I learned a valuable lesson from boarding my dog here -- no one will care for your pet the way that you do. I will NEVER leave my dog with Pet Nanny again. She might be suitable for keeping larger dogs, but definitely not smaller dogs. My dog stayed with her just 1 night and when I picked her up on Sunday, her entire chest looked as though she had been kicked with a steel-toe boot. It was purple and swollen...resembling a blood blister. Not to mention the fact that she was filthy with dirt. I did not notice the area of concern until I got home and immediately bathed her. After seeing her chest area and evaluating her pain level, I called Pet Nanny to see what happened. She told me the following: "Your dog was jumping out of a window the whole day, having fun. It was about 5 feet tall, but she wasn't clearing the jump every time." It blows my mind that she did not think to stop her from jumping even though she noticed that she was not "clearing" the jump every time. Her little legs could not land the jump so she was essentially falling onto the ground and her chest was breaking the fall every time. She could have broken bones or even worse, severely injured her spinal cord. I hesitate to say that she may be suitable for watching larger dogs as well. There is no possible way that she can keep watch over so many dogs in an open area. Dogs can get in fights, dig through fences, etc... within a matter of minutes. Let me be clear, I do not believe that the Pet Nanny is a bad person or intentionally hurt my dog. I just think that she was negligent. I would never trust her again. As someone who agrees to board your dog, it is their responsibility to keep them safe and free of harm. Pet Nanny did not do this. As a pet owner, it is my responsibility to ensure my dog's safety, even when I am away from her. I would rather my dog be safely confined in a crate at the vet than able to run freely at the risk of hurting herself...sometimes we have to stop a dog from doing something because they do not know to stop for themselves. From what I understand, she is not licensed to board dogs as a business. My vet told me that I should never trust someone like this again. Think twice about keeping your dog here. read more

I highly recommend using the Pet Nanny for your pet sitting needs. Lisa aka the pet nanny is incredible! She is very accommodating and friendly. She is a great deal for the quality of service you receive. Lisa allows the dogs (if they play nice) to play in the fenced in yard for the majority of the time they are there. She also has temperature controlled kennels for each dog with a run out of each kennel. Our dog was there for two full days. She fell asleep in the car on the way home and slept for the majority of the next 2 days! She clearly played hard the entire time she was there. That made me incredibly happy. We will be using Lisa, the pet nanny every time we need to go out of town. read more

This is the only place I will leave my small dog...5 lbs. Not only does Lisa take great care of her but she is able to be in the house with other small dogs and people. My dog is very social and needs that. Lisa also sends me pics when I'm away if I ask her to. I know she won't just get care but also love! read more

Always takes great care of our pug. We wouldn't trust anyone else to keep our dog. Our kids love to go with us when we drop off or pick up to see all of the dogs. She has always been very accommodating as well. Love to see our dog on her Facebook as well having a good time. read more

I don't do reviews but I wouldn't wish this experience my husband and I had on anyone. Ever. So I am only writing this to warn anyone who considers taking their beloved dog here..... First off let me say that Ms. Lisa is a very sweet woman from what I've seen. And I'm only giving her two stars because she was willing to take my dogs for another couple of days on short notice. I chose the pet nanny because I read Casey E.'s review and I figured I'd give her a call. Even though the review was three years ago. Ms. Lisa was very polite and reassuring. I was thrilled to know I could rest easy knowing my dogs were in good hands. This was the first time we had ANYONE dog sit them. We usually take them with us but this was a trip they couldn't tag along. She kept the dogs (Yorkie and Dachshund) for a week and a half while I was on the gulf coast preparing to deliver our first child with the support of family in the area. She charged us only 150 for a week and a half. Now that's a great price. Plus since we are in the military she gave us a discount. After having my baby we realized I needed a few more days to recover so I called her and asked her for two more days. She charged us 60 dollars!! WHAT? I don't understand how you go from 150 for a week and a half to 60 for two days!? We had no other choice but to agree.. This is NOT the worst part either. My husband goes to pick up our dogs the day after we come home. Now let me tell you... THESE DOGS WERE FILTHY. They were well groomed before we handed them off to her. They looked like they were playing in garbage... they looked like strays! NOT ONLY THAT. But they were covered in fleas!!! Fleas everywhere. We could not have that in our house with a newborn baby...... We had to shave the dogs completely and give them flea baths.. When I had first called her she reassured me there were no fleas and that the dogs were in good hands... well that was a flat out LIE. We give our dogs treats every once in a while. DOG treats. We come to find that she had been giving them popcorn and people junk food. NOW our yorkie won't eat her kibble. She won't even look at it.. it's been almost 4 days now and she has refused to eat unless we hand feed her like it's a treat... These dogs came back a complete and total wreck. They do not listen and seem to do as they please. Their obedience has completely disappeared. We are now slowly working them back to their original routine... Please, if you don't want your dogs to be covered in fleas and muck, fed junk food, or not looked after DO NOT take them to her. read more

We have used Lisa "The Pet Nanny" many times when we go out of town to keep our Pomeranian. We like that he gets plenty of exercise and stimulation from running in her big yard and playing with other dogs. She also charges a fair price ($25 for the weekend if you're paying cash). Many boarding facilities in this area do not allow Sunday pickups and we are concerned that the dogs aren't given much exercise...we don't worry about this at all with The Pet Nanny, and we can tell she loves the dogs! read more

Lisa has always loved my pets like they were her own. She has acres of land with some of it fenced in, kennels that are air conditioned and a house full of love. She lets me text and keeps me updated if I request. That kind of peace of mind goes a long way when it comes to your babies. read more

Although nowadays I get a house-sitter, I have boarded my dogs with the Pet Nanny numerous times & recommend the place to my friends. I never worried about my fur babies' care when they were at the facility, which is very clean with air-conditioned kennels. It was almost like they were at camp! read more
