Another great experience at Hammond Stadium! This time we were there to watch the Twins vs Sox spring league game. It was a beautiful day for a baseball game, although quite toasty in the sun. The stadium is very well staffed and each person is friendly and helpful. The stadium is clean and the food is great, especially the hot dogs! You can't go wrong with the deal of a ticket with a hot dog and a drink. Today we had to park on the neighboring field, which really wasn't a big deal. Easy parking, accessible complex, and reasonably priced vendors! I loved being able to watch the athletes warm up before the game! Would recommend researching seat locations if you prefer shade. If you're in the sun, bring a towel to sit on so you don't burn the back of your legs on the stadium seats before sitting down! read more

Hammond Stadium 4-12-25 This stadium review is when the Mighty Mussels night game. We arrived here for a Baseball game on Friday night about 5:48pm for a game that started at 7:05pm. As we were pulling into the parking lot there was a 10-dollar charge for parking. You must remember they do not take cash only credit cards throughout the entire stadium and for parking. We told the lot attendant we have a handicap person and they directed us to a special lot which was macadam covered so wheelchairs could roll better. We had to go to the last gate on the left of the front entrance to get to the elevator which was very easy. They had a strict rule on the size of your bag you can take in with you. Our bag was a little bigger, but we had medical items in it, and they had no issues with it once they checked it over. We had to go through a metal detector but that was easy. Everyone was so helpful, and the elevator was easy to operate. Once in the stadium it was very clean and laid out so it was easy to figure out where you should sit. All food and drinks were on the 2nd floor area as was the entrances to all lower levels. Lots of rest rooms were available and they were clean and neat. We loved the food here and its not that much overpriced for example 4 large Chicken Fingers and Fries were 9.50. They do sell Beer, Soda, and Water to quench your thirst I'm not sure about the cost of that. I cannot stress enough how everyone of the people that were working this event was very friendly and helpful. They even announced my dad's 93rd Birthday between one of the innings. The Firework that followed the game were amazing and lit up the entire sky. I would tell anyone that this is one of the best things to do with your family I can thing of they are so family friendly, and all the kids looked like they were having such a great time. I for one can't wait to go back with my family. I will add one thing the ball field was immaculate and very well kept. The night lights lit up the entire field and stadium. The score board was well lit and huge so you could read it from the stands. I will give this stadium 5 out of 5 stars for the food the game and the family fun. I just went to a Mighty Mussels , minor league game. I loved it. Only 850 people there. Kids running around with their gloves scrambling to catch fly balls. Scouts in the stands evaluating players. Lots of families. Just a feel good time that makes you think back to childhood memories and simpler times. Ball players many in their teens hopeful for a future in the majors. With no affinity for either the Twins or Red Sox we bought tickets just for the fun of it. (I have no real allegiance to any team, but if playing I'd root for NY, Philadelphia and Atlanta.) Encountering incoming traffic over an hour before the game, I thought there would be mass chaos. But no! As you get to the stadium, you're directed to one of three lines to park. $15, credit cards only. You follow a stream of cars to designated parking, very systematic, no vying for spots. If walking is a problem, there are golf cart shuttles to the entrance. Your tickets are checked at the gate. No food, no drink and as the signs say, "no bags." But that's not accurate; you can bring a 5"x 9" bag, which of course will be screened. Plenty of stalls in the bathrooms. They're clean, too! A variety of overpriced food and drink in the concession stands. A lot of people working, helping and directing. As said, very systematic. And the seats are comfortable! By the way, the Twins won. Every time I visit my parents in Ft Myers, I make it a point to catch a Mighty Mussels game at Hammond Park. The value to price ratio is outstanding with tickets starting at $10. Parking is also $10, and there is plenty of it close to the stadium. The food options are mostly traditional ballpark fare like hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, and they are all reasonably priced. On most nights, lines for the food move really quickly. They have Killabrew root beer which is a fun, unique drink option. Pro tip: if the Mighty Mussels score first, it's buy one, get one on the root beer. There are numerous beer options as well. Once inside the stadium, every seat is a good one. I like to splurge for the $15 tickets to get super close to the action. You cannot beat the opportunity to see the stars of tomorrow today. The Mighty Mussels are the Single A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins so you are going to see players a few years away from the big leagues. Right now they have the #5 rated prospect in all of baseball, Walker Jenkins. It's really good baseball if a bit raw. If you've got kids, there is plenty for them to do. There are huge areas down both the left and right field lines where they can run around if they get anstsy. During the game they can chase after foul balls. There are mascot races. Here my hubby and I attended the Ft Myers Mighty Mussels vs the Jupiter Hammerheads. This stadium is shared by the MLB team Tge Minnesota Twins who play during Spring Training and its minor team affiliate The Ft Myers Mighty Mussels. Tonight when I told a friend of mine about attending this game, she thought at first I was standing on a dock watching out onto the ocean observing the two sea creatures battling it out. Lol . This is a very cool stadium. The Mighty Mussels and Jupiter Hammerheads fans in the stadium all sat together and cheered on their fave players. Nothing got out of hand. It was really fun. It happened to be Two for Tuesday where hot dogs, beer & sodas were Bogos. 2 for the price of one at the concession stand! My hubby and I enjoyed our hotdogs and slurping down our sodas at a very reasonable & tasty price. The stadium was very inviting. The style was very beautiful with the office area above the stadium done with really cool style. The tickets were very reasonable. Just $13 dollars each for awesome seats. The game was a lot fun. Stopped here recently while trekking to the Clearwater-area from Miami. Hammond Stadium is the Spring Training home for the Minnesota Twins - as well as the home of the Ft. Myers Miracle during the regular season. Given that I visit Rochester Red Wings games a couple times a year, it was nice to see another minor league affiliate for the Twins (Rochester is AAA, Fort Myers is Class A Advanced). Hammond Stadium is a wonderful and charming minor league stadium + game experience. Parking was $5, with plenty of it available. Game tickets are inexpensive (yay for the minor leagues!), and there are a nice variety of concessions available (I opted for the BBQ sundae). Staff here are helpful and very nice. As for the stadium design, there's a walkway that wraps around the entire stadium, as well as a variety of seating levels... helpful, considering my aim is usually to be out of the sun. TL;DR An unexpected delight. I highly recommend you make a visit if/when in the area. read more

