They kept in contact with me in advance regarding their arrival time and did a great job! Looking to refresh and upgrade the house we solicited several interior and exterior paint quotes. After completing the exterior, we were about to hire an indoor painter when monsoon flooding upended our plans. We ended up moving out for half a year while our house was renovated. One of the contractors we secured was Kowalski Painting to paint the entire interior. Not only did we have their previous estimate, but we also met their rep at the property to review the paint and ensure all was in order. Upon start of the project, I visited the property to check on progress. Though we had now selected a much lighter paint color, it appeared to me that the color was a bit on the flat side. I contacted Matt and was assured that it was the same sheen as the previous paint. Once the project was completed, we still had to deal with numerous other contractors to complete the rest of the job and move back home months later. Having a 4,800 SF house remodeled takes some time. Upon moving in, we immediately noticed that the walls were dull. Also, any slight scuff marks would not wipe off. In areas where the paint had chipped it was also easy to see that the old paint had a much higher sheen than the cheap paint that was applied on our walls. Since we approved the paint estimate, the onus was on us. We trusted KP to match the previous paint sheen, as they are the professionals, and provide an estimate with paint of similar quality. They snuck in a much lower sheen that we then unknowingly approved. Now we know better. We also received an estimate from KP to redo the kitchen cabinets, but after this experience I would not trust them to paint my doghouse. We are now securing quotes to get the interior repainted. It is interesting that so far, all the professionals that have come through are recommending a better-quality sheen than was applied by KP on our walls. All have said that they would never use such a low sheen in the interior of a home. Lesson learned. And while we have now recommended our exterior painter many times over, likewise, our interior paint story has fortunately steered many others away from KP. read more

So it started out great with this company. We thought Matt was a stand up guy. He got us on the schedule quick and got the inside paint and cabinets done in a quick time. We didn't even move our furniture in yet so it made it easy. Well since then we have found part of our switch plates missing not sure what happened to the box that had them. We have found issues where tape was pulled off around fixtures and still shows the old paint. Then we find the base boards behind the fridge where not even painted so they are still the color when we bought the house. So now over a month later we are finally putting furniture together and stuff in its place since we were going to get floors done we waited and decided to do something different. Well now it gets even better we would lean a picture frame or even a tv box against the wall and 2 days later when we are finally able to move it where it goes it is now stuck to the wall. Of course when that happens we try to pull off slowly but nope by then the paint is stuck to the item and comes off the wall. So not only do we have spots in multiple areas now it is also stuck to what ever item leaned against it. So of course we reach out being after 30 days the paint should cure and shouldn't have an issue well that didn't work. So my wife reached out to Matt and the first thing that is done is we are blamed for damaging the walls when moving in the furniture. Mind you some of these marks are way up the wall where you can tell something was leaned and there is no damage to the wall. You can see the stuck paint on the item and all. So they offered to come out and give a quote to patch. That is unreal. Maybe I should have made him replace our kitchen cabinet being his worker failed to pull out a screw that secured the double oven in the wall and ripped it out along with damaging the cabinet. Nope instead they patched it with wood glue and painted it and extended the warranty which isn't even a warranty. I would think twice before using this company as they are great on the cover but don't when you open the book depending what page you get to it's a whole other story. Yes Matt we are over 30 days since the job was done as we waited to move stuff around and now having issues after the paint is suppose to be cured. And yes you offered to fix the unpainted base board behind the fridge but yet you blame all the other stuff sticking on us that we hit the areas. You should have come look at them before saying you would send some one to look at it and give a quote to repair. Your team is great but man when you find an issue all of a sudden it's the customer good luck in the future. If I had movers one thing this was my wife and I moving everything so we know exactly what is happening. My wife has been in property management over 20 plus years and has dealt with a lot of paint. This company painted my home back in January. At first they were very attentive, professional and thorough. As the job progressed this unfortunately changed. They promised a lead painter that spoke English would be supervising the Job. By the end of the week they pulled him from my job and sent him elsewhere leaving a big problem with translation and communication with non-English speaking staff. These workers continuously did not follow my requests, were careless and they caused, deep scratches and marks to numerous expensive shutters in my home. They also scratched up my new front loader washer and dryer. Thousands of dollars in damage. The owner credited us a fraction of the damages his workers caused and then blamed the other damages on us. They also rushed to finish the job at the end and left multiple areas not sufficiently coated as you can see the old paint showing through. In the future I will have to do more extensive research on the company I Use as well as do daily visual inspections to note any damages and any work done inadequately. read more

