tomer Service Shout Out to Jean, Johnny, and Doreen of the Radnor Hotel in Saint Davids, Pennsylvania. On May 8, 2026, my husband and I had lodgings for an overnight stay after attending a family wedding. Our accommodation was clean, noise level was quiet, and hotel was clean and modern. The restaurant housed the after-wedding party which consisted of french fries, chicken tenders, various egg rolls, and dessert; all of which was very good. I would recommend staying here based on the above, but the outstanding customer service support raised it to another level. Here's my story. We live in New Jersey, roughly 2 1/2 hours away. At approximately 2:30 in the afternoon my husband received a call from the hotel telling him I had left my pocketbook in the safe. Anyone who has done this before knows the sinking feeling of leaving behind a wallet filled with credit cards, driver's license, medical insurance cards, and cash. Since it was a Saturday, hotel management agreed to send it overnight via FedEx on Monday; I was asked to call to confirm delivery. On Monday I spoke with Jean (at the front desk) and explained the reason for my call. I informed her that I hadn't verified the contents of my pocketbook and asked if she could do this before shipment. Once Jean located the package whereabouts, she had to ensure the front desk had coverage. She retrieved the package which had been prepared for mailing, unsealed it and confirmed its contents. Jean then informed me it would be driven to the FedEx office for shipment. Thank you Jean for staying positive and patient with me. Later that day, I missed a call from the manager, Johnny. His voice mail said that our credit card was declined (human error) and asked that I provide another. His message also gave detailed shipment options and costs. Johnny returned to the hotel. I called back shortly after with another credit card. The package was driven back again, and the credit card transaction was approved. In speaking with Johnny, I asked who found my pocketbook as I wanted to thank the individual. He informed me that it is hotel protocol to have a manager check the vacated rooms to see if guests have left any personal belongings behind. The manager's name is Doreen; however, we never had the pleasure of a conversation. Thank you Johnny for your persistence in getting my pocketbook to me. Thank you Doreen for your honesty and ensuring my pocketbook was turned in to hotel management. To conclude, I applaud the honesty, willingness to assist, and patience of Doreen, Jean, and Johnny. I hope the home office, which I will contact, will take note of their commitment to providing the Radnor Hotel's guests with outstanding service and to a very happy ending to what could have been a sad story. I coordinate travel for one of my company's executives which included a stay at The Radnor Hotel with direct billing to my corporate credit card. My executive complimented everything that I handled, including the hotel stay! I was most impressed with the hotel's efficiency in handling the direct billing request. And I was more impressed when they automatically sent me a copy of my executive's folio charges that were charged to my card. So I did not have to call to request a copy! The Radnor Hotel is consistently & reliably excellent - comfortable, quiet, and clean, with very kind staff and rooms that are both comfortable and clean - every time you stay here. You have endless excellent food choices: the Tripe Crown on premise or Fleming's Prime Steakhouse next door are my favorites. I walked over to Smashburger one night which is pretty much across the street. I love that complimentary tea and coffee, ready and 6am, in their snack area with vending machines and pretty much any misc. item you may need. The hotel located quite close to many colleges including Villanova University where my son is a student. The location is ideal: right off Route 476 at Lancaster Avenue. That proximity matters when you are driving around that area which has a bizarre amount of traffic. I enjoy getting to and from wherever I am going quickly & with ease. I can even walk to Villanova, a quick 20 min (1 mile) - which matters during graduation, family weekend etc. when parking is challenging. Since my son started Nova in the Fall of '23, I have only stayed at this hotel and I will continue to do so until he graduates a year from now. read more

Stayed here for a wedding recently. Very clean, spacious rooms. My first positive experience happened when I called the hotel because I had made the reservation for the wrong night, 1 day off. The woman who answered was so nice and changed my accommodation to what I needed right away, since they had the availability. My second positive experience was talking with the front desk. Greeted with smiles, I asked the man working at 8:00 am if I could park my car on the lot and head to the wedding venue even though my check in time wasn't until 3pm. He promptly printed out my reservation and let me write down my car details so that I could park with no issues. Very good customer service all around. Everyone was extremely helpful. I stayed to recuperate a few days after surgery before getting a ride 3 hours home. Being disabled, the little things add up. Reservations were a breeze. They helped get me situated in my room, brought me water & filled my ice bucket. I asked not to have housekeeping disturbing me (a lot of hotels ignore this request, even with a DND placard) & they didn't. They had the little bottles of shampoo/conditioner so I could place it where it was convenient for me to reach. The little market was very handy. And they helped me with my luggage when I left. Terrible ! I have stayed at the hotel multiple times over multiple years, and this was the absolute worst. Late at night I spied a mouse in my room. The front desk found me another room but was not at all concerned, and I was charged for the full night at the full rate. Radnor Hotel should clean up their act and their rooms. read more

