With the newly furnished restaurant clean, tidy, light and spacious, the helpful staff add to the brightness of the place. And the politeness and speed of service are as refreshing as the house rosé. Within a few seconds of sitting down, our poppadoms and delightfully tasty pickle tray were on our table, quickly followed by our wine. Unlike many Indian restaurants that I have visited, the emphasis here is on speed and smiles, even though I wonder whether the small band of organised staff would be able to cope should their copious tables be filled to capacity. But on the Tuesday night I went, both helpful waiters impressed me by taking the time to clean up a minor spillage on their pristine white table cloth in between courses, while constantly seeking assurance that what they had served up was adequate. The special balti I ordered was plentiful and complemented the mixed fried rice really well - even though the excess spinach made it a little salty for my taste. The mouth watering mixture of tender chicken, beef and prawns gave a perfect opportunity to sample a few of the flavours on offer at Indiaah - and it was quite delightful. Meanwhile, my girlfriend was wowed by her chicken Jalfrezi. It was the first time I had ever tried aloo gobi, but the delicious cauliflower and potato fusion on offer at Indiaah made me determined to have it again on my next visit. And to top it all we had delightfully soft yet crispy Peshwari naan bread. As we polished our plates with the last tear of our respective breads, the waiters were ushering a large group to a table with the same impressive efficiency that they had earlier dealt with us. They seemed to be running a tight ship. Reluctantly, too full to tuck into the dessert menu, which seemed extensive for an Inidian restaurant, we called it a day, glad that we had chosen to dine out on South Asia's finest. The bill came as a pleasant surprise, as the value across the board was evident and the fact that you can park right outside makes this little Pontyclun gem even more appealing. I just wonder whether a little walk to the car might have proved constructive after consuming so many calories.

Bokhara was indeed voted Welsh Curry Restaurant 2009 and its website suggests one food critic rated it as one of the top ten in the UK. Driving out there doesn't feel like your going to an Indian as you come down the drive way up to the manor house. Yet the actual restaurant doesn't feel at all pretentious. Its Indian and Mediterranean so if someone in the group is adverse to the spice there is lot of other choice, especially fish. I went expecting a restaurant in a manor to cost an arm and leg and it really wasn't. In fact it was about the same price as our local, only even better taste. The chicken was so tender and the spices were so delicate and flavoursome. We went on a Saturday but apparently there is all you can eat buffet during the week so I might be checking that out very soon.

However recently it has been taken over by new management and has pretty much all new staff with the manager trying to oversee them all. They clearly were trying but got several orders for drinks wrong and took several attempts to order the food. Also they have redecorated in a way that although looking very good, having removed all the carpets and any kind of material to soak up the sound and as such when it is full it's very hard to hear and can be very echoey especially as the music is played to loud. Having said all this it was near the start of the new holiday season (this past summer) and it was a new management team and they were very apolegetic and had a good attitude giving us a drink on the house so hopefully by now they'll have all the teething problems sorted out.

If u think that you have eaten great tasting Indian food then you have not been to this Resturant…read more Yesterday night when I came to The Royal Bengal I found it very busy which actually made me pretty happy because I never thought that any Resturant would be so busy after the Squares opening, but the royal Bengal sure brought the Indian delicacy to a western side of England. The food here is pretty expensive with the exception of it being in a holiday place but overall I found the staff very polite, the appearance very nice and the food delicious.

And old pub converted into this fabulous Indian restaurant and takeaway. A full car park which is always a good sign, diners packed into the dining room noshing away at bowls of golden curry, fluffy rice and fresh crisp naan breads. There where four of us and we had booked because quite honestly you have to. I'd be very surprised if you got a table if you'd just walked in off the street. Again another very good sign. We where greeted by a friendly member of staff and shown to our table. Drinks orders where taken and poppadoms brought to the table. The pickles that accompanied the poppadoms where delicious. Not too sure if they where made in house or not I'm guessing not, but either way they tasted good. We did have starters and with quite an extensive collection there is a lot to choose from. I had the king prawn butterfly. A deliciously perfectly cooked king prawn fried in golden breadcrumbs and served with a small side salad. For the curry then, I had a lamb rogan josh. Quite a mild dish with only a little spice added. To accompany that I had a keema rice and a couple of chapattis. The rice dish is enough for two to share as the curry itself is quite filling. But it was a lovely accompaniment. Not too overpowering with the spiced meat and not too overloaded with onion they got the balance just right. The rogan josh was delightful. It's the first time I've had it and I was impressed. Delicately flavoured and packed with tomato and onion. The sauce was really tasty there just wasn't enough of it to dip the bread in. The meat itself was nice a little tough for my liking but still very nice. The chapattis where beautifully cooked, fresh and hot strait out of the tandoor they where perfect. Not too small you think what's the point. And not too bit you think what am I going to do with this? The meal was finished off nicely with complimentary liquors. We decided not to go for dessert because we'd had such a good meal there was no more room. The service in this restaurant is very good. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. They are only to happy to recommend a dish to you especially if you a first time curry eater. The restaurant itself is very contemporary, spacious and inviting. I'd highly recommend this place to any curry lover or someone who wants to go to a curry house for the first time. I shall definitely be going back in the not to distant future.

We had daals and tikka for the kids and tandoori chicken and paneer curry for the adults. Really filled a spot after s long journey. There's a restaurant here too so you can eat in if you prefer.
