We really enjoyed our meals. We also used their bar service and the bartender was great and made nice drinks. That being said they are only getting 3 stars because they really missed big on several things. First my only request for the bar was that I as the groom wanted to have an Old Fashioned at my wedding. They didn't bring the proper ingredients. No Old Fashioned for me. Second we requested roasted potatoes and instead got mashed potatoes. They tasted great but again not what we asked for. Third My wife needed gluten free so we had two desserts one gluten free cake and one not gluten free, they mixed them together at the end of the night so no left over cake for my wife. Fourth some random woman came into the venue to snoop prior to the wedding so a catering staff member took upon themselves to show her around and they walked in on my wife while she was changing. Fifth we were given a personalized bottle of Champagne to commemorate the event that was thrown away at the end of the night by the staff as they were cleaning. None of this was really major and certainly didn't ruin our night but left a very bad taste in our mouth about every recommending our using this company again. They did offer to buy us an anniversary cake and bottle of Champagne but we did not want freebies, we just want them to take more care when working at such a memorable event.

Loved having my June 2018 Wedding here! The space is so beautiful - really speaks for itself…read moreallowing us to not have to over do with the decor. I was an out of state bride (Lincoln though is Home) and working with Starr, mostly virtually, was so easy. Then when I was in town she always allowed me to visit so we could plan decor. I ended up doing my ceremony in the same space and the team was amazing re-staging for the reception. The food was good, the staff was nice and again the space is just so pretty-- and a great location especially having a lot of out of town guests. Close to hotels and bars/restaurants for guests to enjoy during their visit. The minor things are there are some dings on the walls and some of the carpet is worn and threads coming loose but again over all I had a great experience and so did my guests!

And to please choose something else. So I ordered a pale ale, draft. It came and was funky. I returned it right away. Ordered Miller light in a bottle. My sis ordered a modelo and thought she ordered a bottle but got a draft. It to was funky and had to return it. I had the ribeye with baked potato and side salad. The salad was nice. The steak nicely cooked. Seasoned well. Enjoyed it. But the potato was one step from cold. Also the restrooms not clean and very dark. For the price point I expect better. Little things but they matter.

And is cozy and comfortable We were attended to by a very nice lady. Good advice about beer. My hubby had originally requested Stella and was told there was an issue with the keg. Thereafter whatever beer we ordered draft did not taste good. Beer in a bottle is fine. So if you guys wanted beer- pls go with the bottle option. I ordered the lavender limoncello spritz. And that tasted very good- delicate and balanced. We ordered onion rings for starters- that was pretty good. Bread was good as well- soft with a light crust and fluffy on the inside. We were a party of 7 and two of us ordered strawberry spinach salad with crabcakes. I'm going to comment only on my food and my husband's. I ordered French onion soup with strawberry spinach salad. My French onion soup appeared together with my salad. The cheese on top of the soup was barely melted- still looked pale. The parmesan on top was toasted to a good brown. The soup itself felt over salted for me. And the croutons in the soup was submerged in soup for awhile so its soggy. The strawberry spinach salad itswlf was delicious and I had ordered crab cakes. Crab cakes were nicely fried. But it tasted more like croquettes- like it was crab flavoured potato cakes. My hubby's steak was cooked very well- as he ordered medium rare. But he said it was not remarkably good. I went to the ladies and wanted to comment that it was super dark. Could hardly see clearly in there. And certain stalls were in darkness. Only a few had light bright enough to see. Overall, the dining area is bright enough to see. Our server kept checking on us so service is good. But didn't like that their draft system is not properly maintained. The cost of the food is not worth it unfortunately. For the price we paid, I would have expected a lot more. 3 stars because of a myriad of things Draft system, dark restroom, ok food but not worth the astronomical prices.

After our experience with Simply Ballroom in October 2022, for my daughter and her husband's wedding, we were confident in what Simply Ballroom could provide for our wedding. They surpassed any expectations we may have had by leaps and bounds. They were organized, efficient and worth every penny! Alex and Rachelle's creativity, dedication, and passion for our wedding and reception was truly spectacular! They were professional, patient, and fun. Becoming involved in working smoothly with everyone, taking our ideas, and making them work. They think things through and are prepared for changing circumstances. Simply Ballroom is an outstanding company to work with. They provided our DJ/MC Services, Cold Spark Fountains, Lighting, Photo Booth, and the Memory Book. All these services were remarkable. The one service I wasn't prepared for was the coordination services. We did not have a wedding coordinator, and trying to do all this ourselves was overwhelming. We turned those duties over to Rachelle and boom, done. And done well!! Their professional capability enabled them to smoothly match the energy of the changing atmosphere, advise us on the flow of events and they created the perfect playlist. Alex and Rachelle communicated clearly and frequently. This allowed for a relaxed, smooth, and completely low-stress day and evening. Simply Ballroom was, and is, an exceptional company to work with. We will always highly recommend all their services! Please check out Simply Ballroom's Facebook posts from June 14th to see some of their incredible work! "Simply Ballroom provided DJ & Photo Booth Services for our second wedding this past Sunday at The Caboose in Red Oak Iowa for Mr. & Mrs. Johnson. This was a very special wedding for us considering we provided DJ services for the bride's daughter last October. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding, and it was such a great turnout! Thank you again for trusting us with another wedding in your family. We can't wait to see you all again!"

It's eclectic and book-ish, with shelves lining the walls and cocktails inspired by favorites! There was a good mix of tables and space to mingle. It was great for the type of event we were at. I'd love to come back again sometime. I was also very happy to see a mocktail menu and am glad many places are moving in that direction. For my mocktail, I tried the Practical Magic (lavendar, house sour, orange bitters), and it was delicious - almost like a sparkling lavendar lemonade. I wish I could have tried the Secret Garden (prickly pear, lime, orange), but they were out of the tequila alternative, and I hadn't thought to sub in real tequila at the time. For my cocktail, I tried the Lavendar and Lace, mostly because I was intrigued by the egg white foam. This is a gorgeous drink to look at and equally to enjoy. It's a bit sweet for my usual liking, but it was delicious none the less.
