A nice wood fired pizza a little small and was a bit soft as the base was a bit thin but it still tasted good. The other tapas dishes we got and shared were all good in particular the eggplant chips and the spicy wings. Could've gone back for more easily. A nice place and something a little different for Shepparton from the usual cafes in the town. A big building with lots of room and not over crowded or noisy. The prices of the meal I think were inflated for the special. We had steak for one main and seafood and salad for the other. Don't mind paying $33 for steak and it was scotch fillet steak so not bad, $30 for some fish and battered seafood was just a bit steep I thought. But second meal was free so worth it. You had to pay extra for the gravy for the steak which is normally include in most places. The kids had the old faithful nuggets and chip as there not the most adventurous eaters but a safe bet they will get eaten. The meal wasn't bad the steak cooked as required and a decent serve of chips and salad to fill you up. It's definitely not worth raving about but a decent pub meal. They do have specials on most nights of the week that may take your fancy like a cheap parmy night or $12 of steak night. I would return here again as it was not bad wouldn't mind trying the parmy. It's a fairly simple but old favorite of many.

It wasn't five star quality but was obviously home made sausage rolls, lovely soft calamari and moist chicken tenders not mass produced out of a box. The room was nice and big and well set up. The only problem I didn't have was that it was all cash at the bar and no eftpos so I had to make a quick trip to the atm down the street but was all good after that. We then shared a locally grown apple & berry crumble with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was divine!! Our waiter was so friendly and after chatting about our little furry friend a couple of times, came back bearing a doggy biscuit treat for the spoilt munchkin. How lovely. We will definitely be back! What started off as "we'll stop for 1 drink and then go climb a mountain' turned into a lazy 3hr Sunday session. Which only ended because we really had to get home. The staff here are amazingly friendly and helpful. They really know their cider and have a delicious range of locally sourced produce available. Start off with a tasting before you buy a bottle or two. With four distinct varieties it's best to try before you buy. The Tavern area itself is a quaint barn/church hall style building. Big comfy couches, warming rugs and a lot of blue stone. The outdoor area has half a dozen tables and a pizza oven. As well as two very friendly dogs. We'll be back again in winter to sit by the wood fire and drink our cares away.
