I've got to find the recipe for their sherry vinaigrette salad dressing, which included cranberries, sunflower seeds, and almonds in the lettuce mixture. All of it was very healthy and satisfying! Will definitely return when we drive in or out of Alaska again.

Nat's Hearty Breakfast is a great breakfast. The smashed potatoes are some of the best breakfast…read morepotatoes anywhere. Good value and good flavor. Beef dip is quite good. Beef is not shaved, but not tough or chewy - pure, tender beef. The au jus is more like a thin gravy, but at least it has a beefy flavor. And the nice thing is the bread actually fits in the dish so you can actually dip the 'beef dip'. (Surprising number of restaurants don't consider this) Service is a bit slow but they are accommodating.

The service at this location is abysmal, I went in to have a bite before work and ordered. When I…read morepresented my AMEX card, the cashier informed me that they don't accept AMEX. Which is fine, not every place does. What I didn't appreciate or find amusing was the fact that after I politely explained I would have to go elsewhere due to this fact (as I had left my wallet in my hotel and only had my AMEX in my truck), she proceeded to laugh in my face. Then said, "you don't want your order?" I replied "I would not be able to pay if they didn't accept AMEX." Which was followed by another over the top burst of laughter. If this is the way A&W treat their patrons, then I don't need it. And I won't be returning. In fact I think it'll be a long while before I go to any A&W location. Absolutely uncalled for and extremely inconsiderate and rude attitude. She's lucky I have more self control and consideration than her or I would have let her have it right there in front of everybody. Just horrible.
