DL: The Palm brings premium steakhouse service and food to Mexico. The surf and turf with lobster (yes, it's a misnomer any other way, but many places here do shrimp instead of lobster) ROCKS. This is one of the best lobster places in DF. The servers are also very good and friendly.
The Palm is a chain. In some cities, it's very good, but nothing special. In Mexico, however, being a chain and being rather consistent helps it stand out. It's the small things at this place that really impart that - live lobsters (you can meet your meal and know it's not frozen) and excellent service (though the bar sometimes has bad service when they are setting up for events).
The steaks are very good to great. I recommend the ribeye, medium rare. Another part of the menu that is nice is that they do have some Mexican dishes on it, like the tortilla soup (the rest escape me, but they do them well). The core of the menu is authentic Palm fare, but they do have some local dishes which is nice, as they execute them very well.
The managers really do care about giving you a great experience. They are awesome. read more
