He seemed nice and kind knowledgeable. However, their follow up after that consultation was poor. After I sent them records requested by the attorney so they could decide whether to take on my case, they took 10 days to review them and to tell me they couldn't take on my case partially because I had "returned to work". I quickly responded to their email to make sure they understood. I had only returned at 10 hours a week (formerly full-time 40 hours) and wasn't sure I'd be able to work much longer. I asked if that changed their assessment and if not. if they could recommend other firms. They didn't respond. I followed up twice more via email and also asked for the free e-book they promised in promotional emails. I still have not received a response over a month later.

Incredibly Grateful to Attorney William Inman Mr. Inman, who…read moreis a partner in the McCarthy Wilson law firm in Rockville, MD, resolved a long-standing dispute with an insurer in my favor. I signed on with Mr. Inman fully aware that his fee was limited by law, and would be minimal considering the numerous high-fee cases among his other clients. Thus, I expected little attention on his part while he naturally devoted more time and effort to high-fee clients. Surprise. Mr. Inman resolved my case on a fast timeline, was amazingly responsive to my phone calls and emails -- even on weekends and holidays. In addition, he won a significant financial settlement for me. In any legal action, you will find yourself working with paralegals, secretaries, and other support staff in the law firm. Their responsiveness and mindset about a client can be as important as that of the attorneys. In this regard, I have nothing but praise for the staff at McCarthy Wilson. To be fair, my excellent treatment at McCarthy Wilson may be the rule or the exception. I do not know. But I would highly recommend the firm to others in need of legal representation in the firm's areas of specialization and seeking justice. Give them a try.

A Pitbull in the Court! The One You Want on Your Team!…read more I retained Mr. Allen when my husband was in jail; he was charged with several serious crimes that could have kept him locked up for the rest of his life. One thing that struck me during the consultation was Mr. Allen's ability to relate... I could tell this case would not be "just another file" to him, but he would dig his teeth in and fight as if it were HIS relative's life on the line. Another thing that impressed me was Mr. Allen's integrity in keeping his promises... The first being to visit my husband in jail before the weekend was over. Mr. Allen offered me a flat fee upfront, but was available via text if there were any emergencies, critical questions, and various court scheduling de-confliction. Although, the outcome looked bleak, Mr. Allen's experience, professionalism, skillful negotiation, and much fasting and praying resulted in my husband being placed on house arrest and probation. I am SO grateful my family is still together and happier now than ever! Thank you for all of your hard work and care!

I am writing to formally document my experience during a recent intake call with Robert E. Scully…read moreJr. regarding a potential defamation and tortious interference matter that left me in tears. I was referred to Mr. Scully by another attorney with whom I work and contacted him in good faith to discuss my situation. At the outset of the call, before I had the opportunity to explain the facts of the matter, I was asked how I knew the individuals involved had the financial ability to satisfy a judgment. This struck me as premature, as no substantive discussion of the underlying facts, damages, or legal issues had yet taken place. As the conversation progressed, I was not given a meaningful opportunity to fully outline the sequence of events before conclusions were drawn. I was repeatedly interrupted and told that I "still had my job," as though that alone resolved the legal analysis, without consideration of the reputational, professional, and operational harm involved. When I attempted to clarify certain legal components relevant to the matter, including fiduciary duty considerations under Virginia law, the tone of the call became dismissive. I was told, "you must be a better attorney than I am," which I found inappropriate and unprofessional in the context of a prospective client consultation. Under Virginia law, while the Virginia Condominium Act does not explicitly reference workplace hostility, the Association, as an employer, is obligated under applicable employment laws to address harassment and prevent a hostile work environment. Additionally, the Board, as the governing authority, owes fiduciary duties of care, loyalty, and good faith to the Association. Once placed on notice of conduct that creates legal risk or operational harm, the Board has a responsibility to act appropriately to mitigate exposure and ensure a safe and professional working environment.. I was not afforded the opportunity to fully explain how that analysis applied to my circumstances before the discussion was effectively shut down. I fully understand that attorneys decline cases every day. A direct statement that the firm was not interested or did not view the claim as viable would have been entirely acceptable. However, the tone and manner of the interaction were unnecessarily adversarial and left me feeling belittled. The conversation ultimately became so unproductive that I ended the call. As someone who works closely with legal professionals in a management capacity, I have not previously experienced an intake handled in this manner. 0/5 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

David Gogal seemed to be in league with my former employer's counsel in concluding "big companies have their ways when they dismiss you, and there's nothing you can do to improve the terms of your separation agreement." After almost 10 minutes on hold, I hung up. Mr. Pikrallidas called me back, without extending an apology or an appropriate greeting, and asks, "What's going on?".
