    Painting with Kristy!
    Brandon L.

If you are looking for a fun, unique and creative spot on state street with friends, family, dates or solo then you have to check out The Painted Cabernet! My girlfriend and I decided to have a fun date night out and had a blast at The Painted Cabernet. It truly was such a joy and our instructor Kristy was simply amazing! Now you may be wondering... what if I have no experience painting at all!? My girlfriend definitely knows her way around paints and brushes and it was so fun to see her do an amazing job. I just love all the amazing colors we got (; We are definitely different skill levels and we still had a blast following Kristy's instruction. Even if you think you cannot paint, the saying we were told that may ring true for you is "The more you sip, the better your painting looks!" The staff was so amazing and we had such a blast. Karen was working the bar while Kristy was working the paint and loved the experience the two brought to the night! They had a variety of wines and sweet treats to have while you create your work and even some cider and beer options as well! I definitely recommend checking out The Painted Cabernet and hope y'all have as much fun as we did!

Wonderful way to spend some fun time with a group. Never disappointed. No pressure to purchase some drinks but they're available at reasonable prices and the location up by Victoria and State means that you can paint your "masterpiece" and then stroll to dinner within minutes.

Kristi was so wonderful and made our class great. Wine was great and not overpriced. Such a great experience! We will be back!

When Painted Cabernet first opened, I was so opposed to this hot mess concept. I thought it would be dumb and foo foo. My first visit, my mind was completely changed!! I have been to Painted Cabernet on many occasions now, with friends and family alike and I have always had a relaxing and wonderful time! The instructors are so laid back and give you plenty of time and help to work on your project. They do a great job of explaining each technique and each step is broken down for even the most un-creative person (me!) to create a work of art to be proud of! When you register online for your class, if you have a group (more than just you) it's very easy to give your group a name on the online form so that everyone in your group can use that name and be able to sit together. Be sure to check the monthly calendar for deals! They always have a few discounted classes scheduled. You get one drink included with your ticket! They have a great wine and beer selection and even non-alcoholic beverages. You can even buy a whole bottle for an extra fun night out! They sell some snacks, but I've brought snacks in with me before when I came with a large group. Cheese and cracker type things. Every class, there's a raffle! And one lucky attendee wins a free class!! I've had the good fortune of winning this raffle and you better believe I cashed in. Don't forget to bring cash to tip your bartender!!

My "Gal Pals" and I had so much fun tonight. We completed the cherry blossoms painting, which can be done either single or "couple" be version. Kristy led the class--she has an extensive background in art for the past 7 years and made it super easy for all of us to follow as well as ask questions if needed. If you have never done a paint night before, you really should come here. Kristy went step by step and allowed time for everyone to complete the step in their own time and ask for help if needed. Then moved onto the next section. If people want to change colors or do their own type of painting, it is free for all. Great music playing in the background ut made it hard not to sing out loud. With your purchase of a paint night you get a complimentary wine or champagne or you can use it as a $5 off voucher for other items at the bar. They also allowed to buy a bottle of wine and split it between your group, which we ended up doing as well. I am not sure if they do this for all nights, but Kristy did do a raffle near the end and the winner won a free class! Guess what? One of my group members won and we are already planning our next trip over. Thank you to Kristy and Karen for a super fun Galentines Day night out!

I had a great time with my girlfriend painting here during Valentine's day. When you order a spot they give you a drink voucher for 5 dollars off any drink or you get one of their standard drinks. We combined our vouchers to order a bottle and somehow was able to paint a decent piece of art. The instructor is clear about their instructions and gives you ample breaks and time to get your painting done right. I would come here again learn to draw a few more paintings.

