However, hula is so beautiful and relaxing that I got caught up in the entire dance and cultural experience. I now cannot imagine not dancing hula and have learned from the best. I had taken a Hawaiian dance class previous to moving to FL while living in Los Angeles and by far, Kumu Chrissy is the best; truly a gifted teacher. I doubt there are few of her skill level outside of Hawai'i. She truly enjoys what she does and it shows in her dedication to her students. And it's a lot of fun. The group of dancers (that has grown from a dozen to around 80) have become a second family as we perform at shows and competitions.
