The service here was so friendly. They had no issue with our special orders. The dining area was spacious with a wonderful view of the mountain range. Also, if you are staying at the sister property, The Ranch, they will allow you to charge the meal to your room. A fun note: the way to get from the parking lot to the dining room is to access their tunnel walk that leads to the elevator. A fun adventure for kids and adults.

I actually was waited on by the owner a lovely gentleman and once again the food was excellent, and I have to say that the Bishop based brewery that provided the IPA was excellent. Although I was one of very few women present in the restaurant I did not feel uncomfortable, dining, solo and thoroughly enjoyed my evening thanks to the gentleman of the Panamint Springs restaurant for taking good care of me.

The baked fish (haddock?) was good, I had seconds of that. I'm a big potato lover and they had fresh mashed red potatoes which I ate a lot of. They were also serving roast behind the meat counter so I got a slice along with some gravy. Not bad at all. The food is itself was actually cooked well and tasted decent though a bit heavy on salt. Like I said earlier, I'd take stars off for limited selection and price but the food is not bad. Also if you have ever dined at other national parks, this is better than what you'll find at a place like Yellowstone.