I have been dying to go to this place for YEARS! It feels like a dream that I finally went. I will definitely return for the experience. It's such a great way to spend an evening. Our painting instructor, Kristy, was spunky and funny. I really enjoyed her and hopefully she will be there the next time i go. The wine is mediocre, and I personally feel like they should maybe give you two glasses instead of just one because it is a long painting session. But that's just me being kind of a cheapo, I guess. Also...we had a bit of an awkward situation because there were a few people in the session who were outstandingly drunk, and they kept going around and commenting on everyone's paintings and trying to become best friends with everyone. It was pretty weird. That aside, I had a great time. I'll definitely try it again and hopefully not have as many sloppy drunks in the room.

My boyfriend surprised me with an anniversary date at the Painted Cabernet and it was definitely a date for the books! I was a bit nervous at first just for the fact that I have no artistic skills whatsoever but the instructor breaks it down to super simple steps and always makes sure everyone is on the same page. Some people come and just freehand paint so kudos to them! As for the booking process you book online and can choose a group name if you're going with a large group and would like to be seated next to one another. A drink of your choice is also included in the price. On the online calendar you can see and select what day and painting you'd like to try. Every day is different. They also have really cute and festive holiday paintings in December to choose from along with other holidays. The moscato is a must try! Super refreshing and definitely a great way to kick off the afternoon. Time flies by when you're having fun, by the end of the night you'll be impressed with your painting and also the amount of fun you'll have. Whether it be for a special occasion or just some afternoon fun Painted Cabernet is a must try!

    Painting and drinking! Fun fun!!

This place is by far the funnest place I've been to here in my hometown! So glad I was finally able to experience it for a Birthday event. Not only do you get a complimentary drink with purchase but you also get to paint your canvass while jamming out to good music! I would highly recommend this place for a Birthday or any special occasion. They no longer take the Axxess Card, but still at $40 you get to keep your painting, free drink, and tons of fun.

I love love LOVE this place! It's always an amazing time with my friends and family! The staff is friendly and upbeat and makes painting fun for everyone! A really cool plus to this place is that you can start a punch card called a "frequent painter card." You get a free class for every 5 or 6 classes you go to I believe. Also, there's a raffle at the end of every class for a free class! Even those who aren't into painting or art whatsoever are bound to have a great time here! The instructors are great at their job, encouraging, and take you step by step through the process! Each class also comes with one free drink! despite the name, they also serve beer, mimosas, soft drinks and more for those who aren't into wine! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

The class starts promptly at 6, we were running late and the girls were kind enough to let us get there 15 minutes late, just driving in from Las Vegas. I love this place. This is my 2nd time at the Painted Cabernet, and I have to say they're very organized, friendly, and although young, they kept the class moving and were awesome. You can get your wine, a snack, and paint a memorable picture. Whether you paint a picture yourself or do a couple's picture. Either way, great fun. Parking is easy to find, great shops along this street to go to after the class. You can also buy wine glassesat the Painted Cabernet

Love the decor!! Makes me want to come back to paint them all!!!

The Painted Cabernet in Santa Barbara is extremely similar to its Oxnard location. Well, it might actually be more politically correct to say that the Oxnard location is similar to the Santa Barbara (the original location). I've only gone to the Santa Barbara location once, but it has a similar vibe to the Oxnard location. Overall the experience is very similar. My best painting, or at least my favorite, was created here. This site is located on State Street so, you have plenty of things to do before and after you paint. In my case, I went and had lunch then explored downtown Santa Barbara. I ended that Saturday with this painting class. The price of the class was $40 dollars and you get a complimentary glass of wine to go with your painting. Painted Cabernet is definitely a fun experience. My main reason for driving the extra 30 miles to get to this site was that it offers different paintings from the Oxnard location for any given week. It's nice to have a larger selection of classes to choose from. Oh ya, if you go here from Oxnard, don't forget to bring your stamp cards. They work here also.

    Mine was the best!

I am trying to plan a girls night and it can get expensive for 3-4 people. I see there is a section for coupons. Does anyone know where I would find coupon codes?

Hi Brea! Thanks for thinking of us for your girls night. We have a gift certificate special right now, 2 people and a bottle of wine for $80. Hopefully that helps!
