I rarely fly out from Hobby, but when I do, I surely look for The Parking Spot. I've used this service often when I fly out from IAH so I know what to expect since it's my preferred parking service. As the name suggests, this parking spot is on Monroe blvd and my experience was delightful. Every large parking structure has a few options available to the customers with covered and uncovered (Open parking) spaces and this lot is no exception. They have covered, uncovered (self-park) along with extra-wide uncovered self-park (for big cars/trucks). The prices are reasonable and strategically priced compared to the other parking options found nearby. They have a robust loyalty program (which is a HUGE PLUS in my opinion) and you can rack up free parking days easily by booking directly with them. They have a good shuttle service in place for pick up and drop off to and from the parking lot. Let's talk about the overall end-to-end experience now, from start to finish. Once you make the reservation online (or via the app, which, by the way, is super user friendly), you show up at your reservation time and they will let you know where to park (the aisle). Once you park, there will be a shuttle to pick you up from your spot (which is also a HUGE PLUS since there is no walking involved with your luggage). Once you are in, the driver would hand you your parking ticket making a note of the aisle and the parking number where you parked (PRO TIP: take a snap of that ticket so that even if you misplace it somehow, you would have a backup, since I've seen incidents whereby customers lose it and then they tend to either fight or convince the shuttle driver to pick them up from the airport). Once you arrive at the airport (after your vacation), you wait at the shuttle pick up zone for a shuttle to the correct parking spot destination (since they have multiple parking spots at Hobby). The pickup shuttle can be a hit or a miss; fortunately, for me, I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes. In any case, once you open the app, it picks up your location and shows you available shuttles in the area for the pickup. My entire experience was pleasant. The parking spot at Monroe is a solid option when flying out from Hobby. From it's easy to use mobile app to the comparable parking prices and parking options, along with a fantastic loyalty program. I highly recommend The Parking Spot at Monroe for your parking needs if you're flying out of Hobby. read more

WARNING!! WARNING!! Do not leave your car at The Parking Spot, that is, unless you want your car to be damage or destroyed. I entrusted my car to The Parking Spot on my last flight out of Hobby. WORST MISTAKE I've made in years!! I parked my car on October 16th and returned on October 26th to find my left front fender smashed in. I called and talked to two different assistant managers and The Parking Spot's insurance representative to see about having my damages repaired. Found they don't have any security cameras, and only have security on the weekend nights. They don't check on cars while they are parked in their lot, and don't take any responsibility for what goes on in their parking lot while you entrust your car to their care and custody. They flatly refused to take any responsibility for the damages to my car and told me "CLAIM DENIED". Attached is proof of my stay and pictures of the damages done while in The Parking Spot on Monroe Rd. Think twice before you leave you car with The Parking Spot, they don't give a damn about your property, they are only interested in collecting their fees. read more

Super convenient to Hobby Airport! I've used this for several trips in 2020, so my experience was not in a normal travel time. There was always space and the shuttles were never crowded. The app is nice. It shows you where the shuttle is on a map, so you know when to head outside of the baggage claim area. If it's an early or late flight, you just call for pickup. During Covid, it is cashless and there are no water bottles. I believe that the additional wash/detail services are also on hold at this time. read more

Waiting on the van to take me to the airport. Linda came in and parked. Another van came in and parked. The young lady at the entrance gate had to go tell Linda to pick up people waiting. I missed my WallyPark. I often see Spots on the way to Hobby International Airport HOU. So, I decided to give The Parking Spot 3 a try. My biggest disappointment was the online reservation fee of $4.95. Not sure what benefits I get. It supposed to include a car wash but I didn't see it. Instead, I got a bottle of cold water upon exiting. Ah, I thought that was to quench my thirst, not to wash my car. I drove in and no one asked if I had reservation. I saw there were plenty of spots open. The driver waited for me to get out of my car. He wrote my vehicle info on a ticket and told me to give it to the driver when I return. It's very important to make sure this info must be correct, or you have to look for your car when everyone is out of shuttle. I was lucky to catch the right shuttle. I had no idea they are going to different lots from the terminals. Thanks to other reviewers, I'll remember to look for the right one. Oops, I checked in at a wrong page. Just found out this was the WallyPark. So, I heard from the cashier and the website, WallyPark will open next year elsewhere. read more

