Quiet Zone Naugatuck. My son took his car for emissions and the muffler was hanging. He needed a new hanger. They said he needed a whole new exhaust as it was all "rotted". I put a new hanger on for 20 bucks and that was 3 years ago. Still running that exhaust. Told me I needed a rubber brake line replaced on the back of my car. Estimate was 800 dollars. I bought the part for 20 dollars and did it myself. I know they need to add labor, but it took me less than one hour. Gave me a quote for a muffler and a couple pipes of 1200 dollars. Parts cost me 140 and I just did it myself. Estimate to replace two shocks, 650 dollars. They are just shocks, not struts inside of coil springs. Prices are insane. Any time I get a quote from them I bring it down the road and the other local shop has a good laugh. Other shop down the road is always MUCH less if I want them to do the work. Just beware. They will also tell you that they will "try" and get the cost down by doing this or that, but it never happens. read more

This place got me in and out quick and the men are the biggest part, I want to shout out those men for not treating a woman different or dumb. Thank you men!! They will charge you for things that you never agreed to have done. They will recommend repairs of items that have no deficiencies. Story: I replaced just about every component on the front end (tie rods, ball joints, control arms, etc...) and everything was nice and tight and clean. I send my elderly mother down here to have it aligned. They said that it had play in the steering and needed new tie rods. Total bullxxx. They were brand new and tight. I told my mom to leave. They charged her $82 for a inspection that she never agreed to. She just asked for an alignment which they wouldn't do. I sent her to a top notch shop they inspected everything and found no deficiencies and promptly aligned the front end and she was on her way. By the way I am an experienced mechanic myself with too much training to list here. So there you have it don't send your loved ones here expecting a fair deal read more

Took my car in to have the brakes done, I knew they were bad and it would cost a lot. The Tech inspected everything and told me of everything and the the transmission leak was a major issue that the car was not worth fixing, again I knew there was a leak. he said the brakes would be around $1400 because I needed both front calibers, I said ok because of it being a safety issue. he said he would try to find cheaper parts and get the price down and I said thank you to that. So I get the call when its done and its over $1500. Didn't try real hard to bring down the cost. Last time going to this place. No integrity! read more

I made an appt. for an oil change and rear brakes. I took my car to get the oil change and brakes replaced they asked I leave it. So I did asking several times it'll be ready by end of day right? So I called once thru out the day as to not bother them and I am reassured everything is going well. Then comes 4pm I get a call that I need rear brakes (this we knew not News to me) but that they would be unable to complete the job till tmrw (so I'm out of having a car another day but I'm reassured it will be done by 10am) and they can actually drop the car off to me. That's awesome. I'm not so upset at this point. Ok. They then proceeded to give me a list of things wrong with my car. Okay great. I just need the brakes done and etc...and the brakes still weren't done. I called the next morning and now it is we won't be able to drop the car off till end of day. Well is my car ready?? No. My car was there for well over 24 hours for an oil change and rear brakes. It cost me over $700 for this. And my brakes ended up not working right about a month later. This place is a rip. Poor customer service. And pushy with products and services. read more

Scheduling an appointment is extremely easy online. I scheduled an oil change and they went above and beyond. I received a phone call about the status of my car and what it's current needs were. As a woman, I'm a little nervous about getting taken advantage of - being told I need some repair that isn't required or being charged an absurd amount. That wasn't the case here. Frankie (I think that was his name), was very informative and easy to speak to. He removed a metal piece from the bottom of my car that had been hanging at no charge and installed a new light bulb for my license plate which I didn't know was required by law. He also let me know that my air filter was beyond disgusting, concerned about my child breathing in bad air quality. (noticed the car seat). My transmission fluid needed to be replaced, which I knew before. I told him I planned on selling the car in a month or so and he was honest that it wasn't necessary instead of trying to push for it. Overall, definitely recommend and plan on coming back in the future. read more

Brought my car in for a code ended up being I needed a new catalytic converter. Also needed new battery terminals. They also informed me about my brakes although I knew they needed to be done as well as tire rods and power steering rack. I told them I had limited funds and weren't pushy about it. Just telling me I have time but should get it done soon. I planned on staying there until it was completed because I didn't have a ride home. They offered to bring me home and back to the shop. Totally appreciated that. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more
