Let's start at the beginning, I walked in with no appointment and was told that my deep tissue massage with hot stones was going to be $80 , which is more than reasonable and that I would have to pay before receiving my massage which I completely understood and complied with. The lady whose name I should've gotten, passed me a receipt for a total of $86.40. I was confused since she did not mention my total being $86.40 prior to charging me, so I asked and she said it was for tax so I just noted that as red flag number 1 and went on about my massage since I had already paid. I get back and get undressed and lay down and told her that I just wanted my back to be worked on and she seemed confused but then said ok and mentioned something about my feet and I asked her if a feet massage was included? She paused and said uhhhh yeah, since she didn't seem too sure I asked again because I didn't want to be hit with an extra charge. I asked so I won't be charged extra for a feet massage because it's included in the $86.40 I already paid, and she said yes so I said okay then I'll also get that. She worked on my back and I could definitely understand the previous reviews about her not using enough lotion, it didn't bother me much but I could see how someone could be uncomfortable. Then she finished working on my back and instructed me to turn around so that she could work on my feet. I turned around and as working on my feet it did feel pretty good so I was starting to doze off. Idk if she saw me dozing off or if she was distracted by something else but I gently wake up and feel her not even working on my feet just rubbing my skin with the same amount of force you would rub a newborn with, no none. I tried to move to give her some cues that I am still up and feel her and she would continue to apply more pressure to my feet but then would stop as soon as I stopped moving. I was highly confused as to why she wasn't moving or massaging, and the I heard the timer go off. So I'm not 100% sure but my guess is that she was waiting out the timer. The timer goes off and I open my eyes as she finishing so she's knows that I am very much still up. She instructed me to get dress and to meet her outside. I get outside to finish signing my receipt to add tip, because of how she barley massaged my feet and the fact that she did not tell me how much I was paying before I actually paid, I wanted to make my total $90 so I left a $3.60 tip. This woman was staring me down as I'm filling out the receipt which made me very uncomfortable. Normally I'm really good at tipping and will tip between $10-$20 at least because I understand that massaging is a very physical job and requires much physical labor for the satisfaction of one customer. But after leaving that place I'm glad I only gave her $3.60. I finishing writing the tip and total on the receipt, I said thank you, and as I'm about to walk out she said hold on how much? She looks at the receipt and said only $3. I said yes I wanted to even out my total so I made it $90. She then said you're only giving me a $3 tip, so I reiterated yes I wanted to make my total $90. She then looks at me crazy up and down and the ok goodbye and I ok thank you goodbye. Overall my experience could've gone a lot better, and her customer service skills need to improve. I would recommend going there for a decent experience. I would go back to give it a second chance but after the look she gave me I don't think I'm welcomed back lol.

In the hour that I was there, there were 3 walk-ins, one with an appointment and a few phone calls. However, despite this activity, my masseuse, Linda, only left the room once. Room was big and a little chilly. I thought they keep the heat down to keep costs down or maybe they are trying to go green and conserve on fossil fuel consumption. But, they reason they keep the heat down is because when they are giving a massage, they work up a sweat and if it's cooler, they don't get so hot and tired. If they are comfortable and happy, as long as I get a good massage, I'm OK. After seeing Linda, first glance, first impression, I almost requested to see who else was available. Linda is tall and slender and a lot younger than most masseuses. I figured that bending over a table giving a massage for an hour would be to strenuous. But, never underestimate their ability to give a good massage. I'm glad I stayed with Linda, she gave a very nice massage. Too bad China Meridian doesn't have those bars for walking on back. She asked if I wanted "soft or hard" I responded "hard". I was then asked "I walk?" I replyed "sure, yes." Then like a gymnast Kim was up on the table and walking on my legs and back. Her toes were operating almost independent of one another. She was definitely getting "the lay of the land." Everything else was as you'd expect. Classical music playing, massage oils used, warm blankets, at one point a heated moist towel, etc. The few times I spoke - I actually felt as though I interrupted her concentration. Not in a bad way by any means. She was perfectly cordial. Kim was genuinely in the zone. Honestly, her hands were like that of a six year olds. So tiny, yet she could crumble granite with them! It is clean and operated by Angela, who has years of experience in the traditional healing arts called Tui Na. I made an appointment for later in the afternoon via text message, and she responded promptly to schedule the appointment. My lower back periodically acts out due to old herniations and recently has called out for attention. A "fantastic feel" result was what I was hoping for. I decided to give it a try. Angela worked hard. She had strong hands and often used her forearms and elbows to mix deep tissue techniques with a softer traditional stretching style. She was very good, and kept distractions (phone calls, customer walk ins) to a minimum. Bottom line - My back relief was almost instantaneous. While first pushing/probing was painful, I felt the tension from muscle spasms lighten and eventually disappear by the time she finished. I couldn't have asked for a better result. My only suggestion would be to have a receptionist to handle calls and walk ins while she is providing treatment.
