I have been taking lessons from Frank for a couple months now, and have been throughly enjoying…read moreevery lesson and also seeing a lot of progress despite not having any drumming experience. Frank's teaching style is very open and catered to the student and he makes learning very fun and is also very encouraging especially for beginners! I would highly recommend if you're looking for a drum teacher/lessons, Frank is very helpful and knowledgeable!

I am completely dumfounded that someone could leave a negative review of Frank's efforts in any…read morecapacity, whether they be studio drumming, lessons, recording--you name it. He is a consummate professional and one of the hardest working people I have ever met in my life, who makes this look easy (doing music professionally). The only people who would leave a negative review are posers and reverse-shills. Having worked with Frank in nearly every facet, short of being taught how to play drums (I have taught with him though for years), it goes without saying for me, that he is worth every star I just gave him, because that is what he is: a star and a sun. If you don't believe that as well, it is because you reside in the shadows, where you belong. A bright star casts a dark shadow, and there you are. Frank has played on many of my songs and has recorded and engineered on more songs than I can count well beyond my meager contribution to music as an art form. You don't need to take my word for it. Try him yourself, and then one will not be speaking from a place of ignorance, in the shadows.

The owner is friendly and even makes his own instruments, and the sound is exquisite. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for an instrument. I changed my cello two years ago, and since you recommended one made in Germany, I've been playing it really well. When I perform with the orchestra, people often say the sound is amazing, and even in competitions, the judges have complimented me on how beautiful the sound is.

Both Dustin and the instructor, Ms. Heidi, were welcoming and allowed us to sit in during the trial lesson. Within just a few minutes, we felt confident that my daughter was in good hands. Dustin is professional, honest, and clearly passionate about what he does. We instantly loved the vibe, it's a place where music is truly appreciated. With a musical background myself and experience working at an instrument store during college, I was genuinely impressed. I enrolled my daughter for lessons right away. They offer flexible violin rentals for 3 to 6 months, and if you decide to buy later, Dustin can credit your rental payments toward the purchase. It's definitely worth it.

Steve was super nice and easy to talk to which made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. My boyfriend had P90s installed in his Les Paul and needed it back in time for a gig, and Steve delivered! On my BC Rich he dialed everything in perfectly the intonation is spot on! the action feels just right, and the neck adjustment made a huge difference in how it plays. It's not easy to find someone who works this fast and still pays attention to all the details, but Steve definitely does. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any of our guitars back to him, we live in Long Beach and his shop is so close to us another plus!

I've had plenty of basic setups before, but this felt like a whole different level of attention and care. He walked me through what makes his Rockstar Setup different and you can tell it's not just a quick adjustment, it's a full dial-in of the instrument. When I got my guitar back it played incredibly smooth, stayed in tune better, and just felt more responsive overall. Anything and everything that could be oiled or lubricated was taken care of. The amount of work and detail that goes into the rockstar set up actually takes a few days and I guess depending on the condition of your guitar the longer it takes. My guitar had a lot of rust on the bridge and tuning keys. One of the saddles was even frozen in place and I couldn't get the string out. Steve took care of it. I didn't even notice how bad the condition of the guitar was in until I saw all of the photos Steve took. (Before and after). Who does that? It's hard to describe, but it actually made me want to pick it up and play more. Everything felt tighter and more precise without sacrificing comfort. The smell of the oil on the bridge and the lemon oil on the neck actually smell good too! You can tell Steve takes pride in going beyond the standard setup and really bringing out the best in the guitar. If you're on the fence about upgrading from a regular setup I'd definitely recommend going for it. I'll be sticking with the Rockstar Setup from now on.
