Very honest, dependable and affordable! I was on my way from Oregon to LA and my car window suddenly wouldn't roll up when I was getting gas in Sacramento. An auto shop there told me it was the window motor. When I got to LA, I found LA Power Window and called them up. Lloyd ordered the window motor (my car is an old Saturn so no one keeps those parts handy) and he came a few days later to install it. Once he got the door apart, he could see it wasn't the motor at all but the switch that was defective. He put in another order and made another appointment to come back out. He was here right on time and got the switch taken care of quickly. It was a pleasure to work with Lloyd. Super friendly and I loved that he offers at home repair service. Highly recommend calling him before going anywhere else! read more

I was quite impressed with Ron from LA Power Windows. Not only was he on time as scheduled, he was fast! Ron assessed the problem (bad regulator), replaced it, cleaned up after himself, and was finished within 1 hour. I thought he price was fair and enjoyed the fact that he came to me and I did not need to sit around in a waiting room. Ron was courteous, professional and made this experience very easy. I highly recommend LA Power Windows! read more

My husband booked them and I met them with the car. My husband said it was easy to schedule. They came out quickly & arrived on time. The man doing the repair told me the window would be fixed in about 45 minutes. He was done in 40 minutes. He was very polite. The man also noticed that the inside of my driver's side door was loose for some reason, so he fixed that at no additional charge. At the end of the service, he made sure I understood that his service comes with a two year warranty. A woman called a couple of hours later to make sure we were satisfied with their service. We would definitely use this company again. read more

I'm overall very pleased with the service I've received. They came to my office all the way out by LAX and fixed the window on my Volt in about an hour. Guy that did the repairs was very friendly and knowledgeable about his work; I appreciated that he made a point to explain exactly which part had failed and what he'd done to replace it. Two months later though, the replacement part suddenly fails. Luckily, they were very quick to honor their two year warranty, and had it fixed the next day! This service is a great price and they really stand by their work. read more

Be ware of these guys, Ron messed up the widow and broke the regulator . He asked me if I can order one through eBay, I showed him the products on eBay which he confirmed "this is the one and I need to order" Ron said which I did In front of him . He came to install it to find out it's the wrong part and he sounded like he is doing us a favor . Very un professional and dose not any thing about Windows and also very expensive I shouldn't even give him any star . My window panels are still out and i do not have a working window. I had to call to American Express and PayPal to refund my money. Pictures available of the mess Ron has done read more

Came out to my apartment on a Sunday. Done in about an hour, $195. Good deal and guaranteed work for 90 days. UPDATE: 10/24/16: Last week, the window I had repaired by LA Power Window back in 6/2015 broke again. I am past the 90-day warranty and now reside in NYC so I can't call them but I am sure glad I didn't anyway. I was not confident in repairing the problem myself last year but out of necessity I attempted to fix the problem myself and was successful. It took me 1.5 hours and cost me $5 in parts and another $5 for shipping. My complaint with this company is that they were not honest, did not use new parts, and damaged my vehicle during the repair. These are all things I would have never known unless I did the repair myself. This is the type of person/company that give good mechanics and repair shops a bad name. To be specific, instead of using a new part to replace the damaged one he applied a temporary fix by using a piece of weak wire to attach the regulator cable to the broken drive dog. This caused the wire to be slightly "shorter" and was the reason the window was making a clicking noise the whole time which I just wrote off to being an older car. After my repair, it works and sounds as good as new. He also tore apart my Vapor Barrier which seals the door from water, and did not replace or at the very least seal the bottom part of what was left. This was why there was always water on the floor of the car after a car wash. My update to the previous 5-star review is not because this person doesn't know what he is doing. In fact, quite the opposite, he knows exactly what he is doing and uses cheap, temporary fixes and then proceeds to be dishonest. If he had told me he needed to order a part and come back another day I would have been perfectly content. Instead he actually told me he reinforced the part so that it would be better than before. Shame. It explains why he does not like to be watched. If anyone else has had work done from them and feels like it doesn't quite work the same check yourself or bring the car to someone you trust. Most likely he used his little toolbox to apply temporary band-aid to the problem. Shoddy, shoddy workmanship. I have attached some pictures for proof and description. Shame. read more

