When hosting a birthday party, this was exactly the kind of place I had in mind for it. It will easily hold 100 people, but with a crowed of 25, it won't feel too big. The price was on par with the price of other venues in the area, and much less expensive than the ones down the road in DeSoto County and Oxford. The Venue provides tables and chairs and a few other things like pedestals. They have a small kitchen with a tiny sink, a warming oven and microwave, and a full size refrigerator. There's also a small bathroom off the kitchen/storage area. The floors are trendy vinyl plank and the walls are creamy white. The decor really fits any event you'd want to host. If you're hosting an event - be it a birthday party, shower, reunion, or even a small wedding reception - definitely go check out The Venue! It's quite perfect for any occasion!

I am not sure if was the chickens that greeted me, the beautiful gallery, or the hospitality of Vivian and Walter Neill that made me never want to leave. Vivian worked tirelessly with us to orchestrate the shower, which was much needed since we were planning from our homes in Minnesota, Massachusetts and Maine. She was a source book of knowledge and wealth of support. The day of the event, Walter and Vivian could not have been more helpful. Our guests were astounded by the venue, all who came commented upon the uniqueness. I would highly recommend OTH as a venue for special events.

We chose one for a bridesmaid with a newborn to be able to stay with her family, and the other as a place for my florist/director to stay. The only thing that could be better would be for that last spot to have rooms instead of one large open area. The grounds have several options for your perfect wedding spot. We chose outside of the main building overlooking a lake. Chairs were included. The rehearsal dinner was inside the barn area, which was quickly cleaned up to begin decorating for the reception. The tables and tablecloths were included. The kitchen was a good size and ice was provided. Indoor bathrooms were clean. To top it all off, the owners were fantastic. They helped cart guests from their cars to the main area. They checked in often to make sure we were okay. They followed up to make sure we didn't have any questions. They allowed us time to clean up on Sunday around our church time. We could even stay the night Saturday night. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The Wild West themed town across the street was a little country for me, but it proved a fun setting for guests to relax and the "saloon". 10 out of 10! We even rented tuxes from their other businesses and received a discount. We were able to leave the suits at the site and not have the hassle of returning them the next week.

From day one their professionalism and attention to detail put me at ease. I saw the plans but never dreamed that they would create a space that has so much opportunity and has such attention to detail. Upon first viewing the property and architecture are organic but the design possibilities are endless. Your event can be as rustic or elegant as you can imagine. The spaces are open and not over decorated allowing the event designer to create based on the client's personal style. The lighting is elegant yet intimate. There's plenty of power to bring in sound and lighting to create the desired ambience. The buildings are large with tall ceilings so we kept acoustics in mind as we designed the event. There's a commercial kitchen in Grey Manor and a catering kitchen in The Grand Hall and even a full "home" kitchen in the cabins. Our caterer used the kitchens and set up a tent, as well. Everything moved to perfection. It's not a commercial building in an urban setting but there are parking options and Mark was a huge help in thinking through the logistics. More than anything it's the perfect place for meetings, reunions, social gatherings and especially to make memories. Adequate restrooms available in each building, and dressing/prep rooms in central building. Great working air conditioning in all buildings in spite of sweltering heat. Area available for outdoor weddings within steps of buildings in case it rains, which it did! Clean facilities and grounds throughout. Driving from Michigan, Tennessee and South Carolina, we weren't disappointed and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.
