We both walked out in desperate need of a chiropractor adjustment. The feature was like watching an old reel to reel home movie complete with rough imagery and popping sounds in the audio. I'm going to venture out here and say they need new equipment because the feature we paid to see was supposed to be a visual marvel. The presentation left us uninspired and not impressed. Exhibits. The tanks were dirty, the exhibits were run down old and outdated. If the ppl there are volunteers some need to be asked not to return, if they're employees they need to be fired. When we asked questions they acted annoyed that we were even there. The animals. I'm hoping they'll be able to improve. I know they're probably still trying to recover from the storms but they need to do more, faster. I shouldn't feel pity for the animals having to spend their life in captivity and wondering are they truly better off. We visited a wild bird sanctuary in Key Largo which was wonderful. We were so impressed we wanted to and did make a separate donation to help keep their doors open. They operate on donations for entry, not an entry fee. Fort Myers, you have a good foundation but you need to step up your game. What started out as new in 1970 is in desperate need of repair. Inspire us!! Also, I'm not tourist. We will go back and continue to pay for entry but I'd like to see some improvements being made between visits.

I have had the unfortunate experience with a non-ambulatory transport at the last minute!! I was dispatched a "curb to curb driver" only. Due to insurance stipulations I was told the driver was unable to assist me in any way!! I needed ASSISTANCE for my 6'3" 220lb. father exiting down 4 stairs,through muddy terrain, non wheelchair accessible & during a rainstorm alone while the driver simply watched me!!!! I was frantic for fear my father might fall with only myself helping him,as he is recovering from a broken hip. I am writing this to prevent even one person from experiencing what I did. I feel morally it is my duty to convey this PERTINENT information to others!! Please, learn from my experience & call the RIGHT PEOPLE for the RIGHT JOB!! The worst drivers ever seen in a transport service! I was…read moredropping off my mother in law to Devita for her dialysis treatments and I pulled her up front of the building to get a wheel chair to wheel her inside in the drop off waiting room.... Before I could even get her through the front door of the building, I heard a long and loud blast of a van's horn. I finished wheeling her inside and told her I'll see her in 4 hours to pick her up. As I came out, I saw my wife eexiting the passenger side of the car as she tried to get into the drivers side to from what I could quickly gather was to move the car. The horn kept blaring for about 10 seconds each time the Good Wheels driver laid on the horn and she kept doing it about 6-10 times total. As I came closer I spoke to the driver and she was yelling and screaming and laying on the horn as I was calmly trying to find out what was happening. She proceeded to volunteer to me to call her boss and told me she could care less. I was taken back by the brutal unprofessionalism of the driver. She exited the van and called her superior and started straight out lying to her manager about the situation. I imagine she had a feeling I would call her boss so she made sure to set the stage with lies in her favor. I know after doing some research that the owner of aware would probably not like their company to be run in this manner if they were to find out and to no avail, their owner didn't even reply back to my phone calls or Facebook direct messaging. Whatever you do, and if you can, choose a different option of transportation for your loved ones, they may be abused by the staff like they abused us. What an incredible amount of plants here ! While their focus is more on edible plants and plantings, there was more than enough for people interested in colorful or blooming plants and trees. Beautiful setting, like walking through a tropical arboretum, lush and tropical. We were given samples of probably a dozen leaves to eat or smell through our tour. It really opened my eyes to trying to plant a few things that I hadn't considered before. There's also a small gift shop with some unique items as well as a nursery/garden center with some of the many plants that we had seen on our tour. Nice variety and decent prices !
