My six year old just argued with her dad over the last bite of bison pot pie. Kid was willing to do battle over a morsel of meat and crust. So yep, I think the food here is worth recommending. My husband's main came 20+ minutes after the other two mains, but I'm so impressed with this place that I'll let it slide and get the 5-star review in. The food earns it. Nice chill atmosphere, and the bartender/main server was honestly doing the best anyone could ask for. Fish and chips were divine and the shore lunch (with Arctic char) was so light and delicious. Get the salad with the "gravy" dressing (it's a savoury vinaigrette with nutritional yeast).

I can't have a trip to Canada unless I visit a Tim Hortons at least once. I returned to this Tim's…read moreduring my first morning in Whitehorse a few weeks ago. I would be heading out the the Canol Trail (MP 222) later that morning. Tim's now has a nice selection of breakfast sandwiches of which I enjoyed the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. I took a seat inside and enjoyed my breakfast by the window, while watching the drive through traffic go by. I do agree with a couple of my Canadian friends that the quality and taste of Tim Hortons coffee has seen better days. My coffee black choice brought back Iowa childhood memories of less than robust Folgers in the morning.

One of the best Tim's experiences ever. The maple creame was tasty, the coffee was exact and they…read moreactually got the chili right. On target specs on all the foodstuffs. The counter folks were really fast.... and friendly. The place has a a lot of parking. That's good because they were jamming. We landed on an afternoon rush. Didn't matter. The kids were up to the challenge. The cool part for me was meeting Dave, or so he says. Dave eats at the Second Ave Tim's almost every day. A grey-haired dude in his late sixties, maybe seventy. He bought us a round as we were treated to his testimony. You see Dave is U.S. citizen living in the Yukon. He came here over fifty years ago...yep...to avoid the draft and potentially fighting in Vietnam. Dave just never went back home. He has no family there and is afraid of being arrested for draft evasion. I could have told him that President Carter offered pardons to all the evaders in 1977, somehow he seemed to enjoy being on the lamb, why ruin it? 08/22

More like 3.5 stars. Lovely back patio, great selection of baked goods (including some vegan and…read moregluten conscious options). The breads are lovely but not cheap. As not a fan of $0.75 extra for oat or soy milk in lattes. Therefore I didn't try any lattes or 'milk' based drinks. They tried to serve us the pesto cheese bread bun and tofu pizza cold and we had to ask to have it heated up. Service is friendly but a bit slow. We came at 10am on a Saturday but I wouldn't be surprised if this place has bigger lines/and a wait as it gets busier.

Everything is freshly baked in brick oven so imagine the freshness and taste. For sure its not regular grocery store so prices are little on higher end. Not too too expensive though. I tried pumpkin spice latte which is very creamy and flavourful , a person next to my table was raving all about the yellow spice turmeric latte. Apple strudel i had just melted in my mouth and i am guessing that their all time famous is onion, rosemary, walnut bun as not only me but almost every other person bought it. They also have customized chocolates with engraving of thank you and happy birthday. Staff is very pleasing and helpful. You can use wifi and sit inside or outside on their patio which is like litle garden with benches to sit and eat. Clean bathroom. Baskets and dairy to purchase too. Homemade yogurt, dips and spreads can be purchased from here.