Beautiful little stadium. Perfect venue for watching a game. My seats were behind home plate on the second level. One thing that struck me as funny was when the Tampa Bay Rays were up to bat they would sound the charge bugle and all different types of music that you expect to be played when the home team was batting. I know nothing of the Rays or the Twins. I just came to celebrate spring training and watch some baseball. MIssion accomplished. Just so you get the major league experience we ordered two bratwursts, 1 pretzel and two soft drinks. $32.00!! Can't ding them for the expense because it is baseball and the food was good. read more

My wife and I were on vacation on Fort Myers Beach and we saw that the Fort Myers Mussels, which used to be the Fort Myers Miracle, as the low class A Minnesota Twins team played, so I got tickets right behind home plate, turns out we overpaid, as you could go wherever you wanted to. The team only had a few games left, so they had their craft beer on sale for $3. Yes please! The heat was overpowering, so we moved to the left field canopy and it was much more comfortable. I have been for for a Twins Spring Training game and it is really fun as well. The boys did well and won the game and other than the $10 crummy parking fee, which was really crummy, it was a really great time. We left after 7 innings, just because it is so hot in September and we wanted to soak in the Gulf. read more

Who doesn't love a Minor League baseball game? A warm summer evening, the crack of the bat, the feel of a foil wrapped dog in one hand and a cold beer in the other. I am a huge fan of Minor League ball, it is a great place to take the family and root, root, root for the home team...... Hammond Stadium is completely family friendly, it is small enough to allow your kids to run around to chase the occasional foul ball. They even have a grassy slope out in left field for the kids to run, tumble, chase each other without bothering anyone or anything (I would love this area if I were a kid). Between innings they have fun little games for some lucky little fans out on the field. The staff does a great job of keeping the action going between innings. They also have something special going on every home game. Last night was "Bring your dog to the Park" night. They also have an occasional firework show several times during the season. I would highly recommend that you gather your family and friends and take in a game, you will be surprised how much you enjoy yourself. read more

This place is awesome for watching a baseball game. We visited during spring training to watch the Minnesota Twins. The site lines are perfect and really there is not a bad seat in the house. Food vendors provide a wide variety of food. The new BBQ place has a good pulled pork and chicken. Be careful with the outfield location as they have a difficult time keeping food warm. Hot dogs, forget the main vendors, go up to sec 302. Giant hotdogs for same price. Lastly, spend the day watching practice. You never know who you will meet. read more

