Alex, the mechanic, told me that he could change them first thing in the morning. I came back the next day and dropped my car off. Alex offered to drive me home, which was very nice of him, but I didn't need a ride. He texted me after he changed the headlights and told me that my break pads needed to be replaced. It's winter and I don't want bad breaks, so I had him replace them instead of taking my car to the Mercedes dealership. I dropped my car off for headlights and picked it up with new headlights, new break pads, my rims detailed and he filled my tires because the tire pressure warning was on. While I'm a bit indifferent about the gas station itself, I can't say enough about how much I like Alex in the repair shop. He was way cheaper than the dealership and I love supporting small businesses.

Our car started going sideways. It wouldn't let us out.. I finally took initiative because I had my kid in the car and just put it in the drive and drove out some sweet bystander was guiding us out and asking us if we're OK because she said one of her friends was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance because her car flipped around inside the car wash and it crashed it on her. Twice I came in and the older attendant guy was wearing a suit, and the last time I came in to cash in my scratch off tix and the younger guy congratulated me. now that's class. On top of all that, this place has a clearance section! Now, I know what you're thinking, but the clearance section is full of some damn good deals. I got a one pound bag of buffalo wing flavored sunflower seeds (not for me) for 55 cents! I mean, I'm no economic expert, but I'm sure that price is way below the actual market value.

This is my neighborhood Costco. It can get pretty crowded so we try to go on off hours and if we must go on a weekend, we try to go really early. On time we went during the morning executive hours, before it was open to the public/other "tiers" and you bet my husband raved about this perk throughout our shopping experience. Anyway, he likes going more than me, and we (he) have a system of perusing the aisles in a certain order. When we come, we somehow end up doing bigger than anticipated hauls... a bag of frozen dumplings here, a box of thinly sliced frozen lamb for hotpot, a box of pears, a box of tomatoes. Their bagged salad is a favorite item, and we get all our booze from Costco. I can't skip over mentioning their food court, where you can get huge slices of pizza, a hotdog and a drink, and other items like a turkey pesto sandwich that I really like. The Costco shopping experience here is a shiny 4 stars!
