Not a fan. Expensive burger came with a small sliver of onion and the bottom (heal) of the tomato.

The restaurant was nearly full when we arrived but no one was taking advantage of the outdoor seating. The menu and prices are what you would expect from a typical American-style diner. The desserts, though, are several cuts above. It was already 2pm when we arrived (the restaurant closes at 3pm) and I was surprised to see that there were still desserts available, as they were sold out on every one of my previous visits. I've always wanted to try one of their pies. Unfortunately, the only pies left were whole pies and, though I was sorely tempted, I knew that I would end up eating the whole pie at one sitting. Instead, I ordered the peach blackberry coffee cake. Wow! I don't know who's doing their baking for them, but their talents are being wasted in Lone Pine. That coffee cake in an L.A. restaurant would be featured in Eater LA at a minimum.

But really, they have wraps to go if you need a quick bite. The food isn't anything to write home about - the real star of the show is Jess. She will make you feel welcomed, as if you're a regular. She has the perfect personality to keep the ambiance at the restaurant high energy and fun. Should she ever leave this place, the ratings would likely be closer to a 2-3 star.

Back then we nicknamed it 'the M & M store' because we were always treated to M & M's. There were inexpensive toys for purchase that we always looked forward to getting during our shopping excursions to help us pass the time. Neighbors relied on this store to get fresh milk and produce and it was a lifesaver as my Grandparents only went to Vegas once a month to shop at a full size grocery store. Over the years I continued to return to this store as an adult when I'd visit the Amargosa, and after my Grandparents died I would visit with Marta Becket in DVJ and get my supplies here. Sunny is a delight and it's been so heartwarming to see this formerly very rough little store turn into a very inviting shop & restaurant. I don't know when it first opened under the original ownership but the fact that it's remained a vital Amargosa Valley market these past 54 years for me is precious. Thank you Martell's for being a constant treasure in my life.

We love to stop at different little coffee spots and were pleasantly surprised with Vibras. They have a large coffee sign outside which is how we knew they serve coffee in addition to fresh juices. They also had a very small selection of muffins on the counter. Iris ( I apologize if I got her name wrong) was very welcoming and took our order as soon as we got in. We ordered a drip coffee an oatmilk latte. She gave us the drip coffee immediately, which was nice. The coffee was rich and very tasty (not bitter or flavored). You should know though they do not have a public restroom, which is somewhat of a draw back when you are serving hot and cold beverages and want to attract travelers. I still gave them five stars for their coffee and service. I think that possible they are more of a juice bar, but we were very happy with the caffeine fix.

It took us so long to get our food that we had to completely change our plans for the day! However the acai bowls are great and so are the teas. They were out of a ton of syrups though when we went as well so I think they need to do a better job of stocking their stuff and manning their area with people to service the customers. We would have come again and again if the place could keep up. Another morning I got a couple juices that were delicious.

There is a small gift shop with lots of sundry stuff. We have been regulars when we are traveling up and down the 395 which happens a couple times a month. I always appreciate hospitality service workers and make it a point to be friendly and appreciative to everyone. It's just so darn difficult here. I mean for the last 6 years this has been a regular spot and nothing really seems to change. The ladies here just don't seem to enjoy their jobs. During our last visit we needed to use the restrooms and they were very unclean. My brain always connects dirty bathrooms to probably dirty kitchens. I never like to give poor reviews and give regular spots multiple tries. We just can't do it anymore. There is a coffee shop and juice bar across the street we will be trying on our next trip.

We come through Lone Pine at least 1x/year and I just tried this bistro and enjoyed it so much. The ladies working there (family owned) are amazing and so friendly and welcoming. It was so nice chatting with them while placing and waiting for my order. I am picky on coffee, but it was delicious and perfect. A MUST to visit.
