While there, he became overheated and started vomiting. French bulldogs are a high-risk breed for heat intolerance, and this situation should always be handled with extreme caution. After bringing him home, he was weak, not eating well, and drinking excessively. Although he seemed to improve slightly over the next few days, he later developed severe symptoms including vomiting, bleeding, and distress. Tragically, he passed away at home a few days later. We cannot say with absolute certainty what caused his death without a veterinary autopsy, but the timeline is deeply concerning, especially given the overheating episode during grooming. They leave the leash in the kennel and just let the dog chew a $60 leather leash. When I showed it to them they thought I was leaving the leash with them. They charge $15 to brush your dogs teeth. Most places it is $5. My experience was at the Doniphan shop so I cannot say anything about the other shops.