2017 Spring Training is here. Hammond Stadium kicks off the Spring Training celebration with an Open House, half-price concession sale and free parking! Today is a beautiful and sunny day with a little breeze. Otherwise a perfect day for a game. Err, work out to prep for the Real games later. This is the fourth Open House I attended at the Hammond Stadium. Will be back for many more. We got in half hour late but there is ample parking for more fans. As you stop by the practice fields, batting cages and the field, you see the Twins Organization is running this facility in all cylinders. Grabbed a cold soda/beer with Italian Sausage Sandwiches, then find yourself your favorite seat. Relax and just watch the workout! Here come, Mason Melotakis, Glen Perkins, Phil Hughes, Jason Castro, Joe Mauer, Kennys Vargas, Robbie Grossman, Max Kepler, Eddie Rosario, and others running, catching and swinging their bats. What a wonderful sight! The best is when my wife offer to buy me an ice cream cone. It just hit the right spot. What a day at the ball park! read more

I've been here a couple of times for Twins spring training and always had a great time. The staff are very helpful and respectful. One gentleman offered to take our picture with the park behind us. The parking here is very convenient, and super close to the ballpark. The place is very clean and a nice size. Woo! Go Twins!! My first time at Spring Training and it was great!! First, a few things I wish I had known before going: - Tailgating is permitted! I'm not sure about alcohol, but you are welcome to pull out some chairs and food and have lunch. I really wish we had known this before hand! - You can park and watch practice at the other fields without having to buy a ticket. They have some covered bleachers though I suppose you might not know where practice is going to happen. Probably best for real baseball fans vs. "celebrity" fans like me. - If you want shade, your best bets for seats are sections 301 and 302 (I think, I'm getting different numbers on different maps). All seats are great though. It was a beautiful (hot) day for a baseball game - I'm glad I came prepared for sun as we were 6 rows up from home plate (AMAZING seats for $30 - I recommend if you can handle the sun/heat). Food and drink were about on par with what you'd expect at a stadium. Souveniers were pricey, but expected and you could find some deals. My one suggestion that would have made the stadium great would be some misting stations. Especially in the outfield/under the arbors. This would be really great for the people walking/sitting in the area to have a way to cool down a bit. And, yes, that IS a giant Kirby Puckett leaping over a wall. May have brought a small tear to my eye. DO NOT miss this great photo op!! I think they may have a little tram that can drive you out there if it's too far/hot to walk. I am on a journey to get to all spring training stadiums and Major League Baseball stadiums. When I was down in Florida, I visited Hammond Stadium to watch the Twins play. It was a typical spring training stadium although my first in the Citrus league, I've been to a few in the Cactus League. The bar I went to was out of their signature drink really early on. This was slightly disappointing. As far as fun foods - it was typical basic ballpark food. I was guided to a stand that had pulled pork sandwiches that were ok. Parking was not bad - they actually did pretty well managing it before and after the game. It was a good experience, I would probably go back. read more

Beautiful Stadium, staff so unkind I will go out of my way to tell other Veterans to not go. First, staff seemed angry I needed a true handicapped parking space. I have a plaque and require the extra size space to be able to get in and out of my vehicle. Then I was shouted out to I can't bring my backpack in. No questions, just yelled at. I ignored them. At the security check point they happily accepted my backpack, checked inside -unfortunately I had a bad day in the Army and need the live necessities in the backpack. My service dog and I were treated kindly by Jim who helped us to our seat. As the game went on my dog and I needed shade for a bit. We were told we were not allowed by four different blue shirt staff we couldn't stay in the shade where we were even though we were six feet away from others (and had our vaccination card on me), and no one else was taking up that pace. I only needed about ten or 15 minutes then back to my seat. It didn't happen. - Rude for so I left. I hope you never have to live in my shoes. I was so excited to watch a spring training game but wasn't welcomed because I suffered an injury serving my country and now I'm an inconvenience. read more

"Let's play two!" My review is for a Ft Myers Miracle game, not the Twins' Spring Training. Tuesday is "2 for 1" Night. You can save with Buy One, Get One admission tickets, hotdogs, sodas, and beer. With a coupon from the News-Press newspaper, we scored two GA tickets BOGO for $9 at the gate, plus kids seats are 6 bucks. The stadium was empty, so we were easily able to "move down" and selected some optimal seats behind home plate. This would obviously be far more difficult for a Twins game; word has it their Spring Training is well-attended and tightly crowded. "It's a zoo," the man next to me reported with a serious look of anxiety. Back to our Miraculous Tuesday night... we also scored two Yuenglings for $5.75 (three times!) Can't beat that. Oh wait, yes, you can. It was a double-header. Granted, we got rained out eventually, but what a blast while it lasted. I highly recommend catching The Miracle on 34th St. It proved a pleasurable outing that wasn't hard on the wallet and definitely "something to do" while you are in the Fort Myers area. Parking is $4 and we experienced a very easy in and out. They do not shake you down at the door. Cotton Candy is 6 bucks for a bag that we were able to split at least 3 ways. Nachos were maybe 6 bucks, not totally sure, but it's just a bag of round chips with a tray of cheese- no jalapeños or anything, so I'd personally skip those next time around. The park itself is beautiful and clean. The staff is the real gem here. We got fantastic service and friendly faces all around. For excellent customer service and feel-good family fun, they really knocked it out of the park. read more

