Had tea here one night with the family prior to a function that we were attending also here but…read moreupstairs. It was happy hour on Friday night so the drinks were cheap till 7:00 pm. The meals were reasonably quick to come out considering how busy the place was and were a fairly generous size. The staff were quite friendly and attentive. The function we attended was catered for and was finger food and the quality of it was quite nice. It wasn't five star quality but was obviously home made sausage rolls, lovely soft calamari and moist chicken tenders not mass produced out of a box. The room was nice and big and well set up. The only problem I didn't have was that it was all cash at the bar and no eftpos so I had to make a quick trip to the atm down the street but was all good after that. Was a good night and would be happy to return again.

The prices of the meal I think were inflated for the special. We had steak for one main and seafood and salad for the other. Don't mind paying $33 for steak and it was scotch fillet steak so not bad, $30 for some fish and battered seafood was just a bit steep I thought. But second meal was free so worth it. You had to pay extra for the gravy for the steak which is normally include in most places. The kids had the old faithful nuggets and chip as there not the most adventurous eaters but a safe bet they will get eaten. The meal wasn't bad the steak cooked as required and a decent serve of chips and salad to fill you up. It's definitely not worth raving about but a decent pub meal. They do have specials on most nights of the week that may take your fancy like a cheap parmy night or $12 of steak night. I would return here again as it was not bad wouldn't mind trying the parmy. It's a fairly simple but old favorite of many.

The place has grown substantially over the years and has heaps of separate areas to congregate in. There's even a kids play room for the little ones to burn off some energy. We had the bruschetta, garlic pizza, mixed grill a chicken schnitzel and a couple of kids meals. The bruschetta was a decent size and could've easily been enough for a main. I got the mixed grill as I haven't had one for years. It was big and had a nice piece of pork belly on it also. The garlic pizza was good nice and salty with a light dough, it hit the spot for our starter as we were getting hungry. The place was packed and thought the wait time for the meal would be long but was surprised at how quick it was. The food is pretty good and not over priced. The meals are a decent size and the staff were all nice and helpful. Will go back here again one day with out a doubt it's a good place for a work dinner or a few beers with the guys for the Xmas breakup.

Sure, the beers then to be limited, but as I mention a lot I tend to ignore that aspect. Oh, and it has a decent sized beer garden as well, but then again that is also common in a lot of country pubs.
