The Red Rooster offers multiple options to section off table locations for birthdays, catering, group parties and the like. If you happen to catch Happy Hour you must leave a credit card at the bar and close out before Happy Hour ends. Note, there is the main bar and a smaller one located near the dance floor. The DJ has the pulse of the crowd, there are give-aways throughout the night and you never know who you are gone to run into from Kandi Eastman and other local celebs. If you came to dance then you will have a good time with multiple dance partners and it is fun to learn new dance moves. As the night progress, the other side of the Red Rooster opens up. I call it the Chicken Hawk Club in tribute to vintage Looney Tune cartoons. You know you have stepped to the other side when you are greeted by blue lights, bass booming and "Eh, artistict dance gyrations". Drink water, have fun and dance like no one is watching!!

First off. I haven't been here in yearssss!!! And it's still giving what needs to be giving. Free parking, $10 entry and $8 Dranks!!! Yes because I was tore up off one drank. Two clubs in one. For the most park I was on the older side. My age has something to do with it, because I can't get with all that young stuff. Makes my head hurt! And I guess it was western night. lol Everyone had on boots and hats! I ain't get the memo but I had a funky good time.

I went on a Wednesday night, which was ladies night and they have drink specials. The daiquiri actually taste like strawberry instead of just red dye so I did enjoy that. I did VIP parking which was $10 and the music starts getting good at 12 AM and then they close at two. If you come before that time, the music is more 90s R&B which I wasn't really feeling but overall it was cool. The crowd was cool and I met another cool girl that was by herself so maybe I'll go back.

I had a great time celebrating my friends birthday and seeing all my lovely people dance together. The seating was accessible and folks seem to be happy.

Good drinks. Nice spot to chill. You can go old school dance floor or to the hip hop side and get your boogie on.

Sit was fun, surprisingly younger people were in here on their own side. It was a lot of older people, but they had their own side.

Nice place. This is a mature crowd, maybe early 30's to 60's. Two separate dance sections and a good mixture of music. I will visit again!!!

Does anyone know the cover charge? The website isn't available. How is parking?

Cover charge is $10.00 and if men have on a baseball cap and shorts, they have to pay an extra $10.00. Parking is free, the lot is large.

We had our boots on the ground with line dancing, old school hits and some new music after 12am.

The main room plays a mix of Spanish music, including Bachata, merengue, cumbias, and reggaeton, with an occasional hip hop track thrown in. The second room seems to stick mostly to reggaeton and hip hop. Live bands rotate every week and play on both Fridays and Saturdays. Both halls feature large bars. There is plenty of seating available if you are purchasing alcohol. If you are not drinking, you cannot sit down for free; you have to pay for a table. The staff is friendly. Drinks run between $8 and $15 for alcoholic options, and water is $4. A notable thing here is that a lot of people come specifically to dance--I saw women coming alone and positioning themselves near the dance floor. The crowd felt like it was generally mid-20s and above. The overall atmosphere with other patrons was friendly and not combative. My one gripe is that the music can be very, very loud. For parking, it's $10 in the back lot and $20 if you park in the front.

I had a Cuba Libre and it tasted bottom shelf spirit as well as the cola itself. First time going and my friends standing at bar were asked to dance several times. Reserve prior if u want a table. Mix of dj and live band who played salsa and merengue mostly. I heard the DJ play salsa, merengue and bachata before live band started. The restroom has several stalls and is kept clean. A lady sitting inside provides the hand towels to dry your hands. Tips appreciated. Valet parking only- $10 behind building and $20 in parking lot. Entrance charge definitely on a Saturday.

For starters, this is located in the "other" midtown away from the trendy restaurants and bars and literally on the other side of the tracks south of Main. What I'm getting at is it's sketchy as hell. If you park on the street there, there is a pretty good chance it'll get broken into since the street lights have mysteriously been knocked out and you have a large homeless and/or druggie population wandering around. We had a large enough crowd that we decided to walk down there the couple of blocks. Getting in is also interesting since they give you the TSA treatment and get the metal detector out and ask you to empty your pockets while mean mugging you if you don't know which way the entrance is. Inside has the classic beatdown downtown warehouse decor but on the plus side, the AC works, the bathrooms are surprisingly clean (which is why I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1), and in its own way is kind of welcoming if you're not into any of the trendy places. It kind of reminds me of how Houston's alternative scene was in the 90's...not sure what the kids call this nowadays. Then there is the music. It wasn't good. The sound system is muffled and the music selection was pop rock style from like 2007-2012 mostly so even though I am older, I can still say it was lame without sounding like that old guy who hates new stuff. I actually WANTED to hear new stuff and not what I would listen to on Pandora 15 years ago, but apparently the younger and alternative crowd seemed to like it. It's kind of like Numbers Night Club for people who don't like wearing black and think of the 2000's as their 80's? I gotta say though, despite having the scary walk and dealing with frowning security and bartenders who act like they're doing you a favor for letting you in, it's a great place for people watching.