We always use The Parking Spot when we travel. It is so easy to get to the airport and do not have to wait long for a bus when we return home. If you are a rewards member then you can earn free parking stays. We love that when we are headed home that we are able to grab a free cold water bottle. read more

This place is not worth the trouble. The shuttle is slow, and they don't have enough staff. Monday night my flight was delayed by 2 hrs which I of course had no control over. They don't care they just charge you for a whole extra day Instead of a prorated 1hour or 2 that I could be charged. Would not recommend read more

In light of my last experience, Spot went from my favorite parking for Hobby to the worst airport parking I had experienced. Hobby Spot was my first airport parking where I had to lug my luggage across the lot just to find a shuttle to take me to the airport terminal after a long wait by my car without a shuttle in sight. Fortunately, I was a paranoid person and went to the parking lot hours before my flight departure, so I had enough time to compensate for this folly. The return trip was no better however. Despite the advertised shuttle frequency of 12-16 minutes, many travelers and I waited at least 20 minutes while all the other parking lot shuttles (including other Parking Spot locations) had already passed by twice for our Spot shuttle to arrive. The wait was so long that the queue was extended and few who were at the end of the queue were declined boarding because the shuttle was full. I hope those people didn't have to wait another 20 minutes for the next shuttle. The common saying is that "you get what you pay for", and perhaps this is the result of choosing the cheapest parking option in Hobby area. However, I always chose the cheapest parking in Hobby and IAH, yet none of my experiences was at this level. If Hobby Spot could improve on this shuttle problem, then I believe this would be an excellent option to park because of its economical prices, close location to the terminal, and ease of checking in and out. Until then though, park at your own peril and leave plenty of time for your outbound and inbound trips, because you will be waiting for a long time to get in and out of the parking lot. read more

Good customer service is the key to a business' longevity. This place is hit or miss when it comes to that. I park here because of the great prices ($4.95/day - uncovered) and most of the time the workers are cordial. However, in the last year I have encountered 3 rude service members; one was the cashier and the other two were drivers. I only called to complain about one person because his attitude was simply atrocious. But, this place needs to do a lot better in terms of service. After returning from vacation with a delayed flight I found myself with a dead battery at 2 am at The Spot...ugggh!! Once I let the lot attendant know they sent out a worker with a very large portable jumper and had my car running in less than 5 mins! WOW! No charge for this service either. Best prices for uncovered parking when you get the coupon off the web site. The wait for the bus has always been short in my experience. You get what you pay for. Is it worth saving a couple of bucks a day? Possibly but not as good. Pros- cheaper than parking spot 1 and 2. Not too far from airport since Hobby is so small. Cons- airport buses run much less often, about half the time as the others. This also makes the buses packed which takes longer to get your car since the drivers are dropping off more people. read more

This is The Parking Spot's 3rd and newest location. It's near their original location, but along Monroe Rd instead, and really about the same distance from the airport too. The big difference is they are $2 less for covered parking. Currently only $7.50/day. One drawback when using this location is there are less buses, so they run less frequently and you will be waiting longer to board at the parking lot and at the airport when you return from your trip. If you have the extra time on your hands, mine as well come here and save a couple of bucks. read more

The good: Spot parking is hella cheap. They frequently have discount coupons on their website. The trade-off is convenience. The lot isn't as close to the airport as several others and the buses run less frequently. If you want to save some cash, park here. If you are running late, don't. Even if a shuttle pulls up to you right away you might be waiting several minutes for them to load more people before it leaves. But if you have the extra time and you have a coupon there's no cheaper parking I've found at Hobby. read more

The parking spot on Monroe is easy to get in and out of but the shuttle service for this location is extremely slow compared to the other parking lots. 4 days of covered parking was $32.50 (8.13 per day) . This location is a few miles from the airport passenger drop off. Shuttles run every 15 minutes. Getting to and from the airport was quick and easy. Don't leave your ticket in your car. You'll need it to find your car when returning to the lot. The only faux pax was I couldn't get the autopay machine to work properly. Had to back up and go through the full service line. The attendant was great. Service with a smile and even offered a complimentary bottle of water as we exited. All in all, my car was there just as I left it. Stellar! read more