I made a big mistake calling LA power window. For starters, when Ron arrived, I asked if he was licensed, and he seemed offended, and secondly, he said he didn't allow customers to watch him work. Why would any reputable person be offended if they're asked if they are licensed, and say they don't want you to watch. He acted as if he was doing me a favor. He's rude, and defensive. This is a big red flag, and cause for suspicion. He arrived on October 22, took about an hour to "fix" my window, and then I realized he had not put my window back correctly. He then proceeded to incorrectly pry my door apart to fix his error. The next day, my window stopped working. I called him immediately, and he said he would come today to fix it, but he failed to show up. I called him and he didn't answer. He also charged me a higher price than I was quoted over the phone. I was charged $194.00 for shoddy work. DO NOT USE this business. The warranty is not honored, and Ron does very shoddy work. read more

I was impressed with the convenience and up front knowledge that was demonstrated. I was quoted $175 to replace the entire mechanism on my 2006 TSX front passenger window. That sounded reasonable. Especially because he would come to my house to do the work, It gets better... He showed up and determined that the window could be repaired for much cheaper because all the parts are in good shape. He was very honest and easy to deal with. He spent almost an hour, dissembling the door. Re-affixing the window to the existing hardware and motor, testing it and reassembling it carefully and properly. It ended up costing only $89 and my window works perfectly. I am impressed with the service I received and glad I called LA Power Window dot com. I recommend this business highly for all your power window problems. read more

My window fell into my door on the day of the big storm as I was driving on the Freeway, huge bummer. I went to two different places and was quoted almost twice as much to repair the drivers side window on my 2003 Kia Spectra. A few places wanted to charge $100 just to open up the door frame to see what the problem was.. even I, a layman when it comes to power windows, knew that the motor was still working and that the window just wasn't in the mechanism, it shouldn't cost $300 for parts and labor for this problem. I called LA Power Windows the next morning and they quoted me $170! Way cheaper than those other places. They came out to Eagle Rock two hours earlier than expected and fixed it in 40 minutes. The guy (I forget his name) was really polite, had a trustworthy smile and got down to work immediately. At the end, they put a 60 day warranty sticker on my car door, which is great since the #1 problem I see online with Kia Spectras is the window going off track. If this happens to the other windows, I know exactly who to call to get it fixed... LA POWER WINDOWS! read more

Came out to my house in Aliso Viejo from LA to fix my window. I received confirmation the day before that he would be out in the morning. I received a texted message when he was on the way with a time. He called me 30 minutes before he was going to arrive and was right on time. My window was fixed in 40 minutes and it was way less than the dealer. I recommend LA Power Window and would used them again. read more

My driver's side window was stuck and the regulator wasn't working for my bmw. After being quotes an average of $350 by a number of places and those I have used in past, I called Ron. The problem: a broken electric window. Of course it got stuck when it was down, and my poor wife shivered on her way to and from work. But Ron at LA power window was quick, one day service. *Vulgar Language* I will only give this a 1 Star, not to the company but to its Customer Service lady, Danielle, because she was super polite to me and she probably has to deal with his arrogant, disrespectful, rude, ignorant, cunning, domineering, intolerant, surly, and vulgar a** every day. I'm not sure if this is his wife or whatever, but she is too nice to be working for someone like Ron. I called Ron to get a quote from LA Power, and he quoted me $185. I explained that I had a brand new regulator that I only needed the spindle that holds the cable to be put back in place into my new regulator and my cable to be retightened, one that cost me over $100. He told me that he wasn't able to do it because I had to get their entire installation service and that he wasn't able to do it since I honestly didn't need him to install it because my husband has done it before for my driver side window. I said alright and hung up. A few days later, Danielle called me to ask if I was able to resolve my issue and I explained to her my dilemma. Was quoted $125 for the service so I told her yes and she scheduled my appointment. Ron came on time and I showed him my regulator and instantly said that he couldn't fix it. I said why not? And then instantly he just squared up and became super aggressive. Asked me where my old regulator was (which has a ripped cable) and I told him that I threw it away. He was like, do you know ANYONE who will fix this for less than $125?? And I said actually I do, but I haven't been able to get a hold of him. He was my original plan. Ron was my backup. He showed me his box of spindles and said I have 10 years of doing this and you know nothing! Oh boy, I don't even let MY OWN HUSBAND talk to me like that, what makes him think that I'll allow him to speak to me like that? I said WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IF YOU USE MY SPINDLE AND NOT YOURS? He didn't want to fix it unless he used his! OH AND he doesn't want you to watch him work because he probably does some shady shit. I was so furious and he said, I'll charge you $185 for fixing it / installing it and I guarantee it for 2 years. But from reading his bad reviews, he doesn't honor his work at all. I told Danielle that I will gladly pay $185 for someone to fix it but I do not want him to touch my fu****** car or be anywhere near my car. I don't appreciate being felt like I'm stupid just because I'M A FEMALE. While I was on the phone with her, he started putting away his tools into his car like a little fu****** kid packing his video games and going home after he got beat at his own game and took off before I was able to even consider paying for his service. Oh please, grow up. Very unprofessional and sad that he runs his company the way he does. Danielle said she would pass on my comments on to the manager but c'mon girl, I know you work for Ron. Hopefully she sees this one day and kudos to her for working for a tool like Ron. Garbage service from him served on a silver platter by Danielle. I wish you luck Danielle, you deserve much better than that piece of sh**. And to everyone else that does get his service, make sure to read people's bad reviews before you decide to go with his service. Keep your receipts and make sure you watch him fix your regulator. Nobody should ever keep you away from your own car while they do work on it. Fu** that. read more

