It's a lovely stop along the outdoor Buchanan Street pedestrian mall. With four levels, lots of retail, a few restaurants, and one great chocolatier, Princes Square Shopping Centre is worth a few hours of shopping for the ladies on vacation in Glasgow. The facility is just steps from the St. Enoch subway station on the Inner Line if you need a reference to the metro stops.

Granted,…read moreI don't actually do much shopping here but it is nice for a place to take cover on a rainy day and browse the shops. This is an upmarket shopping centre which has more expensive high street shops like Reiss, Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Cos (which I'm still yet to check out!). The centre is certainly decorated to match the crowd it's looking to attract - glitzy, glam and always clean and tidy. I like the size of the centre as well - it's very dinky but still has lots of shops and is easy to navigate. There's also a host of restaurants, bars and cafés but I'll be honest - I've not visited many of them. I ate at Barca probably 4 years ago and also one of the places on the bottom floor but I think that's changed hands. One down side is that if you are dining at a restaurant on the lower level, parents will tend to let their kids run riot in the centre circle which can be a bit of a mood-killer. Princes Square doesn't have a car park due to its location but it is really close to train and subway. If you do really fancy driving, probably St Enoch or Mitchell Street are the closest car parks.

Superdrug are doing a promotion where you get 5% off 1st class stamps. Now, this might not seem much but then you add up all those pennies on your Christmas card stamps it could go towards an extra present or perhaps a wee new lip gloss for yourself. As far as I know, Superdrug is the (or at least one of the) only places to do this promotion. You can't even get it when buying in bulk from the post office. They do it on and off throughout the year so it's definitely worth stocking up on your stamps during these periods. I never thought I'd be so enthusiastic about stamps.

It has everything you could ever want from such a shop; medicines, hair products, skin care, electrical goods, batteries, a huge range of cosmetics and much more 2. Due to it's location it is always bustling, especially on weekends but that doesn't stop the staff from being super friendly and helpful. Even if they are rushed off their feet they still take the time to help you out if you have a query or check their stock if the item you want doesn't appear to be there. 3. They always have fantastic offers on. If I go in for one thing - I usually come out with about ten more as the offers really are too good to resist including my favourite L'Oreal shampoo nearly always being on a buy one get one free offer. 4. They always have lots of staff on so even when it is busy you never have to wait long in the queue. 5. They stock make-up such as GOSH, Bloom and Barry M that aren't often stocked in other stores. 6. They have a Superdrug cheek tint that is very similar to that of Benefits "Benetint" I found this after years of using Benetint and can tell you that there is absolutely no difference, well apart from the fact that "Benetint" is around £23 and Superdrugs own is £1.91!!!!! 7. For the past few months they have had an offer on where you get 25% off Superdrug goodies and 10% off all other goodies if you fill in a short survey online. Wow... those are just a few reasons but if you are looking for a Superdrug, I would say this one is the best.

Situated inside Princes Square, you are greeted warmly 'Welcome to the World of Jo Malone' and their intention is clear: to make you feel as welcome as possible because let's be honest...who visits Jo Malone other than to purchase a gift/treat for themselves? The shop smells INCREDIBLE and it should do because they have so many nice fragrances that clearly work together. The table directly infront of you houses sample candles/perfumes of each of their most popular fragrances which you can sample. On either side, there are shelves stacked beautifully (and very precisely; everything has a place) of various lotions and other products they offer. The till counter is to the left hand side and to the right, there is an area where you can receive complimentary arm and hand massages. I knew exactly what I wanted but I took the time to smell the other candles. In my opinion, nothing is as good as the Wood Sage & Sea Salt though and the girl very kindly boxed and bagged the candle for me. Yeah £42.95 is perhaps crazy for a candle...but it's worth every penny. I love it. I also got myself booked in for an arm and hand massage which I'm really looking forward to! The girl who served me was lovely and took the time to chat to me on a more personal level then just a customer which I really appreciated. The nicest touch came the following day though when a hand written card came through the post thanking me for my custom. A little much? I don't think so actually. It rounded off my treat quite nicely and I'm heading back soon to pick up the perfume.

Their bestsellers include; Pomegranate Noir, Red Roses, Lime Basil & Mandarin and Grapefruit all of which of amazing. The packaging here is also beautiful, white packaging with the Jo Malone logo and black ribbon, making it an ideal gift or a special treat for yourself. They also do little boxes with small trial fragrances and bath goods inside which is a great idea for wedding favours. The candles smell amazing and they look just just as good so if your bank balance allows then it would be gorgeous to have around the home. The staff are also really helpful in this branch and will be able to help you find the perfect scent for you.

