All good, but we were most impressed with the brown--very malty with a nice hop tingle, more substantive than most brown ales I've had, though still less than 5% ABV. The server mentioned it was a new addition to their tap menu, and I hope they'll keep it. We both got a pint to go with lunch. Lunch took the form of the house salad: lettuce and typical salad fixings with bacon and chicken topping it off. Lots of bacon! Wouldn't have minded less, not that I didn't eat every bit. The chicken was tender and juicy, and all the greenery was fresh. Very nice midday meal. While I don't pass through BR very often, I'll make a point of returning here when I do.

PSA: if you are looking for a catering service for any special event, we highly recommend you DO…read moreNOT go through White Linen Catering Service, located in Bailey, Michigan. We used their services for our wedding and it was our biggest regret. Earlier in the planning process, when I would contact the owner, it would take days before I would receive a response. Now, this wasn't a major issue, as I did receive responses, but this lack of timely communication did make me nervous for my wedding. Fast forward, we are at Friday October 11, the day before our wedding, and we are in the beginning process of setting up the venue for our wedding dinner. We began the set up at 9:30 am and started with opening the box they gave us that had our napkins. As we pull them out, a large quantity of the "white linens" were dirty/stained, forty-two to be exact. These used linens were in no condition to be put out and displayed at a wedding. There were massive yellow grease stains, food smudges, and even the perfect outline of lips from lipstick, right in the middle of the napkin. We went through each individual napkin to ensure they were not stained before setting them up for our guest to use. Once we finished checking each napkin to remove the ones that were less than satisfactory, we began the next task of getting the goblet glasses set out for each seat. After pulling a handful of "washed" goblets from the racks, we realized the napkins were the least of our concern. Every goblet we pulled from the rack was dirty and appeared to be unwashed. At one point, we pulled a goblet out that had chunky lipstick all across the edge of the glass, screaming that not only had this glass not been washed. It simply went from the last event to ours. This was one of the worst examples that we found. Every single goblet was dirty. I texted Natalie (the owner) my concerns and she responded with saying, "Just let Jill know she will get new napkins. Not sure why the goblets are dirty. She can give you new racks if you want. Sorry about that." I was incredibly dissatisfied with that response. It did not come off as her showing understanding or concern to just how much new, undue stress was created as a result of us needing new white linens and glasses. We weren't sure if we would get them in time or in what the condition or quality they would be in, and it prevented us from finishing the dinner set up. Then to keep the punches rolling our linens were not correct. I requested rectangle table cloths and received oblong, which is not the same as rectangle, no matter how many times someone explained that the linens can sometimes be oblong. It was not what we ordered. This whole situation has now caused a three hour project to become an all day affair. Now, I did appreciate her call to ask how she could fix this situation, and she told me she would come drop off new goblets and different linens to remedy our situation. This did help to calm my nerves. In the meantime, while we waited for her to arrive, we started going through the silverware to pass out forks and knives. Like salt on the freshest wound, imagine our shock when we noticed the silverware was also dirty. Forks had food crusted on them, as well what appeared to be rust, dirt, and other grime. The quality and cleanliness was simply not there for these utensils to be handed out to our guest. More appalling yet, the bins which the silverware were stored in were absolutely FILTHY. The silverware bins were pulled out of a shed, and the bins reflected that they were stored in a shed. There was dirt, food, leaves, dust, twigs, and sand on the bottom of every bin - forks, knives, and spoons. After waiting, we find out Natalie is not coming, but one of her employees, Jill. Once she arrived, we were given new water goblets that she assured us were just hand washed and still dripping. I showed Jill the bins of dirty silverware and her reaction appeared unfazed. She did apologize and stated she'd inform the owner. I don't know if she did, because I feel like if she had passed that message on, I would've received a call or email from the owner immediately. The condition our eating utensils arrived in were both potentially health hazardous and completely unacceptable. After Jill left, we began going through the goblets one by one, checking for quality control, and we noticed that there was water residue and that they needed to be dried, or else they would appear dirty, yet again. Rather than complain again, the decision was made that we would hand dry each goblet with a fiberglass towel, as this would also ensure quality control on our part. We ultimately hand dried over 160+ goblets because of our concern to what they would look like if we didn't. What should have been a quick morning affair turned into an all day fiasco. We did not get home until after 4pm, with our rehearsal dinner starting only a couple hours from then. The day became long and stressful because of these avoidable issues that wer
