Good food and service - but BEWARE of the double tip! The waiter came over to give us the bill he hid the receipt and just told us what the total was. We paid the fee and as USA residents paid a tip as we were not told it was included. The waiter never offered to share the receipt with us - kind of sneaky. Good location with harbour overlook. Good choice not particularly good but very good service and good beer choice. Part of six group chain. I think this is the worst of the bunch but still worth a visit if you can get up the stairs and want to the view. This place is fascinating on so many levels. First, from a Yelp perspective this restaurant is not in Canada but in Bermuda. It's on the main street of Hamilton when you turn right and cross the street from the Ferry. Oh my Sun can it be hot to get there, but when you climb to the second floor where the Pickled Onion is, they have AC. Our waitress not only kept the cool drinks coming, she put us right in front the AC. Bless her. There is also balcony outdoor seating for those with a warmer temperament. I wouldn't call this accessible between the stair case to get in and the step up to use the restroom. But the food is good for something in a tourist location, and the employees are very nice. read more

I had the Korean bibimbap and it was delicious. I definitely recommend getting that for a main entrée. I had a piece of the chicken katsu and that was tasty as well. The papa's pie was ordered by others in my group as well as the the hogs and kisses flatbread was also ordered. I was told the hogs and kisses flatbread tasted better than the papa's pie. As for appetizers I would skip those. The pickled nachos weren't too good and pizza sticks are not worth it. Service charge (tip) is already included in bill but that is most restaurants in Bermuda. The taxi driver recommended this place to me. When I asked for lunch recommendations, without hesitation, he said Pickled Onion. Menu is mixed. I went for the local fish chowder and the spinach salad. Both were good. The soup is on the salty side, but that could be me, I don't like salty soups. Spinach salad is very good with apple, pear, pumpkin seeds and an egg. The dressing is light. There are seatings indoors and outdoors. I decided on an outdoor table, though it was kind of cool, it was comfortable. The view of the harbor is nice. I think the price of food is reasonable here. Everything in Bermuda is more than double compared to the US. read more

My cruise ship docked at the naval yard and we took a ferry over to Hamilton. While exploring we stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to try some Bermuda food! The shrimps were the best I've ever had in my life honest.. they were drenched in a buttery sauce I was in love! My boyfriend had fish tacos and I had a dish with rice/scallops/shrimps. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was also good but I wouldn't say the best. We sat on the patio and there was a nice view of the waters even though it wasn't too sunny. Great spot right on First Street. The balcony has great views. The interior looked very comfortable. They have a nice wine list, and great cocktails. The calamari was delicious and the Asian dipping sauce was unique and tasty. We okie the seafood Meurniere, which was delicious. A nice selection of seafood, and the creamy sauce went nicely. The food is good and we enjoy a lots , the lady working as a host , she's super nice and professional. Any concerns and questions , she would love to help . I took one star off because our waitress , my son is allergic to wheat , but not gluten . When we are trying to tell her and spell the words out because we wanna makes it easier to understand . Her response was " I'm sorry sir , my English isn't very good , and I don't go to school for English . So I need you to spell it for me " . And being sarcastic.