Getting the interior of our house painted was a long time coming, and I probably couldn't have picked a worse time with supply chain issues. However, now that it's done, I'm very happy with the final result. I met with the owner back in September with the recommendation from my friend who had both her interior and exterior painted. Matt responded quickly and always had excellent communication. His was the first estimate we received, and it was in line with what we expected. We met with two other painters who would have been cheaper but their communication was seriously lacking. Once we finally made our decision to go with Kowalski, we had to wait about 6 weeks to start our project. Matt, Keegan the project manager and Alfredo who lead the crew all arrived precisely on time. The crew was very respectful of our property and did the best they could to accommodate us living in the space while they painted. The project was slated for 5 days but got done one day sooner which was a relief. There were quite a few items to address during the walk through, but they were resolved by Alfredo himself while the crew was on another job. He even fixed a couple nail holes in the wall my husband put in the wall after they finished. I was recommended to Kowalski painting by a business associate. From the first time I contacted Matt, the owner, until after completion I cannot emphasize too much the incredibly professional and customer-centric approach adopted by the firm. It was so refreshing to deal with a firm that returned my phone calls and emails and provided texts to me to alert me who would be arriving and when. The only downside I encountered was that the team was to arrive at 8:00am on a very hot day in June. They arrived at my door at 7:00am, and I had just woken up, so I was still in my PJs. I had to rush about to get dressed so they could begin their work. I would not have a problem if the team arrived even, earlier, such as 6:00am, as long as I could plan on it, get up early enough to dress and enjoy a cup of Java before their arrival. I would not wish to see the team enduring 100+ degrees F temperatures as the day wore on. The team was very flexible when we encountered a couple of issues that were blunders I created, listened to our concerns, and responded positively to try and satisfy our needs for the paint job. They completed the work in a timely manner and demonstrated a commitment to quality in the work undertaken. I could not ask for more. The price was reasonable as well. I used Kowalski Painting back in May 2020 when I bought my first house. We hired him to paint most of the interior, doors, and kitchen cabinets. He had come recommended with high reviews. Let me be the one to tell you to not be fooled by them. 2 years after my house was painted, I am still bothered with the quality of work received and am upset. Immediately after they completed the job, everything looked beautiful and we could not have been happy. Soon we came to find out whatever they did, they didn't do it right. Any time there is a scuff or mark we have to be EXTRA careful trying to wipe it off with a wet towel because if we aren't we are going to wipe away the paint and go down to the old color. That shouldn't happen. I shouldn't be afraid to use wall-approved tape because it's going to take the paint of my walls. They also weren't precise when it came to the paint lines at the baseboards or ceilings. I paid professionals so it could be done right. After having the paint issue on my walls, I had also noticed they liked to take short cuts and not paint places they didn't seem were necessary like along the sides of the doors, corners, or even the area above my stove that you could see still. I called them up and told them about both issues. They offered to come out to fix what was missed but as for the paint coming off they said we could call for "the lifetime of our paint" and they'll come out to paint over. That's a nice offer and all but I paid you guys to do it right the first time and if something happened and I did call to have you guys come back, the color won't match perfectly over time. The correct response would be that I'll come back out and fix it all and do it right this time. Sorry for the mishap. I recently had someone come install new floors and baseboards and we were curious about having some of our doors repainted so it was fresh with the baseboards. I can grumble and move on over the other stuff mentioned but this is where it really upsets me and why I want others to have a real Review to go off of. My new contractor said it was a bad paint job, some of it wasn't even completed, the paint was even across it all and then when we gave them the paint they used originally since we needed it for the baseboards, they made a comment on how the paint can quality was one of the best but once you actually look at the paint they could tell someone diluted it down. Just be warned, the end project might look great at first but you'll start to have issues and continue to find more and more issues. Save yourself the hassle and go with someone else. read more
