Mavericks Hangar Bar & Grill - Nachos with brisket

Mavericks Hangar Bar & Grill

Happy hour is a deal and the food was delicious. I cannot say enough about the fabulous crab cake BLT wrap! It's grilled and very fresh with little or no filler with no shell! A real home run! We will definitely be back for the friendly service and excellent food! This is a real find on the beach!

First time here and... ngl, didn't quite live up to the hype…read more We all got the Mavericks burger--supposedly topped with brisket? Yeah... it was a thin slicer under the burger. Patty was undercooked (I like pink, but not raw) and totally unseasoned. Flop. Somehow the bun stole the show. Kettle chips were meh, tots were straight-up frozen vibes (should've gone loaded). Drinks were hit or miss--Old Fashioned was rather sweet, and the "Ice Man's Chill" had zero fizz. Definitely more bar than restaurant--no hostess, a little figure-it-out-yourself--but all good. We had our two teens and never felt out of place. Live music was loud loud... like can't-hear-your-own-table loud. Maybe I'm just old. Outside was packed--one-sided picnic bench life. Not ideal, but manageable. Clean spot and service was solid once we got going. We'll give it another shot--I want to give this place more stars next time. Pizza looked legit (thin, crispy) and smoked wings have potential. Maybe happy hour is the move. We're new to the area and love supporting local places.

Wynfields Sports Bar - Pool tables and bar area

Some friends and I came to see the Iron Maidens at Wynfields back on October 20th, 2022. Tickets…read morewere about $30, which is great for a great band if their stature. Even though we arrived early, the line to get in was wrapped around the building. Wynfield's looks unassuming from the outside yet its surprisingly large once you enter. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff did a great job keeping up with the masses. The bar area is huge and takes up a lot of space, but I don't wish it gone; if I was a local here, I would say it's iconic to the venue and evokes a sense of nostalgia to the staff and their customers. There is a decent sized dancefloor in front of the main stage however the stage is not high enough for everyone in the back to get a good view of the band. The overall sound here was pretty good; however, the lighting was horrible. I probably took 200 photos and maybe 25 of them came out great. What's up with the green, red, and blue lighting for the entire show??? Please add some white lighting in there so we can see what the hell is going on. Oh yeah, and the smoke machines only enhance the poor lighting situation so, please keep the smoke down to a few songs, thank you! All-in-all, the two bands, Whiplash (Metallica Tribute) and the Iron Maidens really killed it on this night. Wynfield's is just small enough that we had a chance to meet with the musicians after the show for a photo op, Love this! Although I don't make it to Satellite Beach often, when I do, I look forward to checking out Wynfield's again.

Some rude woman by the door screaming profanities towards the crowd to move was just the icing on the cake. Definitely won't go back. They even spelled Mike Tramps name wrong on the Marquee ! Lmao

And then it went downhill from there. I had the fish sandwich. Dry dry dry. And the fries it came with were cold. So not great. The wife had the fish burrito. She reports it as being lacking seasoning to point of bland. That was cold too. Service was fair, but to be fair to them, they were short handed. They took care of us for sure, but meh. Overall not great. Definitely go for the fish tacos. Sorry fans, we were disappointed.

Ordered the wings plain with side of suicide sauce which was just an average mild buffalo sauce. Added their 2 hot sauces to kick it up a notch but weren't too spicy themselves. Wings were great otherwise and you can't beat that deal. Got me full and satisfied. Heard they will charge you full price if you take it to-go so it seems like a dine-in only deal They have great specials on hurricane drinks also and they have a few different varieties which was cool to see. There's other specials every weekday so I'm sure it brings out a crowd The bartender Jess was great but quite busy working the bar solo and feeling bad for her while hearing people complain about the wait. They have dedicated decor of the University of Miami all over

She took one look and said he wasn't going inside. She didn't ask if he was a service dog. She didn't ask if he is trained or what is he trained to do. So I explained he is a service dog. So we came inside and a good vibe young man told us we can sit anywhere. It was a while before a very young man, a child, came to ask us what we'd like to drink. The manager delivered our iced teas. She asked what we wanted to eat and when I said I'd like the NY Strip medium and could I have a little horseradish sauce on the side she abruptly shut that down. She could have said she could check to see if there was some left over from yesterday. So I asked if maybe there was some left over. She said she'd look but I started feeling nausea about the whole thing and suddenly wasn't so hungry. Her vibe sent daggers in my heart. It seemed to us that she was really pissed off about my service dog, and she visibly treated us harshly compared to the couple that was sitting a few tables away from us. Thankfully, Alli started taking care of us and her beautiful energy was a lot more relaxing. We were able to finish our meal on a good note and even have a little caramel cheesecake. In three years, this is only the second manager that was immediately and unnecessarily negative about my service dog. He has gone to every restaurant and everywhere I go when I leave the house. I still don't understand why so many managers or servers don't understand the ADA guidelines for how to treat people with service animals. Every manager should be required to read the ADA guidelines. They don't realize the impact they have on people who are already vulnerable.