You have to look for the bus that says spot on it. Okay I got that. But where the heck is it? I just wandered around the ground transportation area until I saw one pull up. But the bus does look very different from the other parking spot buses. It's literally a white bus that says spot on it. If that helps at all. No one asked for my reservation but I didn't get charged the 4.95 fee that someone else mentioned here. Uncovered parking about 5 bucks per day is very good. Quick bus quick bus driver. Great covered parking spot with fence and security. The shuttle picked me up 3 feet from my car. The driver even loaded our suitcases into the shuttle for us, and they dropped us off right at the airport entrance. Same on return. Picked us up at baggage claim, loaded our suitcases and took us to within a few feet of our car. Drivers were very friendly and courteous, and it's the best long term parking price around. We Flew back thru Hobby from a trip at 3:30am, and during a rain storm. The bus for Monroe came by while I was waiting in my wheelchair for my husband to bring the luggage and catch up to me on the side of the street. I told the driver we would catch the next ride since I didn't have all my luggage yet. He said ok, he'd be back. Well, I assumed that meant within :30. My husband called twice and another couple also waiting called twice. We waited for the next bus for :45. It just finished off a very long trip from Las Vegas that was already delayed due to weather by over an hour. Then the airline misplaced my wheelchair, it was the last item off the plane due to the rain. There was confusion as to where to pick it up. Bad night to fly, glad we made it home. But really wish Monroe Parking Spot would have been more helpful! read more

When you had a long flight, it is truly nice to have service that is fast! They even provide cold water upon checking out! We trust our car to be parked here. I won't park here ever again. Waited outside for 20 minutes for the shuttle to my car after a delayed flight landed at 2am. I called for a pickup and no one ever came. A guy driving for the Parking Spot 2 lot offered to drive me since this place is too incompetent to even show up. Isn't that your only job?!?! To pick people up from the airport. Way to go. The only negative was when we returned from our 6-day trip to Vegas, the ticket stub said to go to "3A" at Hobby to hop on the shuttle bus. Well, we went to one of the two Hobby Spot buses we saw and lugged our bags onto it, only to be told when I showed the driver our stub "you have to look for the white bus with the circle over there." No such bus "over there" at the time so we waited for about 20 minutes when the "white bus with the circle" showed up. Next time we'll know where the unlabeled "3A" is. read more

I went to the Spot by accident because I assumed it was the same as Parking Spot. It is different! This is for those who want to save a few dollars a day on parking and don't have time constraints. This one is easily accessible from the interstate off of Monroe. When I arrived, a bus was behind me within a minute! Then we drove around the parking lot for 5 more minutes picking up people before we left for the airport. It is easy to find Zone 4 in the ground transportation area however four different Parking Spot 1 and 2 buses came before a Spot bus came! This was understandable because Parking Spot buses are more frequent, but I kept waiting.. It said the bus was supposed to come ever 10-12 minutes but it was a little longer than that. Once he came though, four of us hopped on and we were heading back. Very friendly drivers and checkout was easy! I'm going to go to the parking spot next time just because the small difference in price is worth not waiting! read more

Only downfall is that when the shuttle picks you up from the airport, it waits for a full load, despite it being 70% full, it still waits. This is one Spot you do not want to go to. I had parked my car there on the outside parking though they charged me for the covered parking. Very deceptive business parking. After long trip you are too tired to fight with automated checkout system. Beware. The parking spot is a much better choice than paying $8.95 for outside parking for your car to rote in rain and sun. This is about as good as you're going to get for airport parking. Fast in, quick van, fast out, cheap price, friendly service and even a free bottle of water after traveling. I say it was "Fast out" -- that's only because of the great service from their driver, Maurice. After we got back to the car after traveling from Belize, I realized that, in the rush to get to the airport, I had left the headlights turned on in wife's car. We flagged down the van as it was driving off. Maurice QUICKLY went to get the heavy battery jump machine by himself. Within less than 10 minutes, we had the car started. Maurice, you rock! (Side note: I hate Volkswagen's headlights switch... not sure why it isn't the same as 99% of all the other cars.) I would like to reiterate what other users have said -- make sure that you get on the right van at the airport. Thinking that there was only one location, we got on the first spot van that showed. In my tired state, I was confused when Maurice kept asking if we were at the Monroe location -- luckily we were on the right van. Also, as far as where to wait at the airport, it would be helpful for someone at the company to take a picture that shows the location to wait and post it here for everyone. read more
