Not dirty but kinda dingy with fluorescent lighting, not coming here for the ambiance. Service was great. I ordered the lamb gyro which came with a generous portion of well seasoned, tender meat, fresh tomatoes and onions, and a whole lot of tzatziki sauce. All was bundled in a soft, warm pita pocket. Really delicious. Fries on the side were just meh, lacked seasoning, kind of an afterthought to the gyro itself. Would recommend if you are in the area!

She ordered a gyro burger take out she told me it would only take 2 minutes never ever had i heard gyro burgers only needing 2 minutes so this seemed very unusual. Within about 10 minutes she got sick and threw up. At first I thought maybe it was just her being too hungry, so I saved the food. Later, she tried eating it again, and the same thing happened she threw up shortly after eating it. I also noticed very poor sanitation while we were there. The worker handling food wasn't wearing gloves, the fries were being kept in what looked like a Bud Light container, and I saw her use her bare hand to grab fries for another customer. I don't know if anyone else got sick but i did and this felt unsafe and needs to be taken seriously.

My hubby loves the Italian beef dunked in the juice with giardiniera, and I love the gyro with extra tzaziki. I always plan to try a Chicago dog, but their gyros are SO DELICIOUS that I end up ordering that instead of a Chicago dog. (Maybe someday I'll try one.) The owners are both genuinely friendly and likeable. Today we took a day trip, planned to stop in Hayward for a Bomb Dog treat, found out their food truck was in Cable this weekend for Fall Fest, so we re-routed our trip to enjoy a gyro and an Italian beef. Both sandwiches are absolutely LOADED with meat, and indescribably delicious. If you're looking for great food in Hayward, go nowhere other than Bomb Dog food truck!
