Too bad this image was immediately shattered by the way the owner runs this establishment. My bands and I had the displeasure of playing here last night, and we were thanked for all the business we brought in by being subsequently banned from here. Paying customers were complained to vociferously about their cell phones and cameras being plugged in, our band was harassed constantly about power draw issues (which is not our responsibility.) we were told only later that we had broken some unwritten rules about where we could go and how long we could play. Rules, I might add, that she was too busy being snarky and rude to us during the night to inform us of. We were also kicked off the stage; completely unceremoniously shut down TWO HOURS before our time was contractually up because 'it hurt her ears.' May I mention again that the facilities were a bug-infested embarrassment populated mostly by LIVE BEES. My singer got stung in the ear. I was worried for my junk when I was dropping a deuce. Look, lady... ya wanna be alone in the quiet? Fine. Bye.

Dana the owner was very helpful on accommodating our needs. We had very little decorating to do because the interior was so beautiful. We also had the opportunity to hire one of the chalkboard artist to design the board with our theme. Everything was so nice. This is a venue I will definitely use for future gatherings.

From our first sit down meeting (before covid) to the emails and day of event set up and load out, Kate and Janell were professional, personable and covered all of our questions and requests with a smile. It's the little details that make a difference in a good event and Hughes Manor checked all the boxes for me. Lots of outdoor seating selections, a nice variety of tables and chairs, special lighting fixtures, and accessible a/v hook ups - Hughes Manor is full service! I was present at the event Tammy W. is referring to, and her review does not reflect what actually happened. She was involved in a serious disruption during the event, which caused a lot of stress for the couple and guests. It's clear that this review is coming from a place of personal frustration rather than an honest assessment of the venue. From what I saw, the venue was clean and well-kept, exactly like the pictures. The bridal suite was private and comfortable, and the staff was professional and attentive throughout. I didn't witness any of the issues she's describing with noise, cleanliness, or parking. In fact, the team went above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly despite the challenging situation. It's upsetting to see someone try to damage a venue's reputation with such an unfair account. If you're considering booking here, I'd strongly encourage visiting in person or speaking with other guests--my experience was truly positive.

The gazebo is dirty and could use a simple power washing. If you're a bride and need your own space don't book this venue, there is one small room and it gets hot or you can use the main house but everyone who needs to use the restroom will walk through your space. They up charge every little add on so be prepared for that as well. Parking is also an issue if you have more than 10 cars. Overall, what could be a descent venue is not what it appears to be.
