Chicken and waffles pizza and salad
    Macauley N.

When the pizza of the month is chicken and waffles, you have to go! Consistently, fast, delicious. Chicken and waffles is sweet, salty, chewy, crunchy, everything. The maple syrup drizzle balances the salty crispy crust and spicy chicken. Bardstown road location is perfect for pickup and takeaway orders. Salad is fresh and ranch is delicious!

Note, this is a large to-go box, shown to give perspective on these hearty slices!

Note for clarity, this is a review for the Bardstown Rd location only...though I can attest the food quality is the same at each location! Delicious NY-style pizza. You can get a whole pie, but it's well worth going by the slice (always pepperoni, cheese, and a slice of the day selection). Very fairly priced and plenty filling in their foldable goodness! Decent selection of mostly craft beer too, which can be taken to go. This is a counter service spot. Folks are friendly. Space is small (it's geared to carry-out and delivery), but there are a couple of tables and some counter space if you're inclined to dine in. Solid spot!

When first entering I notice that it's filled with decor and just something to look at, at every corner. The service at the bar is quick & all the way to the back outdoors is where they had their event with the boil and chill people that would chat with anyone. I was apprehensive about going alone, but it was such great exposure therapy especially since everyone was so kind & talkative! When I went up to get my serving I didn't know seasoning it was even an option, but I got it each time!! They scooped a generous amount for me & tossed it in a Vietnamese chili sauce, it was phenomenal. I've never eaten it that way before, but glad to experience it! The servings were huge & they allowed me to get 3 helpings!!! When talking with the locals I was told they do free dinners numerous nights, and would love to visit again! Such a great time!

My family traveled in from western…read moreKentucky to enjoy my cousin's wedding and had just finished the reception dinner when we were looking to find somewhere to catch up, as we all work busy lives and never truly get to see each other as much as we like. Now, stepping out of the Uber with my dad and uncle I am let with a very disgruntled brother because whoever was running the joint asked to check IDs of him and his wife, and was auto rejected. Mind you it was around 1 am... But they're business hours say open until 4am. It quickly devolved from there. My family wanted to know why they were rejected. Not a harmful question by any means. Instead of practicing a proper business model the workers or... Frankly whatever they are, proceeded to rage bait my family, and pull out phones to video the scene for whatever reason than to make themselves out as some sort of victims of circumstance? They called my brother a "privileged white boy" and then proceeded to devolve in middle school insults towards our mother who wasn't even present at the time... I cannot even begin to tell you the Jerry Springer/Dr. Phill shinanigans that went on last night at the Pearl.... But like many fancy pearls that are taken in for appraisal, this bar turned out to be a disgraceful imitation of what the city of Louisville is meant to be. After telling the people who worked at the establishment to please just go inside and lock their doors to stop further antagonizing my family, the man with the horrible bald fade and limp pancake hair flipped my dad off behind the glass door. If you want drama and a scene? This is the bar for you. If you're looking for somewhere quiet to share a couple drinks and catch up with family... Steer. Clear. This is not a place where human beings are treated fairly.

I've been a few times now and it's always very chill and relaxing, and I love the music selection. When you walk in the plant shop is in the front and the bar is in the back. I recommend heading to the bar, grabbing a delicious hand crafted cocktail and relaxing for a bit. However if you're super eager to shop grab a cocktail to enjoy while you walk around the store. I've only ever had the Carajillo bc it's so damn good. It's light, refreshing and delicious. It consists of dark matter cold brew, Licor 43, Paranubes Cafe de Olla, Alma Tepec pasilla chile liqueur, hazelnut, cinnamont. They have the best mezcal by the bottle selection which I believe you can purchase some online. While sitting at the bar, I noticed all the bottles neatly displayed on the shelf behind the bar and none of the labels are ones I've ever seen before. In addition to being able to shop for plants, they also offer Plant workshops that you can sign up for online! Some of the workshops include a price for two people so pay attention to what you're signing up for. And if you happen to get hungry and need a snack, they also offer a few light bar snacks that consists of chips and salsa, spicy oaxacan peanuts, spicy pickled carrots, and Nemi Mexican lime crunchy snack.

The snacks to go with the drinks were also excellent. I can't wait to come back and try out a class.