If you like tiny European hotel rooms, this is the place for you. For once, I decided just to get just the standard king and they put us in the basement in a tiny room with a bathroom that I couldn't fit in and I'm only 5 foot six. Tall people stay away or pay more to upgrade to a big room. read more

I visited Villanova last month and spent about 24 hours in town, most of them at the Radnor Hotel. I'd had grand plans to spend the week on the East Coast, taking the kids and seeing old friends. Instead, I got a redeye, one (very cool) day of work, and a return flight on Spirit Airlines. The university offered to cover two nights at the Radnor, but I wanted to spend as little time as possible away from my nursing baby, and asked instead if I could get guaranteed early check-in. The staff was pleasant, and I was happy to have a room waiting for me when I checked in at 8:30 on a Tuesday morning. I slept for five hours, then wandered to the hotel restaurant, Glenmorgan Bar & Grill, for a solid late lunch. I left the hotel for a class, a reading, and dinner, but was otherwise holed up in my room, resting or sleeping. It was a decent room. The bedding felt a bit thin and warm and I couldn't quite figure out the temperature control, but overall, clean and comfortable enough. I certainly had no trouble sleeping. If you're in need of a business hotel in suburban Philadelphia, the Radnor Hotel might get the job done. As much as I missed my hungry baby in the middle of the night, I was happy for the quiet accommodations. read more

I can't tell you how much the Radnor Hotel guys helped me out. I landed in BWI after midnight. I had forgot to make a hotel reservation for Monday night. I called and stopped in to no less than 10 other hotels trying to get a room for the night. I had a big meeting starting at 1:00pm on Tuesday . I really thought I was going to be sleeping in the car. I called the Radnor Hotel, as I had a reservation booked there for Tuesday night and though by some chance they might let me check in early. The associate who answered the phone was quite capable and knowledgeable and said they would gladly allow me to check in early for my reservation the next day. I finally made it to the hotel at 4:30am (Tuesday morning) and was greeted by a different, very knowledgeable associate who was aware of my situation, and promptly checked me in. I'm a Hilton diamond member and have been for 20 years. However, after midnight, your chances of 'getting a favor' go down dramatically. The night operators are typically just watching the desk, and somehow there always out of rooms after midnight. If you get routed to the reservation line, it will book you for the next day. I was impressed that the night associated was well dressed (I think he may have had a tie on), but mainly that they were attentive to my situation. The Radnor Hotel is visually beautiful. I just had a two night stay there and the staff could not be more helpful, kind, and attentive. They greeted me as soon as i walked in, efficiently got me registered and even gave me ideas on where to eat after my long day of travel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The ameneties perfectly met my needs. I had the pleasure of eating at the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Again, the service was impeccable and efficient. Wonderful stay at the Radnor Hotel! I attended a work event, 12/15/25. I was pleased from the moment I stepped out of my car. The parking lot is very well lit. The outside décor was festive. The staff greeted me with smiles and cordial assistance. The room left nothing to be desired and bonus points for sustainable messages about reducing waste and energy. My favorite time of my stay was the event I attended. Since my last visit, the interior décor of the room had been updated luxuriously in the colors, fixtures, and the painted ceiling medallions - so beautiful. The bartenders and staff were professional and polite. My favorite part about my favorite part was the Food! The turkey breast with homemade cranberry relish, the prime rib sliced and still rare and juicy so well-seasoned, and bonus points for perfectly cooked 6oz portions of salmon with the skin. The piece de resistance was the Willy Wonka-esque edible dark chocolate teacups filled with chocolate mousse. I would drive the hour-15min anytime for such a pleasurable experience. read more

Great service, quiet, great mattresses, and everything works. You can tell this place hasn't been steamrolled by the big corporate giants. I thought I left something in the room, and they immediately checked. It is that extra effort you don't see anymore. The breakfast buffet was quite good, and they actually have staff available to help should you require it. In a world where companies are cutting on staff, the Radnor has doubled down on friend folks. The workout room could use exercise mats, but it has everything else. read more

