Showing my age, I grew up in an era where drive ins still existed, but were fading out. Yes, I'm bordering on the millennial generation. Needless to say, this place made me nostalgic for my childhood. We went here a couple of weeks ago bordering on the end of summer beginning of fall. $8.50 per person on a Saturday night for a double feature. Amazing price and it got better as we went inside and bought concessions. Everything was made fresh to order, nothing really to write home about as far as the taste of the food, it was as you can call it typical concessions. The price though....We got a cheesesteak , pierogis, fries, popcorn, and a couple of sodas for under $20. What can I can't, I'm an expensive date. Next comes what makes it all worth it, snuggling in the car on a semi chilly night watching scary movies. Perfection and romantic. I wish they were close to Philly, but they give me a reason to come back. This place was everything I remembered from my childhood and more.

What's not to love, I ask you?

Awesome local spot to get a great deal on some movies and enjoy an old fashioned night out.

Roxy Theatre - The main Roxy Movies screen #1, which is the best screen to catch films here.

The Roxy move theatre is one of those rare cinema gems that transports you back in time to the 50s,…read moreor maybe the 60s (I wasn't around for that)! The main theatre screen is the main event here, as it has been restored to its old glory; thanks to new owners about a decade ago. It's a huge screen surrounded by art deco fixtures. The seats are comfy enough, even if they may not appear to be the cleanest. The two other theaters are rather generic boxes, the kind you'd find most anywhere else, with smaller screens. You can't beat the prices for a first-run flick: $6/adults, $5/seniors. And those are for the prime time evening shows! Wow! Concession prices are great too: $5 for a refillable barrel of popcorn! If you're ever in Lock Haven, this is a must-see! I'll give it 5 stars, for the pricing and the unique environment. Hands down, this is my family's go-to place to catch the latest blockbuster.

Spent a lot of my Friday nights in that theater growing up, good times. They don't sell tickets online, just at the door. Refreshments are reasonably priced and there is a self-serve popcorn buttering machine. If you are in Lock Haven, you must make it a point to stop by the Roxy for a flick. It has character, so much history and charm. If and when they start selling beer and wine, which is unlikely because PA, I will bump it up to 5 stars.
