Gian and I stopped by here on out way to Brodick. We saw tons of cyclists using the outdoor courtyard area as a resting spot, so we thought we'd join the party and chill out here too! The staff members are delightful people! Super polite, friendly and overall sweet! This place isn't exactly the cheapest but if you're on holiday, just shrug it off and spend da moneyz Y NOT. Haha I ordered the Taste of Arran platter which came with smoked salmon, smoked duck, smoked venison, smoked gammon, Arran cheese, oats and pickles. I really wasn't expecting the giant plate of awesomeness! Safe to say I had tons of energy to continue our cycle back to Brodick haha Gian ordered the fish and chips, which was relatively good, being a typical meal. He just wanted as much energy as he can possibly consume tbh haha the chips were super nice! We also ordered coffee. Gian took a gamble and order a soy cappuccino which was a bit burnt but still drinkable. I had a cinnamon cappuccino and yes, it was packed full of cinnamon! Not bad tho. The coffee is as good as it gets on a secluded island! Don't expect expert roasters level of coffee! I don't quite remember the cost, but I didn't think it was too expensive for all the food and coffee we had. Definitely under £12 per person! Not bad at all. Def drop by if you're in Arran, especially on a sunny day! Such a great environment

The Bistro is very nice-clean and simple, rustic with modern touches mixed in. They have an outdoor seating area with great views you can enjoy when the weather cooperates. The service and food are fantastic as well. I tried the Pan Seared Scallops with chorizo and french bean salad, Arran Brie & Red Onion Filo tartlet with baked figs and balsamic glaze, and the Fish & Chips. The scallops were so delicious, if you order the starter you'll wish you had ordered it as a main. The brie and onion tartlet was fresh and full of flavor and the fish was a huge, tasty portion with the perfect batter (crispy, not too thick) with big, thick cut chips on the side. Great spot for fresh, delicious food, friendly faces, and great views on Arran!

They're about the same size and always packed, and huzzah, their sandwiches are delicious at both locations. I had walked by a few times the day I finally popped in for a late lunch, as they were swamped the whole lunch rush. I managed to squeeze in to the queue around 2pm and I could tell they had just been through the ringer with the lunch crowd. The guy ahead of me wanted a chicken tikka sandwich but they were out of a couple of the ingredients, so he ordered something else. When it was my turn to order, the guy jokingly said 'let's see if I'm able to make your sandwich!" I ordered the Chiken Ole which was chicken meat, manchego cheese, chorizo, salsa and a spicy mayo on ciabatta. The only one thing they didn't have was the salsa, which in exchange they offered me a bit of salad with some sweet chili sauce. I decided against the sauce and took the salad! What a delightful sandwich this was. My stomach is growling just thinking about it! The bread was freshly baked and so delicious, even at 2pm. The ingredients were all fresh and piled high in to the bread. I also grabbed a bag of crisps and a lemon mint san pellagrino. The greatest lunch on the go I've had in a long while. The guys in here were cool as anything and the music was great. The queues might be long but the sandwiches are worth it. They also serve soups, coffee and baked goods if you're looking for something sweet. I will be back for sure!

I saw a sign for this place in the West End, and my growling stomach led me to it. It's a lot smaller than I imagined it to be however the tables are like benches so it actually sits quite a few people and it's not awkward to sit beside someone you don't know. There's a good selection of food and the sandwiches and rolls are definitely worth the money. I had 'The Works' which was a full breakfast that once after eating, I thought I was going to have to be rolled out the shop. The waiter was quite a quirky guy which I liked and he was very friendly and quick to serve. The chef also came down and he too was very nice. I liked the feel of the place, we weren't hassled all the time by waiters and it's a place where you can get an actual lunch that doesn't involve burgers or cardboard sandwiches.

Oh well, I have places like Great Western Sandwich Co to sort me out. I needed a sandwich. I wanted it fast. And I had £10. I was going down GWR so stopped off here as it's one of the few places along here that I haven't tried (pls forgive me, GWS Co). I had heard good things from Yelpers though so I happily handed over my £10 (and got £5 change, mind you) for a Polo Loco sandwich. The space here would be good for hanging out in, there is actually more seating than I expected so I might eat in next time (although I don't think there are customer loos). The Polo Loco has: chicken marinated in cayenne, paprika and lime, sour cream, avocado, black beans and fried potatoes. Who puts potatoes on a sandwich? I didn't notice that when I ordered, or when I ate half of it but I've started to accept that carb-on-carb action is pretty standard in Glasgow. The sandwich didn't take long, I'm guessing around 3-4 minutes and was nicely presented for takeaway. It would cost £1 extra if I was going to eat in but I had places to be. I had the delicious smell of my sandwich taunting me the whole way home and I'm happy to say, after scoffing half of it that it really is delicious. The chicken is generous, the other toppings all work really well too and it's a hearty beast that I haven't been able to finish. Yet.