Hallelujah! So, it's 4:30 p.m. and the window of my Acura MDX doesn't want to roll all the way up. Great! Every shop is closing, booked our over priced; so what do I do? I go into full Google mode and to my surprise come across LA Power window. A mobile repair company, I had many reservations believe me; I soon realized I could breath a little easier. Ron quoted me $165 with as little information as make, model and location. My husband was very skeptical but told me to go ahead and make a appointment. I called to set the next available appointment around 8:30, by 10:40 (earlier than expected) Ron arrived very professional and ready to work, by 11:20 my window was working like new. And, guess what...I paid $165 as quoted + $9 mobile fee and received a 180 day warranty. Thanks LA Power window! read more

Terrible experience, stay away!! Repair man came to my house and spent almost 4 hours trying to repair my window without success. He then told me that he needed to replace the motor and would return at a future date when he was available but that I needed to pay him the full $300 now. I told him that I was not comfortable with that and I offered to pay him half now and the rest when the window was fixed. The guy flipped, started yelling, using profanity and punching my car's door demanding his money. I had to call the police but he left before they arrived. Incredible Service. My passenger side window chose the first rain storm of the season to just drop into the door. I found LA Power Window online, and they came to me the same day. He was able to close the window (and the other one that I'd neglected to fix and had jammed shut). He let me know he'd have to order parts, gave me a very good price, and a time frame to return to complete the work within a few days. In the mean time he secured the windows so they were shut. He came back as promised, on a Sunday no less!, and now my windows are perfect. I was really impressed with their level of service. Really A+. They know their stuff, they can come to you, they were very professional with the receipts and estimate and even form of payment (debit card is almost unheard on with a mobile service, but they have it--no need to run to the ATM machine). I highly recommend them for window repair. read more

We had a pleasant experience dealing with Ron. He was honest with his work and did not take advantage of us at all. If I could, I would give this rude individual (Ron) zero stars. He didn't want me anywhere near him while he was working on my vehicle. In fact, he threatened to leave if I stuck around. Reluctantly I obliged. After about 30 minutes, he was done and when I asked him if he had to replace any hardware and he told me "to stop acting stupid" and that he had already given me an estimate over the phone. At which point he really got me angry and I told him he was terrible at customer service (among other things), to which he responded he was a mechanic and not here to provide customer service. If I wanted customer service I could go to the dealership and pay much more. Although he repaired the window I wouldn't recommend him. The most rude person I've ever encountered. It's a miracle he's in business. read more

I got scheduled for a monday from 12pm - 2 pm it was 2:30pm so I called him and ask if he was still coming. He got angry really fast saying "Don't rush me!". I kept my cool and told him I need to be somewhere. He says "I'm coming, I'm coming". He gets there and finally starts working on my honda. He takes it apart and says "This is a difficult problem". He tries to jack up the price by $50 bucks. No way! He says fine and tries to leave everything opened up. I told him to put it back together and he tries to charge $40 for that. Wtf! Dude just put it back together. He does and slams my door when his done. I told him to leave immediately. . . Worst experience ever! I don't recommend at all. read more