We visited for a Ft. Myers Miracle game in July. This is a charming stadium! It was lovely, well staffed with friendly people, and very reasonably priced! We paid just $11.00 a seat for seats just behind home plate on the first base side. Parking was reasonable at $5.00 and close to the stadium. We enjoyed relatively reasonably priced concessions. (Expensive compared to a 7-Eleven; cheap compared to an MLB stadium.) Beer was $7.00, a hot dog $4.00, a soda $3.50, and an Italian ice in a helmet bowl was $5.00 And the game was great, too! Our baseball loving family loved visiting this stadium on our vacation. read more

This beautiful ballpark just a few minutes west of SW Florida International Airport serves both as the spring training home for the Minnesota Twins and the year-round home of the Ft. Myers Miracle, the Twins' minor league affiliate. I took my kids to a Twins-Red Sox game during the last week of Spring Training, and we all enjoyed the intimate setting, the terrific sight lines, and the great selection of food and drinks. The stadium design evokes the spires of Churchill Downs, and there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. There's a decent selection of both macro and micro brews on tap throughout the concourse, as well as an open-air 'Beer Garden' overlooking left field. Parking was extremely convenient, providing an easy walk from our car to the stadium gates. It would be nice if more of the seats were covered, because even in late March, the afternoon sun in SW Florida can be punishing. But if you can take the heat, Hammond Stadium provides a wonderful setting for baseball. read more

This spots ducked up! It's got tiny buckets for hard drinks and big buckets for all the Kings you can drink! The dude that looks for tickets at the berm is pretty chill and isn't too concerned about enforcing park laws. The chicken tenders were a little tough but the papas Fritas were ducked up in a good way. We saw multiple dingers and a couple gold glove worthy plays. I'd love to come back for a miracle game and see how ducked up that would be! In comparison to other stadiums I've been to, this one has all the amenities, foot long doggers, golden pretzies straight salted to heaven and cold brews for days. Only other game I've been to in FL is the Solar Bears and, let me tell you, this stadium is far and away a much better experience. If you're looking for family fun, a great time with the BROS or a nice Saturday out with yourself, Hammond is the spot to be. They even do the dirtiest car in the parking lot challenge which I thought was hilarious!! I jest, I jest, but that was inventive of them. Overall, don't hesitate to make it out to Hammond Stadium. The fountain when you walk in looks so refreshing which kicks the experience off with a nice fresh start and then it's onto the game -- the balls, the strikes, and oh, the errors! Haha, the errors! I can't even begin to explain how nicely spread out and convenient this stadium has been built. It screams quality from the beginning. The fountain is no eye sore as you enter and it's all down hill from there, in a great way! The BREW Buckets are priced right on point and service is the best in the Grapefruit League. If you wanna watch a game without being mad this is your one stop shop. *TRY THE BEER SHAKE* I found myself deep in the men's bathroom. Suddenly blinded. And then. Lovely stadium; I went to see the Twins play the Yankees during spring training '08. The brats are seriously the best I've ever had -- grilled fresh right in front of you over COAL by senior citizens who know what they're doing. They have that perfect "snap", are juicy, and just plain outstanding. I'm salivating as I remember how good they were. I'm knocking a star, though, because it was serious hell trying to get into the parking lot. It was chaos and took forever and a day. There are a lot of Twins fans on the west coast of Florida. A fun stadium. The seating area is comfortable. The concessions are interesting - try a beer shake if you've never had one. Easy parking area. Tip: if you try to do a day/night doubleheader here and at the other field in Fort Myers it can take up to two hours to make the short drive to the other field after the first game. read more

Great stadium to watch a spring training game. There are lots of different seating options and ticket prices available. We got to the game halfway into the first inning and still got two seats in the fifth row behind home plate. The ONLY problems sitting there are: it's super, super hot and you'll likely have to kick one of the agents/scouts/team staffers out of the seat you paid for. They'll grumble, but tell them to keep moving along. There is plenty of good ballpark junk food available and a few good beer choices, too. We had a great time. Go Twins! read more

Minor League baseball is fun anywhere, but my experience here has been great. I've been to a few games. Food is great at the concession stands. There are also a few other stands with specialty food, like BBQ and pizza. The stadium is clean and easy to navigate through. There are fireworks on Fridays, and other promotions through the week.
