I ordered a pizza to go and my friend had the fish and chips with two drinks came to around £13.80 that was quite good, food was tasty and for sure will be back soon.

Stumbling upon the first chippy in our vicinity the owner gleefully shouted "fish is our speciality, come in and sit down!" We did and he was right, fish was his forte. I came across the beach cafe by surprise, as l didn't even know it was here, I enquirer on what lunches they did, but sadly the day of lunches are long gone, all that they did was tea/coffee & biscuits and tray bakes. This is a place that you must put on your must go to list, looked right out of a film set as if time had stopped. I got talking to the lady that owned the shop who said that it has been in her family since the 1930's and it was only herself that worked the cafe now. Was well worth visiting here for the nice cup of coffee & chat. Will be back again to visit soon.

Cassandra's cafe is a 42 seater eatery serving light snacks such as breakfast rolls, soups and cakes but there is a lunch time special menu with many items being around the £3.50 mark. Even though I know that cafes are cheap it's been a long time since I've been to a cafe at these prices. The food is basic & old school and for the prices you aren't going to get quality, but for sure you will get a good feed.

Truly stunning and exceptional place…read more Family and I (American tourists) stopped in on advice from a friend since we had a few hours to kill before our ferry. It was a Sunday afternoon in late December, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to rest and eat and enjoy Arran than here. The live music was fantastic (Anchorline and Friends), playing bits of what I assume was Scottish folk music, along with a bit of American folk as well. The atmosphere was lively and fun, service was excellent despite the hustle and bustle. Finally, the food and drink was exceptional as well! I had the burger with haggis (loved it) and my family all had different burgers/sandwiches with chips and salad, all got rave reviews. Topped off with great dessert (Hot Chocolate with a bit of Arran Gold for me, amazing). Can't express enough how great this place is, on a small island off the West coast of Scottland. I've travelled quite a bit, and it was truly one of my favorite experiences in the world, both this bar and the isle itself. Hopefully we'll find our way back soon!

Now I'm not into fiddle music and obviously that's the kind is music they play, but it wasn't annoying at all. We had a beer and wine - a large rosè for me and a pint of Arran blonde for Graeme. Came to £10 for the round which I thought was a little pricey but then, I guess Arran is. It's casual inside and their menu is pretty simple but the people next to us were saying they were really impressed with what they ate. If you can, get a seat in the bay window as then you'll have a beautiful view over Brodick Bay.

I had coffee here today and it was lovely a frothy latte in a tall glass. The Mocha Italian blend is served here and they offer to grind beans for you to take home. Many nice varieties of tea as well, plus luxury hot chocolate with marshmallows, cream and flake (wow!), and iced coffee. There are shelves on the left as you go inside selling various goodies, including dried pasta, biscuits, chilli jams, chutneys and other preserves. In the cafe you can have panini, sandwiches, tortilla wraps, salads, homemade pate, homemade soup of the day, bagels with imaginative fillings (including smoked salmon or banana and cinnamon); you'll find extra meals or snacks on the blackboard at the back of the cafe. Apparently, all produce is locally sourced wherever possible. There are milk shakes available and other soft drinks. There are shelves containing magazines and newspapers, which are free to read, on the left of the counter. I think the tables could be a bit nicer or, if not, then tablecloths would improve them, and the wooden floor is in dire need of a coat of paint as the black paint has mostly worn off and looks very scruffy. These things slightly spoil what is, otherwise, a lovely little cafe.

The menu is good, mainly lunch and snack food but they do gorgeous paninis and bagels with unusual fillings. The dessert menu is to die for, freshly baked cakes, millionaires shortbread, rocky road, a different selection each time I've been in but there are the staples including carrot cake. I spent a lovely Monday afternoon relaxing with my knitting and one of the many magazines they have on offer, the daily papers are there too. The staff are great, chatty and helpful. I'm also sure you can buy gifts and certain coffees that you are served too. Enjoy
