You altered a dress for my daughter for a wedding that was on 7/5. You told her you would have it done on 7/4 and she could pick it up on 7/4. When she arrived the morning of 7/4...guess what...you were closed and not going to open until Monday. She was heartbroken and had to scramble to find a new dress. You knew she needed it for Saturday 7/5 yet didn't care enough to reach out and let her know you were going to be closed. You owe her a refund of the alteration and reimbursement of her 2nd dress. I have been here twice for prom and both have been a pleasant experience. When you walk in there is quick service and they are very friendly, asking what you need and being sure everything is clear. When dressed, they take their time to make sure the right alterations will be made and also discuss with the customer to make sure it is being done to their wants. On the higher end for service. $72 to hem pants and cuffs in a sport coat. Got pants back and they were too short. I was told it's my fault for approving the length at time of pining. They would not consider in any way that perhaps there was an error after pining. I was told "never in my life have I seen that happen". They wanted to charge me again if I wanted it fixed. My son had a "favorite" flannel Hoodia that had gotten a rip in the elbow of one of the sleeves. I took it here, after looking at the reviews, hoping that they could fix it. The man seemed to have gotten offended when I took a picture of the ticket with the shirt?! I explained that I was just keeping a record of what was dropped off to be fixed. Didn't want to get my dress altered at the bridal shop since we all know they charge an arm and a leg. Shopped around and decided to give these guys a try. I was very happy with the price of the alterations as the bridal shop was going to charge me triple for the same thing. Everyone was very kind and courteous and I can't fault their work. I have been looking for a good Alterations place and I was hoping that this would be the one but, I was sorely mistaken! I took my first group of items in to be altered and hemmed. There were 3 panels (of about 12 ft) curtains and I paid $120 to have it done. I picked them up but, never took them out of the bag (because they were so long) and I needed my handyman to come out and hang up my curtain rod first. Well, I go to hang them up and only 2 panels were done. The third panel had never been touched! So, I took them back in to Red Thread and explained the problem to which the guy behind the counter said, " We only guarantee our work for up to 2 weeks. You'll have to pay the charge again for the one panel if you want it done. I'm sorry". I was not happy at all! I get having to set a time period for warranties, etc. But, not being willing to complete work that I already paid good money for you to do? And to do it right the first time... I will NEVER go back here again! I guess they'd rather lose my business and my family's business over the price of $27 to fix something that they should have done the first time. Alteration places are plentiful, I will drive to somewhere that appreciates my concerns and my business rather than go here because it's close to home. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! You will waste your money and possibly ruin your clothing. I had my designer jeans hemmed here and a month later with only 2 wears and no washing, the hem started to come out! Pictures attached. I figured they would fix it for me no charge as it was clearly POORLY stitched. Nope the owner said work is only guaranteed for 2 weeks and I'd have to pay. I took my pants somewhere else where I was told The Red Thread used the wrong color thread and also they hear of issues with them all the time! Wow. If you only guarantee work for 2 weeks then that shows your work is Crap! Also, not giving good customer service just made you lose a customer and gain some bad reviews online. Before I begin I have to mention this business only accepts cash. Very small business in a quiet shopping center. You would miss it if you weren't paying attention. When I walked In the owner was measuring a gentleman for pants alterations. So if you need to be measured she will do so for you. I knew already what I needed and they were quick to assist. I was given a claim tag and asked when I wanted to pick up my pants. I went back a week after I said I would and in that time I didn't receive a phone call or anything as a reminder. I almost forgot about it. Hemming costed me $9. She didn't have a price for services up so I am unsure of how much anything else would cost. I had to get my lab coat altered bc the length and sleeves were too long. I went to the lady that I usually go to but it was the end of a week day after 5pm. So I yelped and this place popped up and it was only 5 minutes from my house. I saw they were opened and so decided to give it a try. I dropped off my lab coat. The lady that greeted me was very nice. She had me try on the lab coat and measured to where I wanted. Told her a specific date I wanted to pick up and I left. Although I have seen others say cash only, you can actually still pay with a debit or credit card. She mentioned if it's by card, they will charge additional $1.25? The day I came to pick up my lab coat, it was immediately after work and so I didn't have time to stop by the bank. So I paid with my credit card and it was fine. I tried on the lab coat and it was perfect. It alteration was perfect as if I had purchased it like that. I was very happy. I must say... it was quite pricy. Just to hem up the sleeves and to short the lab coat coat me $24 with an additional $1.25. That is more than the lab coat itself since I bought it from amazon. I dropped my daughter's cheer skirt off a Wednesday said must be done by Friday cause she has to compete Saturday evening. They said no problem gave me a ticket stamped pick up after 4 on Friday. Well this came up and I couldn't make it there before they closed at 6 on Friday so I called the male only male that works there also the owner answered the phone. I asked him what time they opened Saturday morning and I told him I wouldn't make it before they closed. So Saturday on the way to get it at 10am I get a call saying ur skirt won't be done till monday. I was upset due to the fact she competes Saturday . So I went and got it and she had to compete in it the way it was. Never did the owner once reach out to me to apologise. The from lady called me and said the owner said he never talked to me. He also fired the lady that day. Which I find very disappointing due to the fact I called him Friday and spoke to him personally and the job still never got done.
