I chose three scoops of fish: spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and soy marinated ahi tuna. I have had fresher tasting fish on poke bowls..but there massive serving paired with some really good veggies evened out to amount to a fair poke bowl. I got a half order of white rice half spring mix. They went ham with the spring mix and onions so you'll definitely get all your greens/veg if you go with this option. Still the best place I've found so far for poke bowls in Nashville. The ingredients are fresh and the toppings and sauces are tasty - especially love their crispy garlic and onions. Significant upcharge for seaweed salad, avocado, and masago so just don't be surprised. Staff is always friendly and helpful - not always the fastest during the lunch rush, but there are a lot of ingredients and often indecisive customers, so not their fault and still faster than Cava next door! New Poke place that just opened up this Wednesday. Going in, the ambiance of the place was great with super friendly staff. I ordered the regular size bowl (which was plenty big for me) with white rice, spicy tuna and salmon. For sauces, I went for Gochujang and Ponzu which was an interesting but worthwhile combination. I visited the Poki on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at noon. This establishment looked pretty much the same as the Brentwood location and offers the same menu items. However, this being the Poki's newest location, there were some minor inconsistencies that need to be straighten out for it to be at the same quality as the Brentwood location. The Poki has a signature torched tagarashi sauce in the Smoki Poki that I really like. However, I was not able to get it due to some issue with the cooking torch. My Poki bowl ended up being heavily rich as it was missing the smoky essence of the torch. Besides that, the proteins were fresh. There was one veggie ingredient in my bowl I could not pinpoint that tasted old, unfortunately. Besides those minor setbacks, the Poki offers a variety of ingredients to choose from if you wish to customize your own bowl that is unique from other poke shops. I highly recommend the Smoki Poki if the torch is working, otherwise, I would recommend getting the truffle shoyu sauce. I wish they were a little more generous with the ito tagarashi and nori. Service was good. Very accommodating and friendly. However, I found that they were short staffed during peak lunch hour. Overall, food and service could have been better, which is why it warrants 4/5 stars - 1 less star compared to the Brentwood location. read more

Ok I haven't had Poke in a while and I'm pleased with my poke bowl. I had half white half brown rice. For protein I had spicy tuna, tuna, and salmon. I had edamame, cucumbers, pickled ginger, furikake, truffle shoyu, sesame oil, and gochuchang. The ingredients are all fresh and loved my bowl! The staff was A++ they waked me through the menu. Super friendly and good customer service. The store is super clean and dining area there are plenty of seating. My only complaint was that I couldn't taste the truffle sauce. The spicy tuna texture can be a little weird if your not use to that texture. read more

Bummer - the one item (Kani - shredded imitation crab) that stands out and differentiates The Poki from any other poke-bowl chain restaurant in the Nashville metro area is no longer a $0.50 topping. Their Shredded Kani now counts as a $2.50 protein item. Their Kani has a true West Coast texture - it's nicely shattered and not clumpy - but now you gotta pay full freight for it. When you've eaten somewhere a dozen times and a menu item grenades 5X the price, your loyalty and enthusiasm for the brand can suffer. The Kani to me is what makes this bowl. Now that this price increase makes my lunch bowl closer to $20, it kind of messes up the value quotient for me and I have a feeling I will ultimately eat here less than before. read more

