Bingo in the Heights at SPJST Lodge 88 is such a fun experience. It's incredibly organized and well…read morerun, and the staff keep everything moving and are friendly and efficient. Bingo is $15 and cash only, and you're free to bring your own food and drinks as long as they're not items the lodge sells. The crowd is younger and much livelier than the stereotypical bingo scene. Doors open at 5:30, and getting there early really matters if you want a good seat because it fills up fast. You can even reserve tables for birthdays or group events. They also sell mini cakes, popcorn, and daubers.

Not your average Granny's bingo, that's for sure! I planned a social outing for my team/coworkers…read morehere, and we had the best time! I highly recommend gathering your group for a Thursday Bingo Night here, so much fun!!! They have an efficient system in place, and it is $15 (cash only) for a packet of bingo cards for a chance to win the big bucks for each round. I recommend getting there early when doors open at 5:30 PM, to save your table(s), especially if you have a large group, since it fills up quickly (including parking lot) because it's the place to be on a Thursday night. Their kitchen is currently closed, so you're allowed to bring your own food, which is fine. They do have concessions and a mini bar with sodas, water, beer, and seltzers too. My team already wants to go back, so we've started a bingo night tradition because of SPJST!

When we walked in, it definitely felt like Cheers but we were the only ones who didn't know everyone's name lol. The workers were friendly with assisting and guiding us but it still was a bit confusing. If I were to return, I'd like to go on a weekend where maybe there are more people who aren't regulars.

Texas Star Bingo is located on the second floor of the building and is very spacious. When you walk…read morein, you are able to clearly see the openness of the venue, the area where the caller is seated to call the bingo numbers out, the concession stand (to buy daubers, bingo cards, bingo computers, and of course food), and the restrooms. Texas Star Bingo usually has at least three predominant games, which includes early birds and two other game sessions (session one and session two). There are also many options to play other mini games in between the above referenced games. Essentially, there are vast opportunities to win anywhere from $250 to $1000, depending on the day and if you win individually. Depending on arrival time, it's wise to decide a game plan for purchase. Essentially, the game plan could include decisions as to whether you want to just play via paper, do your want the computer to do the bulk of the work, or do you want to do both options. If you are one that wants a mixed experience, you could get that for about $30, which includes two computers and two hard copy cards which are for both game sessions (if my memory serves me right). Overall, I always have a good experience when I visit.

I went for the first time with some friends who have been going there for many years. I had never…read morebeen to a blues club before, it was a lot of fun, you go to the bar to get your own drinks. They do not have food, we actually brought pizza in Side from Domino's next-door. We got there early so parking was easy. It's a small place, but there was plenty of seating and two pool tables. People were dancing and having a wonderful time. The band was a lot of fun as well. I would definitely go back. It was $10 cash cover charge on Friday night.

There is a cover charge of $10 for most of the performances but if you check out their website and the calendar, some of the shows are free also. The crowd is mixed but as would be expected with the genre of music, it's older - I would guess the average age of the crowd on the night I was there was 50-60 but they were getting down and having a good time so that's the important part! Parking kind of sucks here so I would suggest coming in early and if you find something in the parking lot or by the mechanic shop, back your car in because people will likely park behind you and it'll be pretty tight getting out later. There is also street parking around the neighborhoods but check the signs to make sure you don't need a permit.

The rest of the time is spent on pull tab games. There are way too many pull tab games to truly enjoy the general game of bingo! You're almost forced to buy pull tabs because it's so time-consuming. Great atmosphere and food.

What a fun night!!!…read more Absolutely love coming here but I do miss the old Louetta spot! For some reason I have not won at the new spot but the old spot I won a couple of times. Not sure what it is but it won't stop us from coming back especially now that we found out they have a points reward system! So, if you ever go and it's your first time make sure to enroll and find Sonya. She's super sweet and informative. They have several specials on different dates. LOTS of seats evens smoking section that is separated but if you have a big party be sure to get there early to grab a table. They also have a small slot machine area. They also have lots of food and drink options now which they've come a long way because it used to be very limited. I had the grilled chicken wrap which I forgot to take a pic of but it was very filling and not bland. Got a side of ranch offered and the fries were seasoned and freshly cooked and crispy. Also got a frozen prickly pear margarita which was surprisingly delicious. Always a great time here. The only thing is there's a lot of lag time in between bingo games so they can play their tabs and other games they have for additional costs so be ready to pack your patience but you can use that time to socialize as we did. I was also bummed since we were celebrating a birthday and I was told in an FB message from someone there that birthdays receive a free computer with purchases over $20 but then we get there and was told that's only on the actual birthday date or on Thursdays. We came Saturday. Also, note since I had to ask because it used to be BYOB that no, you cannot bring your own food or drinks from outside besides cake or cupcakes if you're celebrating.
