I have been a patient of Dr. Nick Lindsay's for over 10 years. I met him when he was working for a…read morevet clinic in Troy, MO and I had a farm there. He initially was my horse vet and did a wonderful job with both our minis and our riding horses. At the time, I had a different vet for my dogs. See, I'm that crazy lady that rescues every stray I see. I've probably fostered over 50 dogs (and some cats and some horses) to date. One day an emergency arose and I needed a dog vet in close proximity. Dr. Lindsay was so kind and patient. I knew immediately I was going to move all of my business to him. After I learned of Dr. Lindsay starting his own small animal clinic, I decided to follow him even though it meant a much longer drive for me (about 40 minutes each way). It was worth it to have his experience with my animals and also because of the quality of care he and his staff provide. My only complaint was he was no longer doing horses. Bummer! Shortly thereafter I moved to Jefferson County - two counties away! But because of the extraordinary care (and folks, I'm not exaggerating) I decided I'd make the 110 minute drive, each way, to still see him. Dr. Lindsay has cared for my precious pets, and my many fosters since. He saved the life of my dear Carmelita when she needed emergency surgery and was at death's door. Post surgery, he informed me he'd never seen a live dog with organs in as poor a shape as hers (she'd been a puppy mill dog) but she was one tough cookie. She lived six more happy years after that day. She was approximately 16 years old when she passed and he took wonderful care of her. He also cared for my precious Oscar, who had SO many health issues. A ruptured eye, blindness, terrible knees, and congestive heart failure. Dr. Lindsay was compassionate, supportive and always had kind word and cuddle for my babies that were in such delicate health. So, to this day, more than six years after I moved two counties away, I still make that drive. I have another vet now for my horses, barn cats and chickens, but Dr. Lindsay will continue to be my dog vet. His professionalism is second to none, he so obviously cares for his patients and about the feelings of their owners, and he has a full service hospital with access to specialist as needed. He has never guided me in the wrong direction, he has always been honest with me about the prognoses, and he has always been fair with me about the charges. What vet, these days, still does their own after-hours emergency services, answers a frantic text on Christmas Day and meets you in the middle of the night because your precious pet needs to be seen? I am dreading the day, if it ever comes, when he no longer provides emergency services, because going to see one of those rotational students at the so-called emergency clinics is not for me! Lastly, Dr. Lindsay's clinic staff is always professional, friendly, informative and caring. The building is spotless and the equipment is up to date. I will never be able to thank him enough for the kindness and care he has provided. There aren't enough words. Thank you, Dr. Lindsay!

We tried for years to help get our dogs' weights under control and Dr Watkins gave us a food recommendation that got them both to a healthy weight without breaking the bank or feeding them terrible ingredients! I brought my dogs in for some weight checks and within a year we had them both exactly at their healthiest weights. Dr Hunter McCann is also incredible! She helped us find the right balance between great healthcare for my dogs, but also not spending money for things that are "nice to have" but not a "necessity". Dr Ryan McCann was also great with connecting with my dogs and giving them excellent care while looking at some lumps and bumps on one of my golden retrievers.

From routine visits to her spay surgery, he's always been incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He takes the time to explain everything in ways we actually understand, answers questions without ever making us feel rushed, and clearly cares so much about the animals he treats. Our dog is usually anxious at the vet, but the moment she sees Dr. Pavia, she relaxes and is clearly comfortable and well cared for. We have complete confidence in his recommendations. If you're looking for a vet who is both highly skilled and genuinely compassionate, this is the one. 10/10. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Would recommend to anyone with a fur baby!!

I am giving them high marks due to I have been working with them for almost 33 years. The current doctor I work with is Dr. Misty Schneider. She is very easy to work with, very knowledgeable and compassionate. I can see she has a true love for animals. I had to work with another doctor when I had my previous dog put to sleep, she was really compassionate and helpful as well. I would recommend them, I can see that they truly want to take care of their furry client base.

It was about three minutes after nine when they called me and wanted to know why I was late for my appointment. I explained the email that I had received and was told by a rather young girl that "we don't have anything to do with that." If I receive an email from VCA, I certainly think that they have something to do with it. They told me at that point that they could not groom my two dogs that day. I told them I was only 9:05 o'clock at that point. They insisted that they would not groom my dogs that day and that I would have to reschedule. I even spoke to the manager who again sounded like a young girl and she repeated what I had been told before and that's tthey could not groom my dogs that day. It's one thing if you are very late and you don't call, it's another when you've received an email instructing you that your appointment time has been changed. They stood their ground and would not budge and I found the entire situation to be ridiculous. This was the fifth dog of mine that they had cared for in the past, like I said I had been going to them for over 20 years. It seemed to me that it did not matter who the manager of the grooming was going to be and I can tell you from being a manager for 35 years that this girl had no experience in handling customer disputes. We quit going and found another Vet. No one called me and asked me why we left, and that speaks volumes as to how the practice is being managed.

My muted calico, Abby, named after Dr. Abigail Whiting, who quite literally saved her life more than seven years ago after she ate something that resulted in a dangerous obstruction, is here again today. I'm in during pre-dawn hours for recurring constipation that we just can't seem to completely get reined in. Dr. Symphony Nguy is taking care of my fuzzy little baby right now. She is incredibly passionate and patient, with a totally soothing voice and mannerisms. She's convinced Abby's issues are able to be resolved with a comprehensive, multi-pronged treatment plan! She offered several recommendations, spoke with me briefly about nutrition and offered immediate relief and hope for many more healthy, happy years with my feline companion. As well, this past weekend, we needed to bring in mom's 19-year-old "Good Kitty" to be euthanized. She told us she was ready to go to Kitty Heaven and in the moment, our regular vet was unavailable. It was all a bit of a blur, but suffice it to say, the staff was understanding and kind throughout. I highly recommend VSS and their team, especially Salem.

He was great to talk to and gave me the information I needed before we came. We were shown into a room right away. He had vestibular disease (vertigo). She didn't rush us and answered all of our questions. He was treated and sent home with meds. The entire office and rooms were very clean and taken care of. Everyone we came in contact with was very kind. Thank you for helping our little guy.