I want to start off by saying I love The Poki in Brentwood. So I was really excited to try this new location. Overall, the experience was just as consistent and friendly as it always is even at the other one. I did notice that this location had a few more options for toppings like octopus, and they didn't mix the toppings and sauce together, they built up from whatever base you choose, that really didn't bother me personally, and maybe if you asked they might! The only other thing I would maybe mention is that the bathroom i believe was for patrons only which was on the door. This was a great experience, the restaurant was clean, and the lady who made my bowl was really patient as I took my time to read through all the options again. This place is seriously great. The Poki just opened a location next to the Vanderbilt Campus and it is definitely a must-try. I've already had it twice. The fish is fresh and delicious and the ingredients are top notch. They have great toppings and even oils to put on top! (I got the truffle oil and it was superb). It is well-sized and the price is comparable to poke bros-- If you're a student there is a 10% discount! My only note is to get the salmon or tuna over the spicy tuna. It's not bad-- it's just all mushed up and I feel like you get a better taste from just getting the normal fish and getting it mixed with spicy sauces (they mix it in sauce before putting in the bowl)! I have been coming to the poki in Brentwood for years and have always loved the food and service but I doubt I'll Be going back after my visit to the one downtown. The service seems to have fallen off and the rules with the bowls don't make much sense. I got a large bowl that was stuffed into a small plastic container that was then placed into a normal eating bowl, instead of being placed into the metal dine in bowls. The server didn't give a specific reason as to why they stopped using the metal bowls other than they are not used for large bowls. The person with me got a regular and was given a normal plastic bowl instead of a metal one as well. The bowl I was given had food falling off the top because the container was too small for a normal portion with no add ons and the server attempted to smash a lid on top sending the sauce and oil and less heavy toppings spilling out the side. I've never been given the small bowl placed into a normal plastic bowl but if you come here be ready for dry rice and a mess. I also didn't see anyone else get the ridiculous russian nesting doll bowl I had to get. read more

I hate to even write this review but they lost me as a customer. This used to be my frequent Poke place when i come to campus for on site classes. $16 got be a FULL bowl. Today a girl i have never seen was working behind the counter. I ordered my usual, Half salad/half rice. My 3 meats of Salmon usually 2 Hawaiian Spicy salmon and one regular salmon. OFF THE BAT i noticed the scoops were small, i said something, she tells me i can only get 1 school of the Hawaiian Salmon, i was like i usually get two and she says i cant so i get regular salmon. next i ask for Kani, she says i can't because i "reached my limit" i said how if its not a fish protei, she says its part of it and if im getting the regular bowl and not large then its an upcharge i said nvm. now mind you the bowl is only 1/3 full, so im standing there looking at this bowl is almost no protein like what is going on! So i proceed to add toppings, some are not even available, then she tells me i cant get more because theres a limit to 5. At this point in frustrated the bowl is only half full and shes limiting what i can get to make my bowl. I nicely tell her "I come here pretty often(at least 2 times a month if not more) and the guy never tells me i cant, and my bowl is full look how empty that is, she just looks at the bowl and then me. I said this must be new because i never had a bowl be half empt. She said "oh maybe he was fired" First you should not say that, second why? why make that be a reason? that he was fired for fixing the bowls correctly and not leaving people with a half empty bowl?? so i said well them can i at least get more lettuce, she places the tiniest amount! so she asks what saucesbi want, i tell her, then asks about my toppings. Now shes rushing me like "Ok what else" "ok is that all", and im like Look at how empty that bowl is, can you just put more stuff to fill it and she says this is how our bowls come. The Fact that i take my bowls back on campus and ppl comment asking me where i got it, because it's always full and nice, now i left with a bowl that didnt even toch the cover top as she placed it on. She rings me up and its $17.99.... EXCUSE ME !? and then the store has the audacity to ask about a tip.... I WILL NOT be coming back here. almost $20 for a Half made Bowl. normally i split the bowl in half and wat half for lunch and half for dinner and this bowl didnt even fill me for lunch! worst experience and they lost me as a customer. They may have new management, but they're jipping you off, taking your money and giving you far less than would even fill up one person. i should of told her nvm and walked out , but i was waiting and craving this all morning. BEWARE the prices also changed and were raised by $2 and she said its always been like this, that the place has been here for 5 yeqrs and prices are the same.....that is false, i have been coming to this Poke Place since 2022 and 2 guys that are always here when i come always service me and do not limit me. Not sure if it had to do with the fact i spoke to one of them in spanish as i am latina myself and it was much easier for him to communicate with me, but neither of the guys that work here have ever given me such a low amount of serving in my bowl.
