The customer service so far has been excellent. We ate lunch there the other day, pizza and calzone were good. I ordered a sirloin for myself and it was extremely salty, I spoke to the waitress who spoke to her supervisor and proceeded to order a replacement. The new steak was not the same cut as the sirloin, was charred, and surprisingly ended up being completely bland, tasted like it had absolutely no seasoning. We paid and exited the business since they barely had any desserts available from their menu. read more

Food was not up to par. I have the bison burger and it was ok. It lacked any flavor and had barley any sautéed onions. My food was hot but the others with me didn't have the same luck. Was in town for a graduation and decided to check out the casino. It was a cute little setup. They even had The Addams Family tv show playing on one of the screens which was fun. The casino attendant Rose was really helpful and friendly, recommending the chicken marsala when we had dinner later. Great rec! I went with family members to lunch yesterday we were pressed with the Park. We were seated right away and our waitress was great. We all tried something different on the menu my sister was happy to see they offered gluten buns which many places do not. Everything came out hot and delicious . Second visit. While this place looks up scale it is nothing but an expensive bar. Like a pub in England, if you order fish and chips you get them in a plastic basket with a fake piece of news paper under them. We ordered drinks which came fast and salads. But before we got even half way thru the salads our main course came. So do we eat the salad and let the main course get cold or skip the rest of the salad? Also we had a family with small children behind us. Look people if you are going to take your kids to a semi-nice place then make them behave. Held an employee social event for about 25 at the Park on Friday 6/16/23. The service was the worst. The wait team was trying but this is the responsibility of management. Management is a huge fail. Orders were slow to be taken, orders were mismanaged or lost. Food was delivered sporadically, if even delivered. After an hour and a half from time of order, orders went unfulfilled or completely screwed up. In many cases, only partial orders were ever delivered. This place is a joke. Why is it that this new restaurant bar does not equip waiters with a card reader? Those devices have been around for more than a decade. If you didn't know customers love that, I'm telling you now, they do! If Wimps at Burbank, SD (population 93) can do a reader card machine at their little bar/hamburger joint, why can't you? A waiter takes my credit card and disappears for 15 + minutes in this big place. I really don't like that. Also customers have too often left their credit card in the bill folder. It's a time lapse thing. Also my guest payed separately but we had to share a bill folder (no pen) cause they "ran out". What? The place was practically empty. By the way Wimps has a better menu. We came here for breakfast my husband orders the chicken fried steak, he gets chicken fried chicken. He says he thought the menu said steak, I go look at the menu it says chicken fried steak. We ask the waitress about it she says it says that in the title but the description says chicken. I ask for a menu while we wait for the kitchen manager. The menu description says a savory steak! The manager comes out and tries to tell me this is a chicken fried steak. After a few minutes of back and forth discussion, I finally ask in what world is chicken, a steak? She says they have always served it like this and no one has said anything! The one star is for trying to convince us chicken is steak! The food was good despite trying to pass off chicken as steak. My sweet potato fries were stone cold and so tough!!! My husbands burger that was ordered med rare was WELL done!!! No one's meals were edible except the pizza!!! Salmon was cold and dry. Wedge salad was Roman lettuce. They were short of menus!!! Water tasted like sewer... Drinks were very over poured. The gutless ignorant lazy manager was totally worthless and made the poor waitress feel it was her fault. We did make sure she was taken care of!' Do not waste your time or money. Impressed at first and then it went downhill from there. The decor, ambience, and aesthetics are very impressive on first look. However, The Park is clearly style over substance as the service, food, menu, and everything else was far below expectations. First of all, we had a bigger party for which we made a reservation 3 weeks ago, confirmed that reservation, and when we showed up there was no record of it. After waiting about 20 min. for them to set a table, when seated, we were presented with a menu that was a complete mismatch to the ambience. The menu has nothing more than basic sports bar food, but in this upscale restaurant setting???? Here are the rest of the issues if you care to dig deeper: 1. First glass of water....fine, second one tasted like it came from an old paint container. When we asked, the waitress said, "Oh, they must have got this out if the back." 2. No beer list, but they have 12 taps of which no one has a clue about any of them. I was told I could go to the bar and look. So after squinting to try and read the tap handles, I took a shot in the dark. 3. After ordering from the sparse menu with options and combinations that made little sense, it took over 40 minutes for the food to come out, and then much of it was cold. Obviously they do not yet know how to time an order. 4. The prime beef dip sandwich had very little meat on it, burgers were overcooked, everything fried had so much thick breadding on it that there was barely and substance to it, and the pizza crust had the consistency of a $0.99 Totino's party pizza. I could've eaten better food from the Schwan's guy out of my freezer. 5. When the bill came, we had to tell them that they forgot to charge us for $100 of the check and they fixed it after 20 minutes and charged us the correct amount. Then when we asked them to divide it evenly between 3 cards, it took another 20 minutes to bring the bill out. When they did, one person's bill was $20 more than the other 2....I'm not sure why dividing by 3 was so difficult. All in all, I understand that hey've only been open for a few weeks and I'm sure staffing is difficult, but clearly they need to figure a lot out that should've been before opening. You can't sink this kind of money into an impressive place like this and then open with terrible food and service. Tge only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is the impressiveness of the decor. I hope they can turn it around because RC could really use a well done upscale place like this! read more