I have been traveling to this area on business for 6 years and have stayed at all hotels in the area. The Radnor is the best. It is always very clean, even during renovations, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping cleans the room daily, whereas other hotels never returned to that after COVID. The restaurant is being renovated but it is also very convenient to have a good restaurant onsite. read more

We recently used this hotel for my daughter's wedding. We had about 40 people book rooms for the event which was also held in the affiliated Triple Crown space. The hotel is clean and well maintained, hotel employees are friendly & helpful and once the restaurant renovations are completed will offer 5 star food! After reading some of the reviews on Yelp, I was a little hesitant to book here. But, I had an event in Radnor and this hotel was close. The price wan't too bad ($119 + tax). I was only there for one night, so I decided to give it a chance. All-in-all, I had a good experience. The front desk staff weren't overly welcoming, but they weren't rude either. The room was spacious and comfortable. It seemed updated, except for the AC (it was warm when I arrived - had to change the fan speed on the under-the-window unit). It was clean. Looking at the pictures in the lobby, it seemed like the hotel has been visited by celebrities and dignitaries in the past. The only negative is that the property, in general, seems a little worn down. The hallway carpets are way dirty. It smells musty as you walk up the stairs and into the hallways. As I said, though, the room was clean and worked out well. I'd stay again. It's in a great location, close to lots of things. The price is right. Any higher, though, and I'd probably choose somewhere else. read more

We recently stayed here because an AirBNB unit I booked turned out to be a nightmare! When I called the Radnor Hotel about the issue and asking about availability, they immediately assisted and reserved a room for our use. They also applied a military discount to the fee (we are veterans) I had booked an AirBNB for a medical appointment scheduled for Monday morning and I wanted to cook a nice dinner and breakfast as cooking helps me to relax. Instead I had to scramble to find a place to stay. Upon entering the Radnor Hotel, my anxiety and anger lessened. It is lovely, bright, clean with all amenities you want in a hotel. The desk attendant was understanding, attentive and so helpful. Our room was fresh and clean. The bed was comfy and inviting. We enjoyed watching some tv before retiring for the night. There was a limited continental breakfast (restaurant under construction) - all we needed to get our morning started. The staff continued with their attentiveness and friendliness through check-out, even recommending local eateries for brunch. We chose First Watch and it was a great recommendation-try the Morning Meditation drink. I do expect to return to the area for further medical appointments. But this week at my wife's urging we stayed at the Radner Hotel and I loved it. Super friendly staff with very nice updates rooms. The morning brunch buffet is great and the staff was awesome. made a reservation in february of 2024 for handicap room for may 3/ have done before over last thirty years with no problems for 60 th reunion. we arrived and discovered no bar or food available until june and then they lied to us and said thay sent information = the deluxe room was the farthest away from the front door. no couch or chair, king bed and the view was the trash bin and the rug was frayed and not room cleaning.we were not the only one lied to. why would anyone pay deluxe prices for a supposedly deluxe hotde with no bar or food? a total rip off read more

The hotel is very dated. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room was clean and beds are comfortable - but everything is very dated and not worth the crazy rate of $549 they charged during graduation weekend, especially given restaurant was closed for renovation. They did have coffee, tea, yogurts, cellophane wrapped muffins and granola bars - you know like a Holiday Inn Express were you pay $129 a night - not $549. To me it's like a 3.5-4 star. It's super expensive for the Sunday brunch and even more so for the brunch in any holiday. That said. There is no shortage of foods for all types of eaters. I personally don't even look at breakfast foods on the Buffet. Seems that's where the cheap foods are. Who wants to eat eggs and waffles when you can eat cocktail shrimp roast beef etc The breakfast options are plentiful Cook to order omelette, bacon sausage home fries. This crew went above and beyond during theses covid times. Although , the Hotel was not packed with visitors and they could have a more dismal look on life all of this team from the front desk , restaurant and cleaning all were professional, helpful, and had great attitude. Great venue for luncheon/banquet event. We worked with event sales manager Janine to coordinate a lovely memorial luncheon in less than one week. She was very accommodating as we had many more guests attending than originally anticipated. The food was amazing and the room was clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful as guests continued to arrive. The entire team were extremely patient, kind, courteous, and an absolute pleasure to work with throughout a difficult time for my family. Even the talented kitchen staff members were friendly, always smiling, and they created a delicious lunch and with impeccable service. The salmon, chicken marsala, salads, and desserts were fantastic! I'm so very grateful for everything, and I would definitely recommend the Radnor Hotel for future events. read more
