Took the Passport from the Queen Mary to a restaurant downtown. It was great.
Unfortunately, not so great when we took it back to the Queen Mary. The driver neglected to tell the passengers until the end that he was only going to the A stop at 10th and Pine. We were unceremoniously dropped off in what I have heard is a very bad part of town after dark. Women with children, tourists, locals, it didn't matter who you were, the driver rudely told us that it was the last stop and the next bus would be through in 25 minutes!! He kicked us off, turned on his Out of Service light, and took off.
One of the riders told me that the same driver did this earlier in the day at the Queen Mary when he had to take his break. He was rude, and in that part of town we might have ended up on the evening news!! Luckily for us some of the riders had smart phones and called for Uber and Lift to get us to our destinations!!
Admittedly, when we got on the bus we should have confirmed that we would get to our destination, but the driver should have announced that he was not going to finish the route.
Basically, that driver put a dozen people in potential harm's way by just kicking us off the bus in a sketchy part of town after dark. This was on Tuesday night, March 3rd, we were picked up at the Shoreline Village stop around 8:30 or so. I sure hope someone in charge reads this and follows up to determine who the driver was so he can be talked to about this issue. read more
