Paint Kings is the most unprofessional business I have ever worked with, and I will not be using them again. The list of reasons is too long to give here, but I will focus on a few of the worst ones. I take care of my mother who has various health conditions, so staying healthy and social distancing is important to me and my family. I mentioned this when I called them to set up my initial appointment and asked them to call when they showed up rather than coming to the door. This was ignored, and when I told the person who showed up that they were supposed to call he told me "I never got that message" and continued talking to me through the screen door. At one point, he even rolled his eyes. Throughout the process, we had reminded them over the phone, through email, in person, and even put notes on our door with our phone number. Every time we were ignored and they continued to ring our doorbell to talk to us face-to-face rather than over the phone. I understand that they had to come inside at one point to paint the front door, but the painter came into our home with no mask on. I understand that they may not agree with wearing masks and social distancing, however they should have respected my wishes as their customer. In addition, their communication was awful. When we had our initial appointment, we were told that the job would take one day. At the end of the first day, the painters explained that they prepare the house with primer and stucco work on the first day, but paint it the next day. By the end of the second day, the house was partially painted and the crew left without even telling us that they were leaving and coming back for a third day. When it turned into three days of painting, we had to cancel a pest control appointment we had because their plastic was covering a lot of the areas that would have needed sprayed. We don't mind that it was a three-day job and don't want our house painting to be rushed, but this should have been communicated to us ahead of time and throughout the process so that we could know what to expect and plan accordingly. Also, at one point one of the painters was upset and arguing with the other during our final inspection of the house. He swore and "flipped off" the other painter. They got paint on two of our neighbors' cars. There are so many other unprofessional things we experienced like trash in our yard including chewed gum, paint on our tree and in our rocks, a worker napping on our back patio curled up in front of our back door, they broke a wooden frame we had for a compost heap and didn't bother to tell us, and tore strips of paint off our window frames and told us there was nothing they could do about it since they don't have paint that matches, and there were other issues even beyond all of these including with the paint job itself. I hope you will take this review into consideration when deciding who to hire to paint your home. I know that I never want to have an experience like this again so I will be turning to another company for our next paint job.

    Final touch up.

I reviewed multiple painting companies on Yelp and google. I got quotes from 3 in person and PAL Painting stood out from everyone else. Their rate was actually comparable to the others but I think what stood out for me was Nevada's approach when he came to our house. He later described it as being a straight shooter and that's actually right. There's no bull -- he does what he says. He's not going to pretend in any way and honestly he was super nice and he seemed to understand everything on my plate with getting a house ready. He suggested the paint color, brand and finish and gave me a rationale why. Other companies just deferred to me (which is nice) and suggested I go to a paint shop. Honestly, I just needed a hand with things -- Nevada recognized that and just got 'er done. But he wasn't pushy and I'm certain that if I had a specific color in mind, he would have proceeded with that color. In my case, I just appreciated the help. He and his colleague Omar re-arranged schedules to get the interior areas that were most visible, ready for an open-house. They made sure the darker color was covered, did a walk through with my realtor, sent me pictures throughout the process and honestly did a phenomenal job and got everything done in a reasonable amount of time for the price they quoted. PAL painting has almost exclusively 5 star ratings for a very good reason. They're just terrific and want to do solid work and help people. I fully recommend their services.

My wife has been wanting to paint our home for quite some time. It seemed like the perfect time to do so. I contacted three companies and received several bids. One was an outlier and the other two were comparable. We chose Pal Painting based on their personal approach. At every step of the process they went out of their way to make sure we were happy. They made recommendations throughout the process, all of which were very much appreciated and valuable. They completed the job on time and with outstanding results. I normally don't write reviews, but I felt that their time and effort warranted a strong endorsement. My wife and I couldn't be happier from start to finish.

After receiving four quotes, we chose them based on a recommendation and initial confidence during our consultation. Unfortunately, our experience quickly became disappointing. We met in February and scheduled a start date of March 11. We were told someone would contact us the week prior to confirm paint colors, but we never received a call and had to follow up ourselves. On day one, the foreman did a walkthrough and said they would start upstairs. Only minimal prep work was completed on two bedrooms before the crew left early, promising to return the next morning. Day two was even more concerning. Only one worker showed up, the foreman was absent, and prep work was still incomplete by midday. We also observed workers frequently leaving to vape. I will say the project manager was responsive and communicative when I reached out, and did try to address concerns. That evening, a serious incident occurred. We were alerted via our Ring camera that there was an issue involving the crew and our neighbors. When I called the foreman, he stated they were disposing of paint by digging a hole and burying it on the property. Given how close our homes are, this understandably upset our neighbors. The situation escalated into a confrontation, resulting in police being called, and the crew was told to leave. When we returned home, prep work was still unfinished, no painting had been completed, and there was trash left behind. A new crew arrived on day three and completed the job in a single day, which highlighted how inefficient the previous crew had been. However, communication remained poor at the management level. I attempted multiple times to reach a supervisor but never received a callback before the weekend. While we were eventually offered compensation, it was not proactively handled. I had to follow up myself to address and correct the compensation, which added to the frustration and made it feel like resolving the issue was not a priority. Due to managing our children and my husband working a 48-hour shift, I couldn't fully inspect everything immediately. After noticing additional incomplete work, I reached out again and received no response. We've hired many service providers over the years and have never experienced anything like this. This project caused unnecessary delays in selling our home and added significant stress. Given the cost and importance of this work, we expected far better professionalism, communication, and accountability.
