trash in places that shouldn't be. People parking under the carports who aren't paying for them like we are. Not fair! I have a feeling this will be our last year! read more

I wouldn't recommend anyone to want to rent from this facility. In the lease agreement they ask for a 60 day notice we gave that now there wanting money saying it wasn't given. 1) The complex says dogs are suppose to be on a leash when out and your suppose to clean up the dog crap. That isn't being done all over the sidewalk of where my family member lived it was all over sidewalk to the door way and all over the grass so when walking in the grass you had to watch every step to make sure you didn't step in it. 2) when moving out a pit bull barked and chased family into back of truck and the owner yelled the name of the dog 3 or 4 times before walking over and getting the dogs collar and pulling him back into the apartment Thought they were suppose to be on a leash. 3) Don't put icemelt out in time fashion so no one falls and gets hurt. 4) The apartment was cleaner when family member moved out than when they moved in to the complex. 5) Got pictures of all the dog crap everywhere people want to walk. I wouldn't recommend this apartment complex to my worst enemy. Not a good place. read more