It doesn't have it's own pharmacy, but this isn't a huge loss considering the ridiculous amount of other pharmacies to be found in the surrounding area. This Superdrug is a really big store and is well set out. As well as all the usual cosmetics, health and beauty items, medicinal items, perfumes, gifts and baby paraphenelia - here you will also find a large range of household cleaning items. No, that's not exactly what I expect to find when I head into a Superdrug - but once you know it's there, it is really useful. Especially as they often have two-for-one or half price deals on. They also have quite a good selection of magazines - although when I say "quite a good selection" I mean that they have a fuly stocked range of gossip magazines. Whether it's Heat, Star or Hello that you're after - you'll find them all here. They're also handily situated by the queue for the cash desks - so you can check out all the front covers while you wait and still pretend that you couldn't care less about Brad & Ange's split.

This reasonably sized Superdrug has had a wee makeover and I have to say it's no' bad. At first confused was I as they had dared to MOVE items and such, what a cheek I thought, but then I got used to the layout and now I approve. They cram quite a lot in here and one thing I like the most about the new change is the make up section to the right as you walk in ~ it's much better than it was before and they've also introduced a few new make up ranges (Sleek, B., GOSH and the excellent MUA & Makeup Revolution brands) which gets a big foundation/blusher/lippy covered thumb(s) up from me. They've also added a new Brow Bar here that does threading and the like for your above-eye-hairy-caterpillar pals. Bright, fairly wide aisles, a lot of stock and also great deals on things like loo roll and kitchen towel. This store stays open until 6pm Mon-Sat which is also handy for us 9-5'ers. Nice staff, cool shop & great range of goods ~ Partick Superdrug; you are pretty damn super.

I love the old school bottles and it almost makes you feel like you've transported back in time. My mum adores the Elisabethan Rose perfume but at £70 I've only ever bought it for her once and had to half in with my brother. I do think the prices are a little excessive which is why I don't personally buy anything from Penhaligons and tend to go to L'Occitane or Crabtree and Evelyn instead as their products are significantly cheaper but they still stock gorgeous, traditional fragrances. It's also not really aimed at students like myself but I still like going in for a browse and I can always pick out in advance what I will hopefully be able to afford someday... hopefully not too far off. I noticed a stunning lacquered red box in a glass cabinet and it was displayed with three perfume bottles, a gorgeous old fashioned sterling silver brush and comb set and a little butterfly hair clasp on top. It looked gorgeous and I would love one of them on my dresser but it was £120... and that was just for the box. As far as I'm aware, this is the only Penhaligons store in Scotland since the one in Glasgow shut down, there are a few other stockists but this is the only store exclusive to Penhaligon products. The whole store feels really traditional, the dark oak furniture is stunning, everything is really under stated, the packaging is amazing and the final purchase comes in a really pretty bag with tissue paper so perfect if you're looking for a gift.

It's a small shop and when I entered the two staff were quick to offer me help. There's bottles everywhere and my mind went from 'Ye Old Apothecary' to 'Alice and Wonderland' and back as I tried to find my bearings amongst the bottles. There's a selection in the centre of the shop arranged in a circle, while cabinets on the walls contain shaving creams, body lotions and so forth corresponding to the most popular scents available. I was informed that the scents weren't really divided by gender but was directed to those deemed 'more masculine'. After a whirlwind 20 minutes of spraying and smelling my head was in a tizzy. Complete sensory overload! Bless the girl, she was trying to help but I never realised I was so useless with smells! Luckily, they do small tester sets with four or five samples which are suited to gentlemen (or ladies) and are presented in a cute tin. I'll let him choose from that which he likes the best! The presentation is fantastic as well. The lovely staff put effort into arranging the bag. It's a bit pricey, though the set I came away with only set me back £35 for 5 samples of about 10ml each. The 100ml bottles can run up to £85 while the 50ml bottles can be £60. The shaving creams and body lotions run a bit cheaper, generally under £35. Though it's a teensy bit dear, if you're getting something for yourself the staff are wonderful at helping you choose a scent that fits you. First rate!

The ordering process went pretty smoothly but it was the collection that was a bit of a nightmare. On the past two occasions that I have went to pick up orders, they have struggled to find them and I can't understand why. Surely it's not the busiest of branches that is inundated with orders? On these occasions, I have been asked several times to provide the order reference number (even though it was given at the beginning) as they went back and forth trying to find my order - I was even asked if I was sure it was under my name. That left me ridiculously annoyed and in the end, my order always seems to have appeared out of thin air....I really don't understand how they are operating their collection service at this particular branch. Not a bad Boots for picking up the essentials, but I would recommend using the Click & Collect service at a different branch unless you want to be standing about waiting on someone finding your order for 10/15 minutes.
