The owner/operator is a pleasant chap and knows his way around cigars. He has a good selection of sticks that'll keep you busy for more than a few smoking sessions if you tried something new every time. I think the smoking rooms could use a few more ashtrays, cutters and lighters but I usually went during the day so maybe he puts more out during peak times. Upstairs is the members only section. There's a nonmembers cutting fee to smoke in the lounge. Not a fan of those in general but Joplin isn't exactly a high volume city so it's understandable. I will for sure return when I'm back in Joplin. Loved the places and loved chopping it up with the locals when I stopped by.

Bought tickets online and it stated the doors opened at 6 pm and show starts at 7 pm. Got there at 6:15 pm and were about 150 -200 ft from the entrance in line. It took till 7:15 to get to the door, in the rain. When we got to the door, we asked why the line was moving so ridiculously slow. They stated they were checking ID's. Its an all ages show. Instead of scanning tickets (the ones with the barcode), they were looking it up by name. Then, they stated anyone under 21 had to pay a $5 minor charge! No mention of this on the website, tickets or venue info. Just an outright money grab. Could have made some points up by foregoing the $5 and saying sorry we made you wait in the rain for an hour and miss the beginning of the show. Instead, we got attitude from the meat head working the counter. Be aware that this was a Christian music concert, so between sets the venue blared gangster rap with vulgar lyrics, knowing full well there were children in the crowd. Just absolutely classless. Won't be returning to this venue.

The bar tender let us order food from the mexican place down the street so we had food and drinks and great company. This is my kind of bar! And the old fashioned was perfect.
