Our truck had significant damage from highway line paint. We took it to an autobody shop, who informed us that the only option was to remove/replace parts and a complete paint job. Deck stain dripped all over the front end of my car after it rained before the stain dried (not my fault!). I got a quote for $2600 from one shop, $600 and a "we MIGHT be able to get it off" from another shop. I stopped in to see Tim at The Polish Shop (he was referred to me by a couple different people in my Hugo Facebook group) and he gave me a quote for $200! My car had a "review" done by the owner. He quoted me a price. Then on the day of he called me to tell me he stuck his vacuum nozzle in a compartment in the floor of my vehicle and it smelled up his entire shop and he had to go get fresh air, and how something must have died in there and he won't further investigate because he does nothing with biological material. I picked up the vehicle and was charged about $60? over the quoted price because of my "difficult" car. He would not even open the compartment . He said I needed to go to Abra auto care for that. So I got home, and terrified I had a dead animal in my car, I had my son and his friend go investigate. Not only was the compartment completely empty through and through but also had ZERO odor. I even stuck my face right in there and smelled after my son investigated. Mind you that large price of well over $300 did not even include an outside cleaning and my air vents were still dirty and my sun visors still had dirty finger smudges on them. My window was still all spotty and my dash board was dull. He only uses Dawn dish soap to wash the interior of the vehicles. At least use Armor All so the dash boards look shiny black again! THEN, I told a friend my story and he pulled the SAME odor thing and jacked up price on her as well, just 2 months prior. I also had a rust stain on my backseat which was NOT there prior to bringing the vehicle in. It's like he set something on the seat and didn't clean it up. Very disappointing. Great shop . I bring my truck and boat to the polish shop every spring and fall . Reasonable prices . Im never disapointed with the work . Makes my truck and boat look like they did when i bought them . Wouldnt trust anyone else with the black paint on my truck . read more
