Perfect workout is such a highlight in my week. I loved our studio workouts high Gary Suka and Jessina, but with quarantine I was happy when Gary reached out about zoom workouts. I wasn't really into the idea at first but Gary has made it super comfortable and fun and he is able to create fun and all-encompassing exercises with the equipment that I have. We had such a good time now I zoom with Gary bi-weekly and my mom is set up for her own appointments! Jessina I miss you! Gary you ROCK! -R.Jones read more

I started going to the Perfect Workout about 6 years ago and it has been a life changer. I wish I had known about them a long time ago. My trainer Debra Bern is the best. She pushes me in a very friendly way and it works. I am in my 80s and can leg press over 300 pounds. I look forward to my twice a week workouts for I have more energy and am stronger plus have better balance. read more

This is a program that is easy to stick with. It's only 20 minutes per session, and the results are evident very rapidly. I travel quite a bit and I especially like the accessibility to their studios throughout California. In five months I've lost 5 pounds and can start to see that my clothes fit better. read more

I have been working out at the Del Mar studio for almost five years. At 85 years old, I am now leg pressing 350 pounds and have greatly improved my strength and flexibility. The individual attention is unique and the trainers are great. "My" trainer is Debra Bern who is fantastic but they are all good. I plan to continue my workouts for the rest of my life. This place is being run by children trying to act like adults. They do not return phone calls, do not do what they promise, and only want to fit you into a program that benefits them. read more

I have been working out at TPW for 8 months now and I love it. I like the fact that I don't have to spend hours at the gym. I feel more energetic and strong. My trainer Lisa is very good at pushing me any time I feel like giving up. Unlike other gyms I have been to, this place is a very friendly environment and everybody is super nice. read more

The Perfect Workout is awesome! I love the fact that it's only 15 minutes each session, and twice a week isn't hard to commit to. Amelia has really helped me achieve my goals. I love this place! read more

I think the trainers are great here, but I think unless you are older (perhaps 50+), or need to build up muscle strength, this doesnt really offer much benefit in terms of great weight loss. I have been going here for a few months now and dont think it has made much difference. The standard cardio mix with core exercises was much more effective. It is a shame I cant get out of my subscription so I can use the money to go back to a traditional trainer. Also - avoid the associated food they 'Perfect Trainer Food'... it is awful. Update: - This place is good for certain demographics and something is always better than nothing.... but... if you want value for money - go find a decent trainer elsewhere and do the work - otherwise you are wasting your money here. I put on weight and when I went back to regular exercising after doing nothing but the Perfect Workout session, found that I was more unhealthy than I had been when i started with them. If you want to fool yourselves and waste money - go to PF.. if you are serious about getting in shape - avoid it - I found it to be nothing than a scam! read more

I've been working out here for the past six years, and it's changed my life. I used to spend hours and hours at the gym, and had to keep increasing what I was doing to get the same results. By the time I tried The Perfect Workout, my weight was up about ten pounds due to perimenopause, in spite of all my efforts. Well, with just this protocol it's gone back to what I weighed in my early twenties (and I'm 53 now). I only go once per week and still get great results, with my only other exercise being a short cardio workout (if I get around to it, which isn't often) and walking my dogs every day for about fifteen minutes. I've been through quite a few trainers at this place in the years I've been here, and they've all been great. At 53 years old, 5 feet tall and 103 lbs, I leg pressed 290 pounds today for over three minutes VERY slowly. If you factor in my size, that's pretty great. I feel strong and healthy, and the best part is I don't have to spend most of my time working to keep it that way. I know this sounds too good to be true, but trust me, it's not. Those twenty minutes are HARD. But I'd rather work really hard and be done in twenty minutes, than spend 90 minutes several times a week and get worse results. Oh, and if you go on vacation you can pretty much skip working out for that time, and it takes very few sessions to get back to where you were before you left. I recommend that anyone who's considering this go ahead and try it. What do you have to lose? read more

LOVE TPW! The wonderful trainers here have completely changed the way I work out - for the better! It takes 2 workouts a week, and each workout is only 20 minutes, and I swear I get better results here than from being in the gym everyday. John is a wonderful trainer and really knows what he's doing. He also has great tips for nutrition and has a wealth of knowledge about getting and staying healthy. I wish I could explain the techniques, but you'd think I'm crazy. Just go in for an intro session... you won't regret it! read more

I have been coming here for over a year and a half. Just renewed my membership for another year. I hate exercising but LOVE this place. 20 minutes in and out. Feel the burn. My trainer is WONDERFUL!!!!! I recommend this to everyone; never felt better, for an old sassy woman. My friends are disappointed that this is not offered in the NYC area. read more

We love going weekly for the last 3 years to the Perfect Workout Studio in Del Mar because it has made a significant difference in our strength and well-being. Eshan is the ultimate professional coupled with his significant knowledge in human physiology. Thumbs up. read more

As an older adult female who is somewhat limited as to the physical exercise I can do - no jogging, sports etc.... I feel as though the equipment and personal attention provided here at the Perfect Workout is best suited to me and others like me. I would recommend it to all regardless of their physical capabilities. M Jamieson read more

The Perfect Workout is just that... Perfect! After a few injuries during other workouts, I came to TPW based on a friend's recommendation. It works! My trainer Debra, keeps meticulous records so it's easy to see how far I've come in the past 8 months. Another noticeable result is that my clothes fit better than ever. Having a personal trainer is also a bonus. I feel more motivated to push that extra rep with someone there coaching me on. You can't get that at a cookie-cutter gym. They offer an introductory one-on-one meeting with a personal trainer. I highly recommend this to learn how the slow-motion training works and to see how much you would benefit. Go for it! read more