Ron was fantastic in fixing my rear passenger window when it stopped functioning and fell down. He was able to schedule for the very next day after I called, agreed to work around my schedule, showed up right on time (even giving me a call to confirm 30 minutes ahead of time), and fixed the window in less than 35 minutes. My wife used LA Power Window to have her passenger side door window fixed because it wouldn't raise. Well the initial repair went off without a hitch and we were satisfied. 2 months later the window once again won't work. My wife called Ron at LA Power Window and he immediately started back pedaling about how he couldn't honor the warranty (which was for 180 days) without a paper receipt. We thought this was weird, since he clearly remembered us and had a digital receipt on file. But whatever, we found the paper receipt and called him back. He said he could come out on Friday (we called on a Monday),Friday comes along and Ron was supposed to show up at my wife's work...he never did. He also never called to update us, WE HAD TO CALL HIM. We wound up rescheduling for the next Monday. The following Monday my wife called him again to confirm what time we could expect him, no answer - she tried calling several times. That's when I tried calling from a different line and sure enough he picks up on the first ring - which made me think he was ducking her calls. I asked about the time we could expect him and he got pretty abrasive and defensive, giving me a four hour window. He did show up and he did the work again, but when I asked him for some kind of work order or receipt of the second repair, he refused. He told me not to worry "I won't screw you over". To be fair, the window did work again when he was done but I don't think we're going to ever use this business again. Pros : He did follow through on the warranty after we found the paperwork. Cons: Unprofessional, unreliable in communication and occasionally abrasive. read more

Very impressed with power window repair service. Ron was on time, priced fair and finished in just under 1hr. This man knows his business and I would not hesitate use his services again. Fact that they offer warranty is a huge plus! read more

If you don't mind rude and confrontational then go for it. Because he provides a convenient service. But don't expect him to honor his warranty. He sold me a warranty written in his own hand writing. It specifies mobile service at 40% of full price. We scheduled several times for the warranty repair. He never showed up. When I asked questions about the warranty he wouldn't give me a straight answer. When I pressed, he became rude and confrontational. Ultimately, he said that because I am arguing with him (I wasn't even arguing, just wanted a straight answer) I have to drive to his place or else I had to pay full price for the mobile service. He lives 2 hours away. He works out of his residence. Does he really expects me to drive 2 hours? Then what? Should I wait in his apartment or should I roam the streets of a strange neighborhood for a couple hours? I paid for mobile service. I expect to receive mobile service. 5 starts to start Minus 1 star for not showing up multiple times Minus 1 star for rude and aggressive attitude Minus 3 stars for not honoring warranty Yelp scales from 1 to 5, so I have to give at least one star. Otherwise, he's a zero for wasting my time, having a bad attitude, and being so untrustworthy. Since he refused to honor the warranty, I will take it to a local repair shop to replace the power window regulator and send him the the bill in lieu of the warranty. If he pays the bill, I will upgrade the review to 4 stars. read more

This company DOES NOT UPHOLD THEIR 2 YEAR WARRANTY! The original service was great, the return call was very prompt. But after 5 months the same window does not roll up again and LA Power Windows refuses to return my multiple phone calls requesting warranty service request. I have now called almost every day, sometimes trice a day for 2 weeks. I also txt message them through the txt's they sent me when they were setting up appointing to make money of course. I am a hard working single mother 100% on my own with young kids who suffer with the heat and noise everyday with this broken window issue. I worry every time I park that my car will be broken into with this broken open window. But I have to go to work and take my kids to school and buy groceries for them and many other things where I have to park my car. I could barley afford the first time and picked this company because of the warranty. I am looking into making an official complaint with the BBB next if I cannot get them to uphold their warranty. I just want my window fixed and the warranty honored. I see the owner responds to these reviews and hoping he will respond to this one and help since I cannot get any response via phone calls or txt messages from his employees. read more

My experience was very pleasant. I had the issue with my window motor few times and my mechanic couldn't resolve the problem. Many other electric places didn't want to even look at the car, because they were all aware of the weird problem of infiniti G35 coupe. Even after replacing the motor, the window would go up and then after hitting the top position would go down 2 inches and not fully close. Other repair places were sending me to the dealer. Dealer's prices are ridiculous. So I called LA Power Windoe and Ron came by my place and replaced the motor on my infiniti G35. He wouldn't reveal the secret what they were doing wrong before,, but his price was the lowest out of everyone and service was great. My window works perfectly. He added $10 for coming over, which he didn't mention when we were setting up the appointment, but it didn't matter, because my window was finally fixed properly. read more
