This was an excellent small eatery in Palermo. This place is a little of the main streets, but is very nice and the prices are reasonable, compared to many of the touristy places nearby on Santa Fe Ave.
I had the Asada Parrilla, which is a traditional cut of beef rib. It was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. I also had an arugula and parmesan salad and papas fritas provencal (garlic, parmesan fried potatoes), with a reserve bottle of Malbec wine.
The crowd was mostly local and the servers only spoke limited english, but were very patient with my limited spanish. The service was above average and was attentive without being overbearing.
Argentina is known for their Parrillas (grills) and everything is cooked over wood fire, which accounts for the excellent flavor. This place also had a selection of fine wines, pasta, and other italian influences dishes as well.
With so many good restaurants in the Palermo area, it is hard to go to any more than once while visiting, but I will add this to the list of places to go again sometime. It is definitely worth looking for these smaller, local places instead of the shiny, tourist traps while in Buenos Aires. read more