I have been training at the Perfect Workout for over two years. I have tried working out at other gyms and would work out for twice as long and not get results. At the Perfect Workout I'm in and out in 30 minutes and have built more muscle and improved my strength than I have with any other program. The trainers are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I actually look forward to working out at thia gym which is NOT my personality. I highly recommend. read more

My husband and had our introductory session. We learned about the theory behind the 20 min workout and experienced the machines and technique. Our trainer Tim was very knowledgeable. We signed up for 1 year. Here we go! read more

TPW is the best workout program I have ever experienced!! The trainers are awesome and adapt your workout to your individual needs. I am a "see it to believe it" kind of person and will admit at first I was skeptical. But I am a believer! In the first six weeks my clothes started to fit better and I am stronger than ever. Thanks PW!! read more

I've been going to The Perfect Workout for 5 months and I have been amazed by the progress I've made in strength, stamina and balance in such a short time! I never imagined that a 20 minute workout could be so effective. My trainer Lindsay makes the sessions challenging and fun, and keeps me motivated to achieve higher and higher goals. I enthusiastically recommend The Perfect Workout to everyone! read more

I have been involved with The Perfect Workout for three months. This has been a fantastic experience. The trainers are personable and very engaged in your success. The concept makes a lot of sense and I feel in the best physical condition I have been since my early twenties. This is not a fad! You will get out of this what you put into the program and it involves soooo little time. read more

Priceless. We have been going for several years. It's the perfect solution for professionals of any age--especially young people born mid twentieth century :) We don't get a trophy unless we win the darn thing. Works all muscle groups in way less time and way more effective than going to the gym. We would not trade it for anything. The staff is super professional and totally focused on us getting the most out of every exercise. read more

I've been going to TPW for over 8 months, it's what I hoped for; it's quick, I feel stronger, I'm firmer and it's personalized. I reach muscle failure on all the machines and leave there in feeling extremely relaxed. The trainers are all very nice, they push you but not to the point of causing you to hurt yourself. I would have loved to have taken off a few pounds but i think I need to add some cardio to do that...... read more

I've been a client at the Solana Beach studio for almost 2 years now. I have a great trainer who has motivated me. I've gained strength and improved muscle tone as well as flexibility. I have to keep up with my granddaughter who is an extremely active toddler. The Perfect Workout is just as its name implies-a perfect, safe, proven method for weight training. It's applicable for anyone at any age. Highly recommend TPW. read more

I have been a regular client of Perfect Workout for close to five years and feel fortunate to have such an efficient experience with friendly and competent professionals. The staff at the Solana Beach location is amazing!Even though I see the same trainer, everyone knows me and greets me warmly. My wife and I have been going to The Perfect Workout in Del Mar for about 6 months and have seen excellent results. We were both in decent shape when we started, but the twice a week 20 minute workouts have helped us both greatly improve our strength and muscle tone and reduce fat. The reserved times ensure that we workout consistently, and the minimal time commitment of 20-30 minutes once or twice a week makes it very doable. I would recommend The Perfect Workout to anyone wishing to get and stay in shape with minimal time commitment. read more

My wife has been working out at the Solana Beach Perfect Workout for over five years, with great results: more energy and muscle tone, and improved bone density. She finally persuaded me to give it a try. I'm really pleased with the program! After six months, I feel stronger and have lost some weight. It's hard work for the 30 minutes I work out, but I feel great when I leave. My regular trainer, Ehsan, is excellent, but I've worked with just about everyone, and they're all knowledgeable, patient, and fun, and provide terrific motivation. I really recommend Perfect Workout! read more

I started my 20 minute twice-weekly sessions at the Perfect Workout a year ago, and I'm in for life. I'm 63, and have never been stronger or healthier. I've always exercised--walking, swimming, yoga--but I never pushed myself. Having a personal trainer has made all the difference. TPW is not like a regular gym with loud music and crowds; it's quiet, small, low-key and EFFECTIVE. Everyone there is friendly and encouraging, and my trainer Debra, at the Del Mar location, is wonderful. In our 1st meeting, she explained the slow motion/high intensity principles so well, and I was hooked. TPW is great! read more

Don't trust the trainers - they don't know what they're doing! I blew out a disc in my mid-back from too much weights too soon! It was only my second workout! Don't do this workout if you value your health! read more

Debra and I have been training together for about a year and a half at the Del Mar Perfect Workout. I train both in NYC and Del Mar. I believe Debra is up there with the best. I have weight trained since 1990 and been dong SuperSlow since 2000. I have trained all over the world. Debra's eyes are always watching my form, she doesn't let a bad form slide by. Her knowledge of our anatomy always surprises me. She is an advocate for a healthy diet. I always thought I was pretty good about nutrition, but over the years slid into some bad habits. Our casual conversations helped get me back on track. The Perfect Workout keeps my body in good shape! read more

This month makes 5 years for me at the Solana Beach Perfect Workout Studio. I schedule my life around my Tuesday&Friday appointments so I can't wiggle out of going. I am 77 years old. The 40lb. bag of bird seed at Costco is an easy lift now. I press 395lbs. on the leg press. The Perfect Workout keeps my muscles from atrophy, makes my heart and bones strong, lowers my blood pressure and lifts my mood. I may walk in down in the dumps or stressed out but when I'm finished I feel great! even though I'm breathing hard and tired. All the trainers are great!!! Lisa is my trainer. I call her my Trainer Extraordinaire. She constantly encourages me, monitors my form, my speed, my breathing and raises my weights but only telling me that she has when I've lifted the higher weight. :o) She has a good sense of humor and makes the workout fun. This is my preventive medicine.... something I want to do the rest of my life. read more
