I don't live in the Spokane, WA area. I found out about this business through a sponsored ad on…read moreFacebook. The ad showed a beautiful Happily Huckleberry gift basket. I knew right away that this would be a perfect holiday gift for a dear friend of mine who attended the University of Washington over 50 years ago. She was also my high school classmate. (Our friendship goes back to September 1967.) The Happily Huckleberry gift basket comes in three sizes - small, medium and large. Yes, I ordered the large basket online (Cost: $100.00 plus $26.99 for shipping). I was impressed with the quick delivery by Fed-Ex. As promised by Simply Northwest, the basket arrived today at 4:22 PM (PST) in Alameda, CA. I know my friend will enjoy this gift. Thank you Simply Northwest for sending this beautiful and wonderful gift basket. I am smiling from ear to ear, just beaming with joy.

Great little art co-op downtown…read more I stopped in to pick up a print I had purchased from a local artist and was impressed by all the amazing items in the store. Prints, pottery, baskets, woodwork, and a lot more. You could spend a bit of time in the store and come away with some unique, one of a kind local art pieces. Located just behind Aunties Bookstore, next to Barrister's tasting room. You could make a great local day perusing books, art, tasting local wine, and walking the park. I can't wait to go back for a longer browse and purchase an item or two for Mother's Day.

They have jewelry makers, glass workers, painter, pretty much anything you can think of. The shop is run by the artists themselves, and they are some of the sweetest people. They are very knowledgeable about what is in the store and willing to talk to you about anything if you have any questions. It is all local artists, so it makes for great souvenirs for people coming in from out of town. Or even for locals who want something made locally to decorate their house. One of the really cool things is that each month they have an art show that showcases both artists in their gallery and others who are interested in participating. The work is always changing in both the gallery and the shows so you aren't walking in and seeing the same stuff every time. I find this particularly fun and cool because it gives you a reason to go back and just explore what they have and see new things. It's a small little galley that is located in the Liberty building, right where Auntie's Bookstore and Uncle's games is. It is completely worth checking out if you want to find something unique and original that will remind you of Spokane or the Pacific Northwest.

Alpaca Direct is a great source for yarn, patterns and good customer service…read more I recently found a pattern I want to make for my great niece. From the yarn manufacturer's web site I could not tell which solid and variegated color looks good with a variegated one. I called AlpacaDirect and was told Kelly was the best one to tell me. I talked to Kelly who pulled the yarn in question with others that coordinate well. She also had a picture of the yarns texted to me so I could see for myself. I ordered the yard and yesterday it arrived at my door. Thank you, Kelly and Jim.

Beautiful jewelry and genuinely kind service!…read more My mom bought me a turquoise and sterling silver bracelet here, and it's absolutely stunning. The lady who helped us was so nice and informative, she clearly knows her stuff and took the time to explain the different types of turquoise and silverwork. The store has a great selection of authentic pieces, and everything feels thoughtfully curated, not touristy or mass-produced. What really stood out to me was how kind she was to my toddler while we were shopping...it's those small gestures that make a place feel special.