We just finished lunch at The Park. We were so excited to have a new beautiful restaurant close to home. We ordered a medium rare burger with sweet potato fries. We received a thin well done poor quality burger with regular fries, which were good. We also ordered the a wedge salad and asked for the blue cheese on the side however it was sprinkled all over the romaine lettuce, our server graciously took it back to the kitchen and brought it back with the cheese on the side, the salad featured pork belly meat which was the consistency of jerky. The quality of the food is inconsistent with the amazing atmosphere. read more

We recently had dinner at The Park and it was okay. The place is beautiful but the service was very slow, but we were a party of 10. Our steaks were tough but even so we thought they deserved a second chance. So went back for brunch on Easter Sunday. Big mistake, it was terrible. $30 per person to begin with followed by the same slow service. Then add in the fact that the buffet was practically out of food did not add up to a positive experience. There were very few people there and probably about 90% of tables were empty; yet the host at the podium called over another guy and they poured over seating charts while the two of us waited 5 minutes to be seated. I asked if there was a problem and he said they were just trying to decide where to put us. The waitress appeared before we even got our coats off and we told her we needed a few minutes to look at the menu. Mistake--it took her a while to get back. We ordered our food and waited, and waited, and waited. (Meanwhile another waiter brought us an order that was not ours). Finally our waitress came back and said she forgot to put in our order but they were now putting a rush on it. When our food came, my friend had ordered a burger and asked for ketsup and mustard. After 10 minutes, her food was cold and she got up and looked for the waitress and found her at another table with the condiments on her tray. We agreed our food was just so-so. I wanted this restaurant to make it. If it does, I probably won't be back to experience it. read more

Walking into The Park, I was very impressed. I called 6 days ahead to make a reservation for 30 people for my farewell. I spoke to Stephen over the phone and he was very catering for me and my party. When I arrived the hostess had the waiter Jace greet me who was prompt in telling me he was finalizing our seating, and I could wait at the bar. Stephen who I spoke to on the phone also came to shake my hand and greet me. I waited at the bar for 5 minutes until my friends and I were taken to an area of the restaurant they had reserved for us. As my friends filtered in, the service from Jace taking our orders was prompt, organized and patient. We all got our orders in a timely manner whether it was drinks or food. In the days earlier Stephen and I spoke about the late night menu being the best option for the group. I had the picnic basket and even though it was just bar food it was delicious and fulfilling and all the food came out hot. I tried a Summer and a Snickers martini and both were amazing and well presented. We spent $973 as a group and Jace as well as the kitchen never got anything wrong on our orders. Since we did have a large group there was a compulsory gratuity added but we added more to the tip. Stephen also made me aware when making the reservation that splitting the bill 30 ways would be difficult so I had just arranged everyone to bring cash so we could just do one bill and it worked out great. Even though I am leaving Rapid City, The Park has great potential to become the new go to place and I'm excited for this establishment and highly will be recommending it. read more

What a beautiful place. Whomever did the interior design on this business did an amazing job. The service was excellent and the drinks were reasonable priced. I hate to give this gorgeous place 3 stars but they need to work on a new menu for dining. I felt it was such a let down when I looked at the menu and there was so few options. Sunday after Church was the fisrt time my wife and i along with another couple went to the park for breakfast the buffet was very good even the prime rib. But we were very dissapointed in the service we had to ask 3 times for coffee and waited over 20 minutes to get our credit card back. The waitress kept saying she was so busy she was no waitress and there were very few tables full it was a very light crowd. Not sure we will be back because of the service. read more
