Alex, the mechanic, told me that he could change them first thing in the morning. I came back the next day and dropped my car off. Alex offered to drive me home, which was very nice of him, but I didn't need a ride. He texted me after he changed the headlights and told me that my break pads needed to be replaced. It's winter and I don't want bad breaks, so I had him replace them instead of taking my car to the Mercedes dealership. I dropped my car off for headlights and picked it up with new headlights, new break pads, my rims detailed and he filled my tires because the tire pressure warning was on. While I'm a bit indifferent about the gas station itself, I can't say enough about how much I like Alex in the repair shop. He was way cheaper than the dealership and I love supporting small businesses.

I finally took initiative because I had my kid in the car and just put it in the drive and drove out some sweet bystander was guiding us out and asking us if we're OK because she said one of her friends was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance because her car flipped around inside the car wash and it crashed it on her. Twice I came in and the older attendant guy was wearing a suit, and the last time I came in to cash in my scratch off tix and the younger guy congratulated me. now that's class. On top of all that, this place has a clearance section! Now, I know what you're thinking, but the clearance section is full of some damn good deals. I got a one pound bag of buffalo wing flavored sunflower seeds (not for me) for 55 cents! I mean, I'm no economic expert, but I'm sure that price is way below the actual market value.

The process went smoothly, and I appreciated the excellent customer service during the membership setup. At the time, Costco was running a promotion where opening auto-renewal would qualify me for a $50 Shop Card. I received the card by email about a week later and decided to use it during my first grocery purchase. Unfortunately, my checkout experience was disappointing. I wasn't aware that the Shop Card needed to be scanned before applying it to the transaction. When I tried to use it, the cashier seemed frustrated and commented that he would need to void the transaction and wait for a manager. Another associate grabbed my cart and started putting items onto the conveyor belt quickly, and I wasn't sure which items I should leave in the cart. While I had a great experience setting up my membership, my first grocery shopping experience at Costco was not what I expected. I hope the checkout process can be handled with more patience and better communication, especially for new members who may not be familiar with how everything works.
